Now it's time for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, the third major update of Windows 10 in which Microsoft goes one step further to lay the foundation of the software needed for mixed reality and virtual reality, while improving some of the tools that were already integrated in the previous version.

We talked to Aaron Woodman, director of Microsoft, who has told us some details about the 5 main novelties that are integrated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, and on the presentation of its renewed range of convertible laptops Surface Book 2.

Woodman indicates that the new Windows 10 update includes hundreds of small changes in the menus and internal functions, but highlights 5 great new features of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

Increased support for HMD devices
Aaron Woodman is one of the most responsible in Windows. We have had the opportunity to arrange a brief interview with him on the occasion of the launch of the last update of Windows 10, and he has commented on some of the functions in which his team has been working during the last months and that now they see the light in the Windows 10 Fall Creators update.

The arrival of Windows 10 Creators Update was the beginning of Microsoft's collaboration with leading manufacturers of HMD (head-mounted display) or virtual and mixed-use glasses with the ability to view content created in 3D in a real-world environment and of 360º.

"With the arrival of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update millions of computers and devices with Windows 10 will automatically be compatible with any of these HMD helmets that have developed with Microsoft, getting a more immersive experience without having to change equipment, says Aaron Woodman.

Mixed reality viewer

This new software will be integrated in all the equipment with Fall Creators Update and allows to enjoy the mixed reality directly in your Windows computer, laptop or tablet, without using any type of HMD helmet or additional accessory.

"With this new feature you can use the webcam of your PC or laptop or the camera of your convertible to see on screen objects created in Paint 3D or downloaded Remix 3D mixed with real objects of your environment. According to Woodman, with this new way of interacting with objects in augmented reality, will reduce the technical costs, making tools more accessible to all creators and consumers of 3D content.

In addition to being able to see augmented reality content directly on the screen, this feature allows the integration of 3D content into Office.

"You can download 3D objects from Remix 3D and insert them into your PowerPoint presentations and add effects or mani[CENSORED]te them as you usually do with a photo, although obviously the result is much more spectacular when it comes to a 3D object."

A smarter photo app
Aaron Woodman also dedicated a few words to the innovations that are incorporated into the Windows 10 Photos application, which with this new update offers a new experience of much more optimized and intelligent use.

"With the new experience of Photos users will be able to more easily find the photos in which they appear a certain person or place thanks to the artificial intelligence, and to create new videos of memories with those photos, fragments of videos, etc. and add a soundtrack, all in a very intuitive way. "

That way, the Photos app picks up the control left by Movie Maker, with which you can easily create familiar videos from different elements and add effects and texts.

The 3D content will also be present in Photos because with the new update you can insert elements in 3D or draw them directly on your photos or videos and add 3D image effects like snow or light effects.

Your contacts always with a click
The director of Microsoft has stressed that one of the priorities of Microsoft has been to facilitate communication between people, so it is quite logical to implement a feature in Windows 10 with which to have your most frequent contacts with just a click away.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update allows you to fix your frequent contacts in the taskbar from where to maintain a direct communication with them.
