  12. Link 1. CGMiner Developed in 2011, CGMiner has become one of the most po[CENSORED]r Bitcoin mining programs on the market today. It's also one of the oldest Bitcoin mining programs still in existence. While its website may seem fairly basic, do not worry. There are a number of reasons why CGMiner may be the perfect Bitcoin mining software program for you. Firstly, CGMiner is compatible with a range of different hardware types, including ASIC miners and GPUs. While Bitcoin mining is mostly done using ASICs nowadays, it's always good to know there's also an option for GPU mining on CGMiner. CGMiner also supports a range of other coins for mining, such as Dogecoin, which can be mined using GPUs. This program also supports FPGAs.Though CGMiner is totally free to download, it isn't really suited to beginners. This is because, instead of a simple graphical interface, CGMiner uses a command line interface, which can be difficult to understand. However, CGMiner is open-source, allowing users to eliminate bugs, make tweaks, and have a more flexible experience overall. Download: CGMiner for Windows (Free) 2. EasyMiner Unlike CGMiner, EasyMiner is a great pick for those just starting out in the Bitcoin mining industry or those with limited technical knowledge. This is mainly because it uses a graphical interface which is generally much easier to navigate. Like CGMiner, EasyMiner is also open source, which gives the user more flexibility and increased security (as the community can tackle bugs and vulnerabilities quickly).EasyMiner supports Bitcoin and Litecoin mining and allows users to mine using CPUs, GPUs, and ASICs. You can even mine Bitcoin and Litecoin simultaneously using EasyMiner. It's also easy to view key statistics, such as your overall profits or hardware hash rate, on the EasyMiner interface. And, if you ever experience issues when using EasyMiner, you'll be able to find support from the community within the program's mining chat window. What's more, EasyMiner is totally free! You can use it for both solo and pool mining while also enjoying the added layer of security EasyMiner provides its users via its servers. Download: EasyMiner for Windows (Free) 3. Awesome Miner Awesome Miner is particularly useful for those with a larger mining operation or those wanting to mix and match their mining hardware. In fact, Awesome Miner is scalable to up to 200,000 ASICs and 25,000 CPUs or GPUs! Awesome Miner is entirely free and supports both Windows and Linux. However, macOS is not supported by Awesome Miner, though a web version is available for those not using a suitable operating system. This program also isn't ideal for beginners, as its interface can be a little overwhelming or intimidating. But Awesome Miner's interface is incredibly useful, displaying various key statistics such as hash rate, hardware temperature, and your overall earnings. You can also view all your connected mining devices on one screen, making it easy to keep track of your entire operation. Download: Awesome Miner for Windows (Free) 4. ECHOS ECOS is another great option for mining Bitcoin, especially if you're not massively experienced with technology. This is because the ECOS interface is easy to use. However, ECOS is different from the programs previously mentioned in that it is a cloud mining platform.ECOS offers cloud mining to those who don't have the hardware required to mine crypto directly. In this process, you sign up for a mining contract and pay a fee for remote miners to make a profit for you. The platform offers various mining contracts, the length of which you can alter to your liking. Using ECOS's cloud mining calculator, you can view your prospective profits based on the price of Bitcoin, the length of your contract, and how much power you want to use. Though ECOS is a reputable company, it's worth noting that cloud mining scams are rife in the crypto industry, so be wary of what you're signing up for. On top of this, ECOS also offers its users the ability to trade cryptocurrency via the ECOS exchange app. Download: ECOS for Android | iOS (Both Free) 5. BFG Miner BFG Miner is a great mining program for more experienced miners, as it uses a command-line interface, which can be tricky to navigate. BFG Miner is designed for both ASIC and FPGA mining and can even be used on a Raspberry Pi. But if you're looking to mine using GPUs, consider one of the other software programs listed here. Some of the best features offered by BFG Miner are its advanced clocking and high-end operations monitoring. It's also a great program for pool mining and supports Windows and Linux. You can even manage your mining hardware remotely using BFG Miner. And, like the other programs mentioned here, BFG Miner is free. Download: BFG Miner for Windows and Linux (Free) 6. MultiMiner MultiMiner is a po[CENSORED]r mining program that supports ASIC, GPU, and FPGA mining. Given that this program uses a more straightforward graphical user interface, it's a good option for those who don't have advanced technical knowledge or are just starting their Bitcoin mining venture. Though MultiMiner can be used on a variety of operating systems, it's geared toward Windows. You'll have to download additional software if you want to use MultiMiner on a device that uses Linux or macOS.MultiMiner also allows you to switch to other crypto mining options if the coin you're mining isn't making you enough profit. MultiMiner can automatically switch to the most profitable crypto to mine if you activate this feature. MultiMiner also offers users useful statistics, such as hash power or profit. On top of all this, MultiMiner is totally free to download and use. Download: MultiMiner for Windows, Linux, and macOS (Free) Start Your Bitcoin Mining Journey If you want to start your Bitcoin mining venture with software you can rely on, then consider one of the programs listed above. Whether you're a tech veteran, a novice, or a bit of an intermediate, one of these Bitcoin m programs may be perfect for you.
  13. Link The army can make such purchases by invoking its emergency financial powers to buy equipment worth ₹300 crore provided it can be inducted within a year to meet urgent requirements, said one of the officials cited above. From guns to missiles and drones to specialist vehicles, the army is looking at buying military hardware from the domestic defence industry through the emergency procurement route to boost its operational readiness, officials familiar with the matter said on Sunday. The army can make such purchases by invoking its emergency financial powers to buy equipment worth ₹300 crore provided it can be inducted within a year to meet urgent requirements, said one of the officials cited above. The equipment army is looking at acquiring includes guns, missiles, drones, counter-drone systems, loitering munition, communication and optical systems, specialist vehicles and engineering equipment. “The process will be based on compressed timelines, wherein the procurement window will be open to Indian Industry for six months, and the industry would be expected to deliver equipment within one year of signing the contract. Procurement cases will be based on open tender enquiry,” the Indian Army said on Twitter. It added that this was in keeping with its commitment to fight future wars with Indigenous solutions. The government has taken several steps to promote self-reliance in the defence sector in recent years, including banning the import of major weapons, platforms, sub-systems and components, creating a separate budget for buying military hardware from the local industry and earmarking research and development budget for the private industry and start-ups. The latest push by the army for emergency procurement comes at a time when India and China have been locked in a lingering border standoff in the Ladakh sector since May 2020. Despite four rounds of disengagement from Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso, Gogra (PP-17A) and Hot Springs (PP-15), the two armies still have around 60,000 troops each and advanced weaponry deployed in the Ladakh theatre. Even after 16 rounds of military talks held so far, problems at Depsang in the Daulet Beg Oldi sector and Charding Nullah Junction (CNJ) in the Demchok sector are still on the negotiating table.
  14. Link The Destiny 2 Arc 3.0 rework arrived in August alongside the newest update for the Bungie game, Destiny 2 Season of Plunder. The update followed on from similar overhauls to both the Void and Solar subclasses, revamping the three lightning-based options for the space game’s Titan, Hunter, and Warlock classes. However, players are concerned that the new Arc updates are lacking that special spark compared to the other elements – especially for the Warlock.A heavily upvoted thread on the Destiny subreddit addresses the issue, asking players to give “persistent, constructive, and non-toxic” feedback for Bungie to help push for buffs for the new Arc Warlock subclass, and Arc subclasses in general. Urging players to be friendly but firm in their feedback, the thread asserts that “Warlock just feels like junk” and that the two supers, Chaos Reach and Stormcaller, feel like the weakest of the current crop of super abilities. Many commenters say they feel that the low damage output of both in high-end content has made Warlock players reluctant to use the Arc subclasses.Another po[CENSORED]r comment adds, “I think all the Arc subclasses are going to struggle with high endgame viability because they don’t have endgame utility mechanics – stuff like slowing and freezing, invisibility/overshield and weakening, radant/ignitions and restoration.” These buffs and debuffs offered by the other elemental subclasses, they say, offer more potency than Arc can provide. While the commenter acknowledges the benefits of the Blind debuff, they point out that this can easily be applied with blinding grenade launchers, making the subclass feel somewhat redundant. Among the suggested buffs from the community are some additional utility for the Arc Blind debuff that goes above and beyond what is offered on normal blinding grenade launchers – one commenter proposes that it could affect bosses, mini-bosses, and champions, perhaps reducing accuracy rather than a full ‘stun’ effect. In addition, one po[CENSORED]r comment is to have the Jolted effect apply a damage reduction debuff to targets it hits, making them less dangerous to you and your teammates.“The most important failing of Arc 3.0,” suggests one user, “is that it gives zero survivability in a sandbox entirely balanced around the numerous survivability options we’ve had for a long time. Running Arc is only viable in difficult content if you have teammates on Solar and/or Void actively buffing you.” As someone who recently jumped back into Destiny 2 to explore the Season of Plunder, I’ve certainly had my fair share of fun with what Arc 3.0 brings to the table – but it’s tough to deny that you feel a lot more fragile than you do on either Void or Solar subclasses, even outside of the most challenging content Destiny 2 has to offer. Time will tell how Bungie will choose to approach this issue, but as the novelty of the new thing begins to wear off it will likely have to make some changes to keep players riding the lightning. If you’re exploring the newest season of one of the best FPS games, we have the best Destiny 2 Arc 3.0 builds to give you the best chance to try what the three subclasses have to offer. If you love to pound your foes into dust, we have the best Destiny 2 Titan builds. If you prefer to employ precision and stealth, we have the best Destiny 2 Hunter builds. If wizardry and mobility is your bag, here’s the best Destiny 2 Warlock builds. Meanwhile, we’ve got all the news on the upcoming Destiny 2 Lightfall expansion and a Destiny 2 King’s Fall raid guide to help get you stop Oryx in his tracks.
  15. Link Daily Telegraph reported that the British television network ITV had to issue an official statement denying the bypassing of the two television stars, Holly Willoughby and Philip Scofield, citizens who waited for hours in long lines, to take a farewell look at Queen Elizabeth II's well-settled coffin days ago in the Westminster Palace Hall. A large number of Britons and visitors gathered in long queues to bid farewell to the late Queen whose coffin settled in the Westminster Palace, until the national funeral is due tomorrow Monday. According to British media, the queues were so long that they once exceeded 5 kilometres, prompting the authorities to suspend waiting in the queues for some time. British celebrities arrived to greet the Queen's coffin and spent long hours waiting, including former football star David Beckham, who waited with his compatriots for about 13 hours before entering the hall. In her statement, ITV said that the presence of her two stars in the place was at the request of the network that produced a film about the Queen and her coffin and the visitors who came to bid farewell to her, confirming that they did not make any infraction and that the waiting exceeded the long lines. According to Dili Telegraph, the television network made sure to explain that Holly and Philip had a special VIP licence to enter the hall without having to wait in line, as they were media professionals. Many Britons expressed indignation at what the two highly po[CENSORED]r television stars had done and had already won several awards, and social media raiders confirmed that the two stars had to set an example and adhere to the values that they called on citizens every morning, to wait with the waiting people rather than have a special privilege to surpass them. In contrast, the British paid tribute to the eagerness of some stars - including Beckham - to stand in class for long hours with the Queen, and stated their farewell to the two ancestors. Daily Telegraph said that television stars Holly and Philip had been granted special access as media, but did not attend the place of journalists inside the hall, but were directed to a VIP place.
  16. Link [Trichl] has created a tiny GPS logger, called ‘TickTag’, designed as an inexpensive location tracking option for animal studies. The low cost, tiny form factor, and large power density of the LiPo battery give it the ability to track large po[CENSORED]tions of small animals, including dogs and bats. The TickTag is capable of getting 10,000 GPS fixes from its 30 mAh cell. Each unit is equipped with an L70B-M39 GPS module controlled by an Atmel ATtiny1626 microcontroller and sports a tiny AXE610124 10-pin connection header for programming and communication. GPS data is stored on a 128 kB EEPROM chip with each GPS location fix using 25 bits for latitude, 26 bits for longitude, and 29 bits for a timestamp. Add it all up and you get 10 bytes per GPS data point (25+26+29=80), giving the 10k GPS fix upper bound. To record higher quality data and extend battery life, the TickTag can be programmed to record GPS location data using variable frequency intervals or when geofencing bounds have been crossed. Since the device is so small, any errant signals close to the antenna can cause problems with receiving. [Trichl] warns that when mounting the device it should be placed well away from any other tags or conducting material, including its own battery, which is required to be mounted behind the tag, not under, to avoid drowning out the GPS signal. Getting data off of the TickTag requires physical access to the device which can be done via a companion “user interface board”. The interface board integrates charging logic and USB communication, among other functionality, reducing complexity in the TickTag module itself. The source code, Gerbers, design files, and 3D printable case are available on GitHub. Besides the documentation and source code, their paper in the Public Library of Science (PLOS ONE) journal is full of details, including the results of embedding a device on a canis lupus familiaris. Who knows, maybe the TickTag is even resilient enough to be used to track the catus domesticus.
