The Galaxy gets a brand new platform – the same one that underpins the new Edge SUV, S-MAX and Mondeo. That makes a new range of engines available, such as 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol EcoBoosts, plus new 1.5 and 2.0-litre diesels. As in the Mondeo, it’s possible Ford could develop a hybrid Galaxy, with CO2 emissions around the 100g/km mark. Also coming soon: Ford S-MAX (& C-MAX) Price: from £24,000 (est) On sale: summer 2015
