Suarez™ Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Carlisle have re-signed forward Derek Asamoah on a two-month contract. The 35-year-old former Ghana international had been released by Carlisle at the end of last season following an 18-month spell, during which he clocked up 79 appearances and scored 14 goals. Carlisle manager Keith Curle said on the club's official website: "He wasn't engaged for this season because I wasn't going to be able to offer him the game time someone of his age wants. He didn't want to sign a contract and just be a squad player. "The situation has slightly changed for both parties where I haven't been able to bring in the type of striker I wanted with that kind of pace. He hasn't managed to secure anything for himself but he's out there and still available." Quote
