Barely started, the year is already full of uncertainties. Will we be re-confined, while the Coronavirus epidemic is not weakening? For the time being, it is impossible to say, while France has already escaped a third confinement last week. But until when ? This is now the question that all French people are asking themselves, while the winter holidays begin this weekend for zone A (Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrant, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers). It is impossible for most to book accommodation or to be able to organize themselves, as new restrictions can be announced at any time. A situation made even more difficult by the curfew at 6 p.m., now in effect across the country since mid-January. However, in this period for the less anxiety, these holidays are welcome, allowing to breathe after a year full of doubt and two confinements. But will it really be possible to travel, at least in France, during the coming weeks? The answer is yes, as stated by the Minister for Housing, Emmanuelle Wargon at the microphone of BFM . It emphasizes that no traffic restrictions, particularly between regions are on the program, and that " holidays can take place ". A small relief therefore for many French people, although the Minister wishes to recall that decisions can nevertheless be taken a little later, depending on the situation of the epidemic in the territory. A new defense councilshould indeed meet this Wednesday, February 3, in order to take stock and possibly decide on new more restrictive measures if the figures deteriorate too much. Nothing is played out for aspiring vacationers, who therefore remain in complete uncertainty, like the majority of French people. The Secretary of State for Tourism, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne nevertheless insisted that in the event of further confinement, " everyone will be able to return to their home ". The prospect of having to give up your vacation as soon as you get there shouldn't really be a hit with families. We remember that last March, the winter sports resorts had to close overnight, forcing all holidaymakers to leave the premises quickly. What forecasts on the roads? Anyway, and even if no new measure is decreed, many French people will stay at home during these holidays. And for good reason, the curfew at 6 p.m. , which cannot be bypassed, even for long journeys, as well as the closure of restaurants are all constraints that should largely mar the plans of holidaymakers. Not to mention the ski lifts ultimately still not having the right to open during this period. Unsurprisingly, Bison Futé is planning green everywhere in France this weekend, a situation that will continue until Friday, January 12, with orange in Île-de-France on the departures side. On Saturday January 13, all of the east will be orange in the direction of departures as well, as will Friday January 19. Finally, the whole of France will be tinted with this color on Saturday, January 20, only in the direction of departures once again. We are therefore far from forecasts for other years, when the roads in mountain regions were generally saturated on weekends. Hopefully the situation will return to normal soon ...

World Cancer Day 2021: According to the World Health Organization, India contributes to nearly 60% of head and neck cancer patients worldwide and this number is expected to double by 2030. These cancers affect men twice as much as compared to women. Head and neck cancer commonly refers to squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue, mouth, throat or voice box. It also includes cancers that arise in the nasal cavity, sinuses, lips, thyroid gland, and salivary glands. Oral cancers are the commonest sites involved in head and neck cancer. World Cancer Day: How can a person know if the cancer has spread? Most head and neck cancers can be detected through a biopsy, where a sample of the tissue is taken for closer examination once initial tests indicate abnormality in the tissue. In certain cases, the oncologist may recommend a specialised test to accurately detect and decide the best possible treatment. Post diagnosis, the patient undergoes an imaging test like a CT or MRI scan or a full body PET CT scan to determine the extent and spread of the cancer from its point of origin. When the diagnosis highlights a spread in the cancer, it is known as metastasis. Also read: Breast Cancer Risk: Should You Be Worried? Expert Explains How To Reduce Your Odds How can it be detected and is it treatable? The symptoms of head and neck cancers include a lump or a sore that does not heal, a persistent sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, and a change or hoarseness in the voice. These symptoms may also be caused by other, less serious conditions. Therefore, it is important to check with a doctor on experiencing any of these symptoms. The doctor can further recommend tests to arrive at a diagnosis. Seeking medical consultation provides an opportunity to undergo timely screening, especially for those at high risk of the disease. What kinds of treatments are available for this disease and are all equally effective? The treatment plan for the patient depends on several factors, including the exact location of the tumor, stage of the cancer, age and overall health. The best treatment results are achieved for patients in early stage of the disease. Treatment for head and neck cancer can include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy or a combination of treatments. However, surgery for head and neck cancers can be disfiguring and often changes the patient's ability to chew, swallow, or talk. Also read: Follow These 6 Steps To Reduce Your Risk Of Lung Cancer Are head and neck cancers related to lifestyle? What are some precautions people can take to prevent this disease? Tobacco consumption, both smoking and in chewable forms, along with alcohol are the main causes of these cancers. People who consume both tobacco and alcohol are at greater risk than people who consume only one of these. A significant and increasing proportion of oropharyngeal (tonsillar and base of tongue) cancers can be attributed to human papilloma virus (HPV). These can be prevented by adopting safe sexual practices. Patients who have been treated for head and neck cancers also have an increased chance of developing a new cancer, usually in the head, neck, esophagus, or lungs. Hence it is important to be under regular medical check-ups.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree banning the broadcast of three opposition news stations. The head of state claims that they are spreading Russian propaganda. The stations whose broadcasting in Kiev was stopped immediately are ZIK, NewsOne and 112. The ban provides for the withdrawal of broadcasting licenses and TV frequencies and the blocking of accounts for an initial period of five years, the presidential administration in Kiev was quoted as saying by Agerpres . Volodymyr Zelensky says the posts are a threat to national security and are spreading Russian propaganda. Television stations in Ukraine were considered a spokeswoman for the pro-Russian "Opposition Platform for Life" party. According to the latest opinion polls, this party, which has so far been the second strongest in Ukraine, could get the most votes in the parliamentary elections, the quoted source also writes. The presidential decree signed by Zelenski implemented a decision adopted by the National Security Council.

We have our first benchmark sighting for the highly-anticipated RTX 3060 mobile GPU from Nvidia. The GPU was spotted in a Gigabyte G5 running Geekbench 5's OpenCL benchmark. The RTX 3060 will be Nvidia's latest mid-range GPU for mobile devices. The GPU comes with a fully unlocked GA106 core with 3840 CUDA cores (yes, more than the desktop variant) and a combination of either 14Gbps or 12Gbps VRAM with 6GB of capacity (yes, potentially half the VRAM of the desktop card). The 3060's power consumption will vary significantly depending on the laptop model, with a configurable TDP of 60-115W depending on the OEM's design choices. In the Gigabyte G5, the RTX 3060 scored 93,263 points in the OpenCL benchmark. This equates to performance just below a desktop RTX 2070 Super and just above the RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. Yes, you read that correctly: RTX 2070 Super (Max-P) tends to outperform RTX 2080 Super Max-Q. That's why Nvidia's decision to obfuscate RTX 30-series mobile power levels even more annoying.

Riot's latest blogpost about Valorant reveals some of the lengths the developer is going to in order to combat cheaters. Even before the game was released, catching cheaters has been one of Riot's major priorities—not unreasonably, given how widespread cheating can be in competitive shooters. Most remarkably, for the online First Strike tournament, Riot reviewed every single player account because "we needed to know who every player was [...] We had to make the precedents and rules almost as we went, deciding what exactly constitutes a disqualification, and how we’d handle those." Matt 'K30' Paoletti is Riot's senior anti-cheat analyst, and reckons "we hit a decent mark, and have learned a ton for the next one." However, the logistics of a big tournament are one thing, and day-to-day matchmaking is a whole other kettle of smelly fish. Paoletti goes into some detail on what Riot intends to do in targeting players who cheat in matchmaking, and an amusing aspect of this is the man's utter disdain for his targets. The number of matches with a cheater is "a fraction of a percent", but Riot acknowledges that this is still too high, and that "cheaters at the highest ranks also put a stain on the prestige that comes with reaching such heights in a highly competitive game. We saw that some players also looked to bask in the ill-gotten gains of cheaters by teaming with them—knowing that the cheater would get banned after a few games, but they would get to reap the rewards." This type of behaviour, which can involve playing with a hack-based cheater or just a smurf account, is known colloquially as 'bussing', and Riot is instituting a 90-day penalty for players who participate in such activity, as well as looking into how to recalibrate ranks for the innocent players affected by the behaviour. Paoletti subsequently clarified that this will be targetting boosting services in a precise manner, so shouldn't affect 'innocent' players, though of course the proof will be in the pudding.

While we feared never to see it arrive here, the new Hyundai i20 N will finally make the trip to France. Today we start the day with good news. Of course, this shouldn't really disrupt your daily life, but it will be enough to make you smile. And for good reason, we learned from our colleagues at Caradisiac that the new Hyundai i20 N will finally be sold in France, while doubts hovered for several months on its marketing, or not. Blame it on overly restrictive European standards, but above all on the new CAFE regulations, imposing a maximum emission threshold on all manufacturers, under penalty of a heavy fine, to say the least dissuasive. And that's no joke, as Volkswagen proves, which will have to pay 140 million euros for being only half a gram above its targets, set at 99.3 g / km. None of this should happen to Hyundai, perfectly on target by posting average CO2 emissions for its entire range at 87 g / km, while its goal was not to exceed 96 g / km. Well done for the Korean firm, which can therefore afford a little pleasure. Because we can really say that the brand's efforts in terms of electrification have indeed borne fruit, allowing the average to be lowered enough to be able to market a car that is not really very virtuous. And it should continue in this direction in the years to come, as Hyundai prepares to launch a slew of other electrified models, whether with the Santa Fe and the Tucson , but also with its future Ioniq 5, which will inaugurate the brand new zero-emission division of the Asian brand. For now, no information has been given on the CO2 emissions of this new Hyundai i20 N, which should undoubtedly emit a little less than the 153 g / km of theKia ProCeed GT , with which it shares its engine. The penalty should then remain fairly reasonable, - well below the € 1,000 mark - and not deter potential customers. 204 horses for the Korean If no launch date in concessions has been communicated for the moment by the brand, the Hyundai i20 N should probably not be too late, while its official revelation dates back to October 2020. As a reminder, the city car sports car then takes under its hood a four-cylinder 1.6 liter T-GDI, developing no less than 204 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque, associated with a six-speed manual transmission. A configuration which suggests the best for this small bomber, which then achieves 0 to 100 km / h in 6.7 seconds, for a maximum speed of 230 km / h. In addition, and in addition to its look to die for, this Hyundai i20 N benefits from a ground clearance lowered by 10 millimeters and several driving modes to optimize its road behavior. Finally, its featherweight of only 1190 kilos suggests a certain agility, which we look forward to testing in a future test! It only remains to wait before knowing the release date of the car, rival of the Ford Fiesta ST and the new Toyota GR Yaris . This should then display a relatively reasonable price, starting around € 25,000.

New Delhi: The COVID pandemic came to us as a significant blow to mankind. According to the WHO (World Health Organization), the top three countries with the most confirmed cases in decreasing order of their numbers are the United States of America, India, and Brazil. Various sectors of the economy, such as food, finance, and entertainment suffered because of the pandemic. Apart from causing damage to the health of billions, it also ended up being a cause of disruption to the lifestyles of people. Despite the losses most of us suffered during the pandemic, there were several good things that we learnt and gained as well. Effect of COVID on the lifestyle Here are some effects of the pandemic on people's lifestyles: Physical inactivity: The outdoor activities came to a halt with the pandemic. This restricted people from carrying out activities that involved them in physical exhausting due to activities such as walking, cycling, or gymming. Furthermore, the people whose only time of locomotion included them going to work was also stopped due to the orders of working from home issued everywhere. Increased screen-time: Screen time was a part of people's leisure time before the pandemic began. With the lack of outdoor activities and initiation of work from home requirements, the screen-time of people increased significantly. Both work and leisure activities morphed into one screen-based activity. There was also a rise seen in activities such as gaming and OTT platform usage. The new normal: The use of masks, gloves, and hand sanitisers have been made compulsory in most places. Maintaining social distancing and personal and public hygiene has become the new normal. Redefining work: To avoid contraction of the virus due to physical human interaction, companies issued work from home orders for their employees. This required them to sit at home for long hours and get their work done. With little or no physical activity, it gave rise to issues such as weight gain, muscle cramps, and backaches. Mindfulness about physical and mental health: With the growing emphasis laid on the importance of a strong immune system, people because more conscious of their health. The pandemic also had adverse effects on the mental health of people. There was a growth seen in mindful eating habits, indoor exercising, and acknowledgement and empathy towards mental health. Bottom line All of us suffered enough during the pandemic. We fell but came back stronger. A bunch of us realized our hidden potential and learnt to appreciate life better. However, even after the pandemic ends, it must be our responsibility to make sure that we do not give up the good values and habits we inculcated over the period of the pandemic.

The new prefect of Cluj will be Tasnadi Szilard, from UDMR. He replaces Mircea Abrudean, who was close to reaching the position of Secretary General of the Government, writes Cluj24.ro . UDMR toughly negotiated this position, within a national political exchange: votes for positions. Political sources confirmed for Știri de Cluj that behind this appointment is Ludovic Orban, the president of PNL. Political analysts believe that the PNL is giving in too much to have supremacy over USR PLUS in parliament. Ludovic Orban consolidates his power before the liberal congress. Mircea Abrudean will serve as Deputy Secretary General of the Government. There is a possibility, following some political negotiations, that after three months Mircea Abrudean will hold the position of Secretary General of the Government within a political agreement that has already been discussed. It is certain that UDMR obtained the Prefecture of Cluj, but the target of those from the union was the Prefecture of Bihor, where there are high tensions.

The United States has called for the release of several arrested political leaders , including de facto head of government Aung San Suu Kyi, from the Myanmar army , and has threatened to react in the negative. Myanmar's army declared a one-year state of emergency on Monday. "The United States opposes any attempt to change the results of the recent elections or to obstruct a democratic transition in Myanmar and will take action against those responsible if these measures (arrests) are not abandoned," it said in a statement. White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki, according to AFP, was taken over by Agerpres . "We urge the military to adhere to democratic standards and the rule of law and to release those arrested today," she added. And Australia immediately demanded the release of the arrested political leaders. "We call on the military to uphold the rule of law, resolve disputes through legal mechanisms and immediately release all leaders (politicians) from civil society and other illegally detained people," said Foreign Minister Marise Payne. Myanmar's army declared a one-year state of emergency on Monday and appointed a general as interim president after the arrest of Aung San Suu Kyi, President Win Myint, other officials from the National League for Democracy (LND), and from other smaller parties, in a military raid organized before dawn.

The Grace Health Fresh Food Pharmacy in Battle Creek aims to help those dealing with certain chronic conditions improve by eating healthy foods. (WWMT/ File) Eat good, feel good! The Food Bank Council of Michigan teamed up with South Michigan Food Bank and Grace Health to address food insecurity and encourage healthy lifestyles with the launch of the Grace Health Fresh Food Pharmacy in Battle Creek. Made possible by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, this six-month pilot program “prescribes” home-delivered healthy food boxes for Grace Health patients every two weeks. In addition, the program offers healthy lifestyle coaching, check-ins, and support for cooking and eating healthy foods. "The idea is that when the medical team finds individuals that can benefit from eating healthier food we can provide the foods, recipes, and things to change their lifestyle to help with medical conditions," Peter Vogel, CEO of the South Michigan Food Bank, said. "Last year we distributed more than 14 and a half million pounds of food, now we are boxing more than 5,000 boxes of food every single day."

Despite the announced dissolution of Renault-Sport in favor of Alpine, Auto-Moto dreams of the return of an R5 Turbo. What are its chances of seeing the light of day? New R5 Turbo - Since the Losange has rekindled the flame of the “5” , by resuscitating the icon of the 70s and 80s through a nice showcar , we have been dreaming of the future variations that could result from it. Promised for production by 2024 , the city car will taste exclusively electricity, with the desire to position itself as a cheap vehicle . But why not take the cursor a step further by reinventing the R5 Turbo? Auto-Moto imagined it by making this exclusive illustration. From the outset, sorrowful spirits will retort that an electric car cannot decently afford to adopt the name Turbo . A legitimate observation that a manufacturer like Porsche has allowed itself to sweep away with the back of the hand by shaping its Taycan range. The 100% electric sedan from Zuffenhausen did not hesitate to baptize “Turbo” and “Turbo S” its most frenzied variants , even if it meant offending its most conservative customers. It is true that the approach has destabilized more than one when the sportswoman launched from across the Rhine. Turbo without turbine Therefore, Porsche having uninhibited this controversial subject, why should Renault not embark on the adventure by reviving the R5 Turbo , despite the exclusive electric powertrain that will animate it? For the time being, the question is certainly not on the agenda within Renault management, as it thwarts the brand's new strategy. Indeed, the former Régie intends to dissolve the Renault-Sport department in favor of Alpine. Alpine privileged Luca de Meo did not hide it by revealing the outlines of “ Renaulution ”, his new action plan . He wants the sporting positioning of the Dieppe firm to be used to “premiumize” the future Renault . To achieve this, their high-end finishes could potentially be badged "Alpine Line", replacing the RS Line variants , currently in the catalog. As for the real sports models, they could quite simply be branded “Alpine”, in the manner of a certain… Renault 5 Alpine which rages from 1976 to 1984. A legitimate hope What is certain is that the future Alpine city car will not be extrapolated from an R5 . The leaders of the Norman craftsman are categorical on this subject. Therefore, that would leave the field open to the return of an R5 Turbo, badged Renault , provided that Luca de Meo accepts the sprain made to his new strategy. This "fake" turbocharged model would then figure prominently to compete with future electric sports city cars of the Peugeot e-208 PSE or Abarth 500e type, which will soon be on the end of their grilles.

The coordinator of the national vaccination campaign against Covid-19, doctor Valeriu Gheorghiță, assured, at Digi24, that the vaccine doses are not discarded. He explained that there are almost daily situations in which they are not completely consumed, and can be used for immunization even in the next few days. At the same time, the doctor said why young people who do not have chronic diseases are vaccinated in the second stage of the strategy , a situation that the Minister of Health, Vlad Voiculescu, categorized as a state of affairs that he could not change when taking office. "It is a discussion that I debated a lot, before developing the strategy, with my colleagues. The strategy was developed on the basis of international recommendations from the WHO, the European Center for Disease Control and the US Centers for Disease Control. It is a model adopted in all countries. From the point of view of public health, it is equally important to vaccinate and protect young, active people, who are involved in maintaining the functioning of critical infrastructure, the economy, because, in addition to this role they have in society, they are the which spread the contact virus by the fact that they are generally employed and work in large urban agglomerations, where the incidence of Covid-19 disease is far higher than in rural areas. From this point of view, starting from this situation and epidemiological reality, starting from a concept of public health, it is important to protect staff, people at risk - namely the elderly and people with chronic diseases - from the individual risk of developing a severe form. . At the same time it is important to protect those who are active, those who can and really spread the virus, because they return home, in the family, where they have a grandfather, parents, loved ones with chronic diseases or people vulnerable. Ideally, I think there should be no prioritization, given that we had a number of doses available to cover everything we needed. The fact that we started from a weighted distribution, namely a percentage of 75% of the doses and of the places in the vaccination centers allocated for people at risk, respectively 25% of people serving essential activities, is a very fair percentage ", said, on Friday evening, Valeriu Gheorghiță, at Digi24.

While nothing has yet been officially said about it, the future Porsche Cayman GT4 RS is circulating on social networks without camouflage. But don't be too fooled by these images ... The Porsche Cayman GT4 isn't radical enough for you? That's good, because the Stuttgart brand is currently preparing us a nice little gift, even more radical. And for good reason, while nothing has yet been officially announced, the sportswoman could soon have a little sister, offering herself the RS suffix and coming to enrich the range in the months to come. If prototypes were already seen a few weeks ago, then wearing a thick black camouflage erasing their lines, a photographer imagined what the sportswoman could look like in her simplest device. In a series of images posted on Instagram, resembling authentic sphyshots and fooling many internet users, Jpog Photographiegave a pretty clear vision of what this new version could look like, making our mouth water. If sales should remain confidential, due to a price that is probably colossal and a penalty that will be just as much, its arrival is nevertheless more than happy, at a time when most of the new products take the form of SUVs.

Savills Australia has been engaged as the agent responsible for selling what has been described as Wollongong’s first “corporate-led CBD hotel”. The 241-room Andrew Burnes Architecture-designed lifestyle hotel will be spread across 13 levels and offer guest facilities including a number of food and beverage outlets, lounge options, fitness centre and mezzanine level. Tony Bargwanna, Leon Alaban, Nick Lower, Max Cooper and Selin Ince have been entrusted with the sale, located at 37-39 Burelli Street. The site is located close to local facilities and attractions including WIN Stadium, the Illawarra Art Gallery, beaches and numerous restaurants. “The developer has consulted with council for over six months and finalised the proposed scheme including several meetings with council’s General Manager, Planners and Design Review Panel to ensure required Design Excellence criteria is achieved. The DA with council is a compliant scheme and within all planning controls,” said Savills Australia National Director – Hotels, Tony Bargwanna. The development of a new lifestyle hotel in Wollongong was revealed exclusively by HM in late 2020, with Cre8tive Property’s Managing Director, Andrew Taylor, saying the project being developed by Held Property would have a “lifestyle positioning with strong corporate appeal”. He said final negotiations were underway to sign a Management Agreement “with a new lifestyle brand from overseas” and the project would be a huge boost to the region. “This is the first corporate-led CBD hotel for Wollongong, and along with the numerous A- grade office buildings under construction, it will signal that the city is transforming to a serious coastal rival to other Sydney corporate hubs like Parramatta,” Taylor said. “Wollongong also has numerous event venues that do not have rooms inventory, and which currently have to partner with hotels that have competing event spaces. “This hotel will give these venues the rooms inventory and this will increase the event business to the region,” he told HM.

Target store in Danvers, Mass. (AP Photo/Charles Krupa, FIle) Levi's has stitched up another partnership with Target, but this one isn't restricted to just denim. After a decadelong relationship with Target, Levi's is launching a limited-time, exclusive home and lifestyle collection at Target with more than 100 items from dishware to pet beds. It's the jean maker's first home collection collaboration, and most of the products will be priced below $25. The collection will be available in stores and online starting Sunday while supplies last. Target has built a reputation for its limited-edition collections. "Strategic partnerships like our work with Levi's have long been a key part of Target's success, allowing us to offer our guests the very best national brands alongside our incredible assortment of owned brands," said Jill Sando, chief merchandising officer of style and owned brands for Target, in a statement. "Through this partnership, we're able to offer a collection of items guests can't find anywhere else, with pieces that exemplify the values and design prowess of both the Target and Levi's brands." A focus of the collection was to include products that were designed to be more durable, with some made using recycled glass or earning sustainability certifications such as Forest Stewardship Council certification that shows wood products came from responsibly managed forests. Target has sold Levi's clothes for years. In 2019, Levi's, which had not traditionally sold its core products in big-box stores, started selling its Red Tab label in select Target stores and online. By this fall, it will expand its Red Tab label collection to 500 Target stores. "We're thrilled to be introducing our one-of-a-kind home collection with Target," said Karyn Hillman, chief product officer at Levi's. "We immediately connected on our mutual passion for purposeful and timeless design, with sustainability and quality at the core of everything we do." Levi's doubling down on its partnership with Target makes business sense for the San Francisco brand. The department stores where Levi's has traditionally sold its jeans have struggled — especially during the pandemic — to maintain foot traffic. In its third quarter that ended in August, Levi's reported its revenue declined 27%, primarily due to impacts of the pandemic including reduced foot traffic and ongoing closures of its own stores and third-party retail locations. Target has built a reputation for its limited-edition partnerships, pairing with brands from Vineyard Vines and Lilly Pulitzer to Michael Graves. Target has continued to be more deliberate with its brand partnerships, launching mini-stores in its retail locations for Disney and recently announcing it will do something similar with Ulta Beauty.

Bill Gates believes that the world must prepare for the next pandemic as it would prepare for war. In a letter published on his blog , which he signs with his wife Melinda, he writes that investments of tens of billions of dollars are needed every year and proposes the creation of a global alert system, which will immediately warn of the appearance a new dangerous virus to keep it out of control. "We cannot afford to be caught off guard again. The threat of the next pandemic will always remain above our heads - unless the world takes action to prevent it, "wrote the billionaire philanthropist , according to Mediafax . To avoid the ravages of Covid-19, "preparation for the next pandemic must be taken as seriously as the threat of war." "Stopping the next pandemic will require tens of billions of dollars in investment each year, but remember that the cost of the Covid-19 pandemic worldwide is estimated at $ 28 trillion. The world needs to spend billions to save trillions and prevent millions of deaths. I think it is the best, most profitable insurance policy that the world can afford ", writes Bill Gates. According to Bil Gates , "most of the investment must come from rich countries, because their governments have the most to gain." In addition to the scientific investments that should make it possible to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic and others in the future (diagnoses, vaccines, treatments, etc.), Bill Gates also calls for the establishment of a "global alert system, which we do not have today. large scale ”, in order to be able to detect epidemics as soon as possible. The billionaire, who has already sounded the alarm about the dangers of pandemics, especially at a famous TED conference in 2015, also supports the creation of a rapid reaction force for infectious diseases, the "pandemic firefighters" who would be in constant alert to respond to a potential health crisis. Bill Gates estimates that about 3,000 such professionals would be needed worldwide.

Four years after its launch, the BMW M5 completes its range with a new CS version, which gains around ten horsepower, among the many improvements. This is the end of a suspense that had lasted for several weeks already. After a cleverly orchestrated teasing campaign by the Bavarian brand, the BMW M5 CS is finally unveiled, allowing the family sports car to have a new string to its bow. After the standard version, launched in 2017 and supported by the Competition version, which arrived in 2018, here is the most radical variant, which therefore comes to cap a now complete range. The one whose name means Competition Sport is distinguished above all aesthetically, by a brand new aerodynamic kit ranging from plastic and carbon fiber, leaving the material visible for an even sportier style, while allowing the sportswoman to lower her weight by 70 kilos. Note also the golden grille outline, a treatment that is also found on the 20-inch forged rims and on the logos, bringing a touch of exclusivity to the whole. Inside, sportiness is the order of the day, with carbon bucket seats covered in leather, while the outline of the legendary Nürburgring north loop is embroidered on the headrest. Finally, the red stitching completes the set, as do the carbon fiber inserts. Finally, the red stitching completes the set, as do the carbon fiber inserts. Everything for efficiency But what will interest us above all is above all what is hidden under the hood of this BMW M5 CS, which unsurprisingly takes over the 4.4-liter V8 from the Competition version, but whose power this time was increased to 635 horsepower, which can be sent to the rear or to the four wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic M gearbox . The result is a 0 to 100 km / h which can then be shot in just 3.0 seconds, for a maximum posted speed of 305 km / h. Taking advantage of the chassis of the M5 Competition, this CS version offers an even more efficient temperament, without denying comfort thanks to the use of the shock absorbers of the BMW M8 Gran Coupé. In addition, the family sports car, which can accommodate up to five people on board, also benefits from a specific exhaust system, the sound of which varies depending on the driving mode chosen. It is also possible to lower the noise level to the maximum via a button, a function particularly useful when you are driving in a residential area. Finally, fans of track trips will be delighted to learn that carbon ceramic brakes are standard equipment, weighing 23 kilograms less than the M5 Competition system, while offering better efficiency. The production of this new BMW M5 CS will begin during the next spring, with deliveries planned in stride. It will then be necessary to provide a unit entry ticket of € 199,000 for the sportswoman, to which a penalty of € 30,000 must be added ... The key factor in preventing non-communicable diseases is lifestyle management at the individual level with a focus on such innovations, which can help increase the awareness of risk factors management in society, claim an international team of researchers.(ANI) HEALTH To ward off cancer, other diseases we need to change lifestyle, by innovation The key factor in preventing non-communicable diseases is lifestyle management at the individual level with a focus on such innovations, which can help increase the awareness of risk factors management in society, claim an international team of researchers. YEARS PUBLISHED ON JAN 27, 2021 10:46 AM The key factor in preventing non-communicable diseases is lifestyle management at the individual level with a focus on such innovations, which can help increase the awareness of risk factors management in society, claim an international team of researchers. The study was led by scientists from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania. According to them, the management of cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases require many strategies from several perspectives and on different levels. Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), also known as chronic diseases, are medical conditions that are associated with long duration and slow progress. Most NCDs are non-infectious and are the result of several factors, including genetic, physiological, behavioural, and environmental. According to the World Health Organization, NCDs are the leading cause of death worldwide, responsible for 71 per cent of the total number of deaths each year. The top four killers among NCDs are cardiovascular diseases (17.9 million deaths annually), cancers (9 million), respiratory diseases (3.9 million), and diabetes (1.6 million). Although lifestyle factors, such as physical activity, nutrition habits, tobacco and alcohol consumption have been linked to the development of certain medical conditions for a long time, with this study the researchers attempt to draw the attention of policy-makers and medical professionals towards the complex nature of the problem and its possible solutions. "It is important to combine modern scientific achievements and innovative decisions, concerning the rationality of nutrition and positive effects on human health. Governments and international organisations should make people aware of their health and their environment to make the world a safe and healthy place", states Dr Rimantas Kodzius, Head of the research group behind the study, Professor at Panevezys Faculty of Technology and Business, KTU. According to him, the support of research to find new techniques to improve food biotechnology or to develop rapid and sensitive diagnostic platforms to detect NCDs is crucial. The scientists claim that in order to successfully address the growing crisis of non-communicable diseases, the innovation, focusing on the promotion of healthy eating behaviour, lifestyle change and cessation of smoking is crucial. The management of NCD's requires many strategies from several perspectives on individual and country levels. According to various data, there are modifiable (i.e. high blood pressure, smoking, physical inactivity, obesity) and non-modifiable (such as age, gender, genetic factors) risk factors that contribute to the development of NCDs. However, although one cannot change their age or gender, there are modifying factors in the cultural or social environment of every person. Therefore, risk factor management is essential in preventing NCDs', researchers claim. "In the past, infectious and parasitic diseases were the main causes of death, but in recent decades, NCDs have replaced them. Moreover, with the spreading of western lifestyle in low and middle-income countries, due to global po[CENSORED]tion ageing and commercial pressures for unhealthy diets, non-commutable diseases are becoming prevalent across all economic contexts", says Dr Aida Budreviciute, the first author of the study. According to researchers, the main factors of illnesses are medications, blood pressure, lipids, glucose, viruses, obesity, stress. Various dietary factors, such as eating meat, sugar-sweetened beverage consumption, and iron-based diets or, on the other hand, using whole grain, natural, high-fibre products have been linked to the development of NCDs. Moreover, researchers claim that the effects of the global Covid-19 pandemic on the development of NCD's can be devastating as people during lockdown and self-isolation tend to eat more and exercise less. In the future, when the battle with Covid-19 is won, the health system may be overwhelmed with the many occurrences of NCDs, say the team of researchers.

The launch of the News Showcase as early as next month is the latest tactic by the tech giant that has launched a high-level campaign against legislation planned by the Australian government to make it pay local news providers for content that appears in its search engine. Misha Ketchell, editor of The Conversation, said Wednesday that it had been approached by Google "to resume talks about launching the News Showcase product as soon as possible, in February. We are working with them on this, " Reuters reports . Google announced plans to launch News Showcase in Australia in June last year, signing agreements with seven local publishers, including The Conversation, for content. Subsequently, the launch was delayed amid discussions on regulatory conditions. The decision to continue with the launch was apparent evidence of Google's willingness to conduct its own content offerings, denying the need for government-mandated legislation. An Alphabet Inc. spokesman declined to comment. "If Google can demonstrate that it can reach an agreement with some publishers, then its purpose is to show that business arrangements can be made without legislative intervention , " said Derek Wilding, a professor at the Center for Technology University in Sydney. Mel Silva, Google Australia's chief executive, said in a parliamentary session last week that he would remove the pilot search tool from Australia if the laws, the first of its kind in the world, were implemented. In a post on his local site, Silva says that Google opposes payment for displaying links to articles, not for publishing news. "Right now, no website or search engine pays to connect people to other sites through links ," Silva said in the undated post. "The law would change that, making Google pay to provide links for the first time in our history" .
