The Elantra Sport account with a turbo engine of 1.6 liters of four cylinders that anyone familiar with the Veloster Turbo will recognize. Curiously at 200 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque, the engine has a rating of a horse of force and 5 librasb-ft of torque less than or the Veloster turbo or Avante. The front-wheel drive of Elantra Sport also can be ordered with a 6-speed manual transmission or a dual clutch transmission of 7 speeds. The Hyundai Elantra Sport and its twin Avante, will share a new multi-link rear suspension. This replaces the torsion bar and is expected to contribute to a more agile handling. Hyundai has not announced if the optional package extreme anti-roll bars, springs and shock absorbers of the Avante sport would be available in the United States. 1
