Hosted by online wedding vendor directory Bridestory, the exhibition runs until Feb 12 in Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, South Jakarta. Similar to the previous year, the 2017 Bridestory Fair features a plethora of wedding vendors, such as Svarna by Ikat Indonesia, Mel Ahyar Bride, Suryanto Decoration, Gordon Blue Wedding Cakes, Atipattra wedding photography and more. The event’s lead project coordinator, Nathalia Isadora, told The Jakarta Post that, unlike other wedding exhibitions, the 2017 Bridestory Fair was developed based on research. “We conducted research prior to the event and found what is in vogue,” she said, adding that the exhibition's green botanical theme was chosen according to the survey. The survey found that couples nowadays prefer minimalist, effortless and modern styles, leading the fair to showcase vendors that meet these preferences. “Only invited wedding vendors are allowed [participate in] the fair. We are the only curated wedding fair in Indonesia,” said Nathalia. In addition to po[CENSORED]r wedding vendors, the 2017 Bridestory Fair is also showcasing newcomers, such as Litany Handmade Jewelry, Orchid Decoration and Brownfox Stationery. “Litany is a handmade jewelry brand offering a nature-inspired collection and Orchid Decoration is still pretty new in the industry,” said Nathalia.
