Police investigate Steven Seagal for sexual assault

The Los Angeles Police Department investigates the American action film actor Steven Seagal for sexual assault, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Police have not given more details about this investigation that is open around Seagal, who in recent months has been accused of sexual abuse and harassment by several women.
The specialized media The Wrap published an article on Thursday in which a woman said she was raped by Seagal in 1993.
Regina Simons, who was 18 years old at the time and who participated as an extra in the Seagal film "Terreno salvaje" (1994), said the actor invited her to a supposed party at her home in Beverly Hills, but said that when she arrived there was no one else.
According to Simons' story, the interpreter took her to her room, closed the door, began to kiss her and raped her.
Other actresses like Portia de Rossi, Julianna Margulies, Jenny McCarthy and Katherine Heigl have publicly accused Seagal of different episodes of sexual harassment.
After the scandal surrounding producer Harvey Weinstein, accused by dozens of cases of sexual assault, Hollywood is immersed in a huge controversy in the face of the constant trickle of new revelations of the same type that have sprinkled artists like Kevin Spacey, Dustin Hoffman, James Franco , Brett Ratner, John Lasseter, Louis CK or Bryan Singer.
Last Sunday the 75th edition of the Golden Globes was celebrated, a gala that was marked by protests against sexual harassment of women in Hollywood: the artists paraded in black on the red carpet as a complaint and many of them wore pins with the phrase "Time's Up" (Time is up).
