OyaYansa
The IFA 2017 in Berlin is the place chosen by Samsung to present their new wearables whose main novelty is that they are submersible, holding up to 5 atmospheres deep and therefore allowing water training. In Computer Today we had the opportunity to make a first contact and brief analysis of the Samsung Gear Sport and Gear Fit 2 Pro, as well as get up close and personal with the new version of the Gear IconX wireless headset. With a circular and minimalistic bezel, the Samsung Gear Sport inherits part of the best of Gear S2 and Gear S3. On the one hand it recovers the size of the S2 with a Super AMOLED screen of 1.2 inches with resolution 360x360 pixels, but at the same time it has technical specifications of the Gear S3: dual core processor of 1 GHz, 768 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. The change in size is perceived especially in its weight: just put it, one notes that we are before a clock much lighter than the previous model. It also has a smaller thickness (11.6 millimeters) and has a somewhat smaller battery, 300 milliamperes compared to 380 mAh Gear S3. In this brief analysis and first contact with the Samsung Gear Sport we have not had enough time to be able to ensure if, as Samsung argues, this cut in the capacity of the battery does not affect the battery of the device thanks to the greater efficiency of the processor, something that we will confirm in the future analysis of the smartwatch.
