*CaRtoo'N™
After showing up in Skylanders Imaginators, it's now been revealed that Crash Bandicoot is also in the new Skylanders Netflix show, Skylanders Academy. YouTube's pix pinguino uploaded a video of Crash in Skylanders. Notably, he speaks. In the video game series, he doesn't. He has an Australian accent, which makes sense given his origin. Here's the clip: Crash shows up in Skylanders Academy's eleventh episode, which is titled "Crash Landing." The episode's official description reads, "After Crash Bandicoot is somehow transported into their world, the Skylanders have to help him get home by finding a dark relic." You can watch all 12 episodes of Skylanders Academy right now on Netflix. Skylanders Academy is the first production from Activision Blizzard Studios, the company's TV and movie division that also has plans for a Call of Duty film and more. It's also the first Netflix original series inspired by a video game. Skylanders Academy's showruner is Futurama writer Eric Rogers. Based on Activision's video game series, the story follows the characters Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac, and Pop Fizz as they go on adventures and stop bad guys. Chances are you will recognize some of the voices, as Justin Long (Dodgeball) voices Spyro, while Breaking Bad's Jonathan Banks portrays Eruptor. Funny guy Norm McDonald (Saturday Night Live) plays Glumshanks, while High School Musical's Ashley Tisdale voices Stealth Elf. Susan Sarandon and Metallica's James Hetfield also have roles. It's not immediately clear who voices Crash or if he'll show up in future episodes. Season 2 has already been confirmed and will debut through Netflix in late 2017.
