  1. Last year's fantastic dinosaur series 'Prehistoric Planet' was a great portal into the world of dinosaurs, and now Apple has announced that season 2 is on the way. Here's how to watch "Prehistoric Planet," plus a complete overview of its contents and the talent behind the massive project and everything we know about season 2. "Prehistoric Planet" comes to us from "The Mandalorian" honcho Jon Favreau and the producers of the acclaimed documentary series "Planet Earth" and takes viewers back 66 million years into the past, shortly before the extinction of the non-avian dinosaurs. The makers of the live-action-CG odyssey aimed to evade a number of wrong and outdated ideas about dinosaurs that have been introduced by po[CENSORED]r culture over the decades, so many of the species included in "Prehistoric Planet" might not look exactly as you'd think. The series portrays the extinct creatures moving and behaving with an unparalleled level of realism, never before seen in movies or television, and using the cutting-edge tech that Favreau used for his 2019 remake of Disney's "The Lion King" and more. It's all about creating a computer-generated illusion of live-action footage, something that BBC's "Walking with Dinosaurs" already tried back in 1999 (and later with spinoffs). As it stands, "Prehistoric Planet" runs for five episodes, and that should be it. It's already been a huge success though, and with Apple TV+ looking to expand its library of content, we wouldn't be surprised to see a second season happen in the future. Season 2 will also contain five episodes and features both new and returning dinosaurs. If that sounds like your kind of show, read on below to find out how to watch "Prehistoric Planet" and learn more about the show's Cretaceous setting. "Prehistoric Planet" is exclusively streaming on Apple TV+ and started airing on May 23, 2022. It was marketed as a special five-night event, so the four following episodes debuted on May 24, May 25, May 26 and May 27, respectively. The entirety of "Prehistoric Planet’s" first (and currently sole) season is available to stream now. Each episode runs for around 40 minutes. https://www.livescience.com/how-to-watch-prehistoric-planet#section-where-to-stream-prehistoric-planet
  2. Tesla has cancelled the right-hand-drive Model S saloon and Model X SUV due to the mechanical and logistical complexity added by the conversion, Autocar can confirm. A representative for the American manufacturer told Autocar that offering the two models solely as left-hookers for the foreseeable future allows it to ramp up production and improve quality more effectively. Current reservation orders in the UK can purchase a left-hand-drive car from existing inventory or receive Β£2000 (€2000 in Ireland) in credit towards a Tesla Model 3 or Model Y. They can also cancel their order. In addition, Tesla has launched events running between 28 May and 30 June so that Model S and X reservation holders can test drive the left-hookers in London. The move to offering LHD cars here means UK customers can finally place an order for the 1019bhp Plaid models, having previously been limited to the standard dual-motor cars since their 2021 reveal. At the time of writing, the examples of the Model S Plaid in stock in the UK are priced from Β£114,930 and the X Plaid from Β£124,780. Tesla has yet to fully scale production of the updated Model S and Model X, as it has for their smaller siblings. Last year, the firm built 1,298,434 Model 3s and Ys, compared with just 71,177 examples of the S and X. During the first quarter of 2023, Tesla built 421,371 Model 3s and Ys, and 19,437 Model Ss and Xs. https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/tesla-cancels-right-hand-drive-model-s-and-model-x
  3. There is a "good chance" that West Ham captain Declan Rice will leave at the end of the season, manager David Moyes has admitted. The midfielder's contract is set to expire in 2024, although the Hammers have an option to extend that by a further year. So far, Rice, 24, has rejected all efforts to get him to sign an extension amid interest from virtually all of England's top clubs. "We hope Dec stays," Moyes said. "We would love him to be a West Ham player but we are aware that might not be the case. That is one of the scenarios. "Our plans are to have Dec here but we are also fully aware there is a good chance that we won't have him." 'A world star who has outgrown West Ham' England international Rice came through the youth system at West Ham and has 243 appearances in all competitions since 2017. He has been a virtual ever-present for the Hammers this season. Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs to have been linked with Rice. "Everybody would love to have Declan Rice," former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves said on BT Sport during their coverage of Thursday's Europa Conference League semi-final first-leg win over AZ Alkmaar. "He's playing with a little bit of swagger about him now. He sometimes kept it simple and safe but now it feels like Declan realises he can do anything on a football pitch. He doesn't have a weakness in his game. "He would start in every Premier League team apart from Manchester City because Rodri is one of the best in the world. That is his position, he's not going to be a number 10 or eight. He can be one of the best in the world as a defensive midfielder." Former West Ham winger Joe Cole believes Rice would walk into any team in Europe. "He's outstanding," he said. "Everything good that West Ham do goes through him. He's added things to his game this year. He was adding goals to his game and he can just do everything. "He keeps getting better. Any team in Europe would have him in their team." Former Brighton striker Glenn Murray believes Rice should be playing in the Champions League. "At this stage of his career, Declan Rice has almost, for want of a better word, outgrown the football club," he said on BBC Radio 5 Live. "I think he should be playing in Champions League games and for a top six club. He is a world star, and I think his star will only continue to grow and to shine." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football

Many of these new smartwatches are also capable of working as standalone devices when the need arises. Manufacturers have constantly innovated to bring new features to these smartwatches and they have also gained new health and activity tracking features. With so many smartwatches in the market, which one should you pick? In this guide, we help you pick the best smartwatch to suit your needs. Best smartwatches in India Smartwatches in IndiaGadgets 360 rating (out of 10)Price in India (as recommended) Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 28Rs. 11,990 Oppo Watch7Rs. 14,990 Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic8Rs. 34,999 Apple Watch SE8Rs. 29,900 Apple Watch Series 79Rs. 41,900 Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is among the most affordable smartwatches on this list. It was launched at a starting price of Rs. 26,990, but has gradually dropped down to a reasonable Rs. 11,990 making it accessible to a wider audience. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 comes in one dial size only, and there are GPS-only as well as LTE-enabled variants. The cases are made out of aluminum or stainless steel depending on the model you choose. Samsung has used a dual-core Exynos 9110 SoC to power the Galaxy Watch Active 2. It has 1.5GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It runs Samsung's TizenOS which separates it from some of the other smartwatches on this list. TizenOS has limited support for third-party apps but you get most of the functionality you'd need out of the box. Since the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 was originally launched a few years ago, it does not have any blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking capability. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 can track activities quite well. It also offers good battery life but charging speed isn't impressive. https://www.gadgets360.com/wearables/guide/best-smartwatches-in-india-apple-watch-wearos-samsung-blood-oxygen-heart-rate-ecg-2615731
  7. Introduction The OnePlus Pad is the company's first tablet in the nine years it has been around. It is identical to the Oppo Pad 2, with which it shares everything but the name. The OnePlus Pad is an interestingly priced and specced device. At $479, it sits in a segment that is largely devoid of significant competition, with most Android tablets being cheaper and the good iPads being more expensive. It is a semi-premium device with a curious assortment of choices that make up its spec sheet. The thing that should garner the most attention is likely to be the display, which boasts a unique 7:5 aspect ratio and 144Hz refresh rate. Yet, the display uses a standard LCD panel. Similarly, you get features like Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos along with 67W fast charging but there's no cellular connectivity and the chipset is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000. As you can tell, there is a bit of give and take happening here and eventually, it will come down to what you value the most in your tablet. Here's a full list of features and specifications found on the OnePlus Pad. OnePlus Pad specs at a glance: Body: 258.0x189.4x6.5mm, 552g; Glass front, aluminum frame; Stylus support. Display: 11.61" IPS LCD, 1B colors, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, 144Hz, 500 nits (typ), 2000x2800px resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, 296ppi. 10. This is a classic example of a big, bold campaigning promise colliding with reality. When Rishi Sunak was running to be Conservative leader last summer, he put out a video. In it, inside what is called the 'Brexit Delivery Department,' vast bundles of paper representing EU laws thud down on a desk, and then a shredder is wheeled into the room. And yes, you guessed it, those A4 pages encounter oblivion, one after another, as they are fed in. "Keep Brexit safe," the video concludes. "Vote Rishi Sunak today." Well, not enough people did, from his perspective, but he became prime minister in the end nonetheless - and now that video has collided with reality. It turns out trying to feed too much stuff into a shredder, too quickly, runs the risk of not being able to read it all before it encounters the metal gnashers and is torn to smithereens. PM broke his word over Brexit laws, says Rees-Mogg What is happening to EU laws now? The government ditching its plan to automatically cull thousands of EU-era laws at the end of this year has had the whiff of inevitability about it for some time. For months, a myriad of groups have raised concerns about the unintended consequences of laws disappearing by default. But plenty of Tory MPs are grumpy about this, seeing it as a straight forward failure to deliver from the prime minister. One told me many felt the government was acting in "bad faith" and they didn't buy the argument that this was an impossible deadline. Around 20 Conservative MPs went to see the chief whip Simon Hart to register their irritation. Some Tory MPs went into Downing Street to do the same. "There was an arms race in last summer's leadership race, where Liz and Rishi found themselves out Brexiting each other. That's where all this started," one senior figure told me. Ministers claim they are now being pragmatic. They say they are still "taking back control", as the Brexit campaign slogan put it, but are doing so at a more sensible pace. "Kemi [Badenoch] approaches Brexit not as an end in itself, but as a means to an end," one ally said of the business and trade secretary. She happened to inherit all this because it had been a responsibility of Jacob Rees-Mogg, who was briefly Business Secretary under Liz Truss. Mr Rees-Mogg is now the most outspoken public critic of Mrs Badenoch's plan. Ministers are promising to get rid of another 600 laws by the end of the year - we'll find out which ones next week. They claim around 1,500 others have either already gone, have been reformed, or that they soon will be. But that still leaves a couple of thousand not yet looked at. The old saying goes that politicians campaign in poetry and govern in prose. In this instance, we've gone from a brash campaign video last August to a government ministerial statement nine months later. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-65553658

  12. MG, the British sports car marque acquired by Chinese owner SAIC soon after Longbridge-based MG Rover collapsed in 2005, has taken a giant step towards reconnecting the marque with its century-old roots by staging a London unveiling for its Cyberster fully electric sports roadster, due in showrooms next summer. The car, launched as a near-production concept last month at the Shanghai motor show, is the first all-new sports roadster to carry the iconic octagonal MG badge since the MG F in 1995. MG claims it will be the world’s first β€œaffordable” EV roadster, dramatically undercutting existing electric performance cars with a two-model structure likely to begin around Β£55,000 for a rear-wheel-drive 309bhp version and stretching to around Β£65,000 for a four-wheel-drive, twin-motor version with 536bhp. Although the car was originally planned as a replacement for the MG TF (a developed version of the MG F), the need to carry a large traction battery and the consequent requirement for a long wheelbase has made the Cyberster closer in its major dimensions to the 4.4m-long BMW Z4 than its 3.96m mid-engined predecessor. Little has been confirmed about the Cyberster’s mechanical layout ahead of its official Goodwood Festival of Speed launch, but the lighter single-motor model is understood to tip the scales at around 1850kg – 750kg more than the MG TF. The twin-motor model is expected to add 135kg. The new EV roadster, which for the time being will be built only as an open-two-seater with an electric-powered folding roof, has a wide and spacious cabin, helped by the lack of engine in the nose. The batteries are located in the chassis on a 'skateboard' principle. Like the Cyberster’s exterior, the interior designs have their roots in MG’s London-based advanced studio. The plush fascia and instrumentation take influence from contemporary gaming trends and scissor doors provide what designers call β€œa sense of theatre”. MG design director Carl Gotham, leader of the brand’s 20-strong advanced design group based in London’s Marylebone, acknowledges the size growth but believes the car wears it well, β€œcreating a completely new kind of roadster ready for a new generation of sports car drivers”. He cites the Cyberster’s main aim as being to lead the design style of future MG models. MG will continue its concentration on SUV and estates, but this will not be its only sports car. MG UK commercial director Guy Pigounakis says the company has already been β€œinundated” with requests from potential buyers and says MG’s British dealers (soon to number around 150) are equally enthusiastic. Chasing volume is not the Cyberster’s main function, he insists. It will primarily be an image-builder though he β€œcould imagine” UK volumes around 2000 units a year when demand settles. Pigounakis cites great value for money and excellent new car distribution as important elements in MG’s success but reckons brand recognition is a β€œcritical” part. And response to the cars from older buyers is β€œabsolutely phenomenal”. He said: β€œIt’s clear there’s a large and active group of buyers who remember the excitement and the promise of the MG name and have a huge amount of affection for it.” MG’s UK sales have been booming for years, and in 2022 it exceeded 51,000 units, more than five times their level five years ago. Recent growth for MG across Europe has been even more spectacular: sales were below 1000 units in 2019, yet they are expected to hit 120,000 by the end of 2023. Q&A with Carl Gotham, MG's head of design Carl Gotham trained in design at Coventry University in 1999, joined MG a decade later and worked in both interior and exterior design before being appointed to his present position in 2017, and setting up the Marylebone advanced studio in 2018. Its work, he says, has β€œall been building up to this.” https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/official-2024-mg-cyberster-rivals-bmw-z4-Β£55000
  13. For one team, it was a nightmare start. After weeks of hype about the first Milan derby in the Champions League since 2005, AC Milan trailed 2-0 inside 11 minutes. This had not been the plan. Before kick-off, the 'home' supporters - both legs will be played at San Siro - unfurled a giant display of a devil's face, along with the words: "Hell is empty, all the devils are here!" But it was quickly heaven for Inter fans, thanks to goals for Edin Dezko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. "Everything that could have gone wrong for Milan has done," said former AC Milan goalkeeper Asmir Begovic at half-time. "It is an absolute disaster and one in their wildest dreams they could not have imagined." Former England and Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard said on BT Sport: "That performance from AC Milan is so far away from semi-final level at this Champions League, it was frightening." However, after a host of missed Inter Milan chances and a controversial video assistant referee decision, have AC Milan been handed a lifeline they didn't deserve? Long read: 'Something like a war' - Inter & AC Milan's 2005 quarter-final battle San Siro: What next for AC Milan and Inter's stadium? 'AC Milan had stage fright' A Milan derby is always a memorable occasion but one in a European competition is something to savour. Only twice before Wednesday's Champions League semi-final first leg had AC Milan faced their fierce city rivals Inter on the continental stage and both sets of supporters were determined to make the most of it. AC Milan, the designated home team at the San Siro stadium the two sides share, had by far the greater number of fans inside. A wall of noise, red smoke flares and large banners made for an intimidating atmosphere. But it was the away side who came out swinging. After racing into a two-goal lead, they also hit the woodwork through Hakan Calhanoglu as AC Milan were left exposed time and time again. Inter even had a first-half penalty awarded to them for a foul on Lautaro Martinez before the decision was controversially overturned following a VAR review. Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi said: "We played a brilliant first half, but it's a tight scoreline for what we did out there. "It's a hugely positive night which gives us a lot of satisfaction but we're missing one more piece to attain a dream that we believed in since August." Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch said on BT Sport: "I found it bizarre for AC Milan to be so passive. Inter could have been out of sight. The best thing to come out of tonight's performance for AC Milan is it's only 2-0. Defensively they were all over the place." Ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand added: "Inter came out like a bunch of sprinters at the Olympics and AC Milan had stage fright." 'He threw himself down' The big decision came in the 31st minute. Inter were awarded a penalty as Martinez went down inside the box following a Simon Kjaer challenge. But when referee Jesus Gil Manzano was urged to check the pitchside monitor by VAR, the decision was overturned. Manzano did not feel there was enough contact from Kjaer, who had grabbed Martinez's shirt before he went down. "He absolutely tried to con the referee. He felt a hand on his waist and threw himself down," said BBC Radio 5 Live pundit and former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin. "I am delighted the referee changed his mind." But others were not so sure. "I think there is contact so I am surprised they overturned it," former Manchester United and Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves told BT Sport. "It is a penalty. He gets clipped and had an arm around him. If he feels something, he is going to go down. "Inter Milan were brilliant but with the penalty and missed chances, there will also be big regrets." Gerrard added: "I think he kills himself by the reaction. I think technically the penalty should have stood. The ref looks and thinks the contact is not enough for the reaction. He goes to the screen and sees it is minimal contact." 'A world-class striker' Inzaghi put his faith in experience and it paid off as 37-year-old Dzeko got the opener after eight minutes before 34-year-old Mkhitaryan got the second. It was the first time two players aged 34 or above have scored for a team in a Champions League knockout match. "Dzeko is a world-class player," said Begovic, who played alongside Dzeko for Bosnia-Herzegovina. "It is no surprise to me he is doing this, having known him for 15 years. He has hold-up play, technique, maybe lacking a bit of pace. "He is dedicated to the game, disciplined, looks after himself immaculately. He leads the front line perfectly." Only one team in Champions League semi-final history have won the first leg by two or more goals and not reached the final - Barcelona, who lost a 3-0 lead against Liverpool in 2018-19. But, despite the two-goal advantage, Inter know their place in a first Champions League final since 2010 is not booked yet. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/65553144
  14. Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky has said his country needs more time to launch a much-anticipated counter-offensive against Russian forces, as the military awaits the delivery of promised aid. The expected attack could be decisive in the war, redrawing frontlines that, for months, have remained unchanged. It will also be a crucial test for Ukraine, eager to prove that the weapons and equipment it has received from the West can result in significant battlefield gains. Speaking at his headquarters in Kyiv, President Zelensky described combat brigades, some of which were trained by Nato countries, as being "ready" but said the army still needed "some things", including armoured vehicles that were "arriving in batches". "With [what we already have] we can go forward, and, I think, be successful," he said in an interview for public service broadcasters who are members of Eurovision News, like the BBC. "But we'd lose a lot of people. I think that's unacceptable. So we need to wait. We still need a bit more time." When and where the Ukrainian push will happen is a secret. Russian forces, meanwhile, have fortified their defences along a frontline that runs for 900 miles (1,450km) from the eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk, to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson in the south. Ukrainian authorities have tried to lower expectations of a breakthrough, publicly and in private. Earlier this month, a senior government official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the country's leaders "understood that [they] needed to be successful" but that the assault should not be seen as a "silver bullet" in a war now in its 15th month. More on the War in Ukraine Defending the last Ukrainian streets in Bakhmut Russia accused of dropping phosphorus bombs What do we know about drone attacks in Russia? The president, however, expressed confidence that the Ukrainian military could advance, warning of the risks of a "frozen conflict" which, he said, was what Russia was "counting on". For Kyiv, any result that is seen as disappointing in the West could mean a reduction in military support and pressure to negotiate with Russia. With nearly a fifth of the country under Russian control, and President Vladimir Putin declaring the annexation of four regions his forces partially occupy, this would possibly include discussing land concessions. "Everyone will have an idea," President Zelensky said. "[But] they can't pressure Ukraine into surrendering territories. Why should any country of the world give Putin its territory?" Mr Zelensky dismissed fears about losing US support if President Joe Biden, who has vowed to support Ukraine as long as it takes, is not re-elected in 2024. Ukraine, he said, still enjoyed bipartisan support in the US Congress. "Who knows where we'll be [when the election happens]?" he said. "I believe we'll win by then." For now, there is no real possibility of talks to end the conflict, as both sides say they will fight until victory. President Zelensky has offered a 10-point peace proposal, calling for the return of all invaded territory, reparation payments for war-related damages and the creation of a special tribunal to prosecute Russian war crimes, a plan that Moscow has flatly rejected. Western sanctions, the president said, were having an impact on Russia's defence industry, mentioning depleted missiles stockpiles and shortages of artillery. "They still have a lot in their warehouses but… we already see that they've reduced shelling per day in some areas." Moscow, however, had found ways to bypass some of the measures, he said, and he urged countries to target those helping Russia circumvent the bans. Mr Zelensky again rejected the Russian accusation that Ukraine was behind an alleged drone attack on the Kremlin last week, which was described by Moscow as an attempt to assassinate President Putin. The Ukrainian leader said he believed the apparent attack could have been a false flag operation, carried out by Russia itself, and that the claim was being used as an "excuse" by Moscow to attack his country. "They constantly look for something to sound like a justification, saying: 'You do this to us, so we do that to you,'" President Zelensky said. "But it didn't work. Even for their domestic public, it didn't work. Even their own propagandists didn't believe that. Because it looked very, very artificial." The president spoke as the Eurovision song contest was being held in the English city of Liverpool, which was chosen as a host on behalf of Ukraine, the winner of last year's event. He said he would have preferred to see the competition in a neighbouring country "to where our people could travel to and be very close" but that he had "lots of respect" for Britain, an "amazing country". "The main thing is that the contest is taking place," he said. "Let the people show their talent." 17. On the surface, it might sound quite fancy that some apps promise to sell you a good night's sleep and charge you money for it. But certain free apps have been doing the same thing, and from user experiences, quite successfully so. These are the apps that fall under the category of sleep-trackers. They track the pattern of your sleep, provide you with agencies to improve your sleep quality, guide you into a smooth awakening experience in the morning and even teach you a thing or two about how to improve your sleep. We tested some of the po[CENSORED]r sleep-tracking apps and handpicked the best one in the market for you. These apps aren't a replacement for a medical sleep study, but they'll help you to identify trends in your sleep patterns and decide whether you should consult an expert. How we chose the best sleep-tracking apps? Accuracy of sleep analysis: The comparative accuracy in analysis was the primary criteria based on which we short-listed our top apps. Most of the other apps we tested failed to deliver the promised quality in analysing sleep. Method of sleep-tracking: The apps we chose offer you more than one way in which you can track your sleep, giving you more control over what aspects of your sleep are being tracked. Cross platform compatibility: We made sure that the apps were available on both Android and iOS to ease your experience in case you were to make a switch. How we tested the apps Unlike a smart band or watch in which sleep-tracking is convenient as the device is worn on your wrist, sleep-tracking apps on smartphones can only be used by placing the phone near you. If the app uses an accelerometer to track your sleep, the phone needs to be placed beneath your pillow. Since the apps we tested had the microphone option too, we used that method during our trials. When microphones are used to track sleep, the phone needs to be placed next to your bed, with the microphone closer to your body so that your sleeping patterns can be accurately tracked by analysing your audio picked up by the microphone. A word of caution: Most apps ask you to put your phone on charge while sleeping, so as to prevent missed alarms due to phone discharge. You can consider switching to Airplane mode if you're concerned about the health risks of having the phone next to your face for the whole night. Sleep Cycle Sleep Cycle is our best pick. It is a sleep analysis and smart alarm clock app. What we found most surprising with Sleep Cycle is that it actually encourages the user to read through the privacy policy and terms and conditions, unlike a lot of other apps these days. Your sleep is detected using either a microphone or accelerometer, as per your choice. For the microphone, which is the option recommended by the app, the phone needs to be placed on your bedside table. The app analyses your movement and tracks your snoring when you sleep. If you have opted for the accelerometer option, the phone will have to be placed near your head on the mattress or beneath your pillow. We do not recommend this, considering the potential health risks. You can choose whether or not to use the β€˜Snore detection' option and you also have control over the period of time you want the snore detection feature to be enabled. Visual guides called β€˜Placement reminders' remind you to correctly position the phone to use the app correctly. Instead of setting up a particular time for waking up, Sleep Cycle encourages you to set a period of time for waking up through the feature called 'Wake up phase'. This feature gives you a window of time starting from 10 minutes to a maximum of 45 minutes to prepare to wake up. The Snooze option can also be customised to your liking. The app recommends the 'Intelligent' option, which "gives you dynamically paced moments until your wake up time," while with the β€˜Regular' option, you can adjust the interval of time you need between each snooze. You can also choose whether to set the 'Vibration' option with the alarm. 'Sleep school' is a free training programme offered by Sleep Cycle for anyone who wants to learn more about sleep. The β€˜Journal' feature, which are sleep graphs and analysis are available in the free version, while detailed statistics regarding your sleep data is available in the premium version. Sleep Cycle also has sleep sounds to help you get a good night's sleep. The free sounds available on Sleep Cycle are Warm breeze, Forest glade, Morning mist and Sunrise. For more options or to add your own music, you'll have to upgrade to the premium version. After a 7-day free trial, the premium version of Sleep Cycle will cost you Rs. 1,800 per year. Options like β€˜Online backup,' β€˜Sleep notes,' β€˜Wake up mood,' and β€˜Weather' are only available in the premium version. Sleep Cycle can also be synced with Google Fit. https://www.gadgets360.com/apps/guide/best-sleep-tracking-apps-in-the-market-android-ios-apple-2313482
  18. The Poco F5 series is making it global debut tomorrow, but the company's UAE branch jumped the gun and uploaded the two phones on its website today. The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro's specs and images are thus fully revealed, and we are just missing the prices, which will be confirmed tomorrow. Poco F5 Pro The Poco F5 Pro comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and three memory combinations. It might look familiar, and that’s because it is essentially the China-only Redmi K60, but with Google Services and slighlty smaller battery. The screen is 6.67” AMOLED with WQHD+ resolution - that is 3200 x 1440 pixels with 526 ppi, the highest density ever for a Poco smartphone. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. There is a fingerprint scanner underneath and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The back has a 64MP main camera with Omnivision OV64B sensor, f/1.8 aperture and 6P lens, an 8MP ultrawide-angle shooter with 120-degree FoV and a 2MP macro camera. The camera setup supports OIS+EIS, a feature not widely available on Poco devices and making the F5 Pro slightly more attractive to camera enthusiasts. The selfie shooter inside the punch hole has a 16MP sensor, but is limited to 1080p video recording. Poco is quite proud of the 5000 sq.mm. LiquidCool VC which is a mix of stainless steel vapor chambers and graphite layers to improve heat conductivity up to 15%, compared with previous Poco F smartphones. The battery of the Poco F5 Pro is listed as 5,160 mAh, which is lower than the 5,500 mAh cell on the Redmi K60, despite keeping the 67W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. OS is Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top. The Poco F5 Pro will be available in the UAE in White or Black with carbon-imitating finish. Storage and RAM options are 8/256 GB, 12/256 GB, and 12/512 GB. We have to wait until tomorrow’s event to see whether other markets will get more colors and memory options. Poco F5 The vanilla F5 has another Qualcomm chipset, but this time it is the mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 that has one CPU at 2.9 GHz. Storage is 256GB, while RAM is either 8GB or 12GB. The Poco F5 has the same size 6.67” AMOLED panel of 120Hz refresh rate, although the resolution here is 1080p. The rear camera setup consists of a 64MP unknown main sensor, 8MP ultrawide unit and 2MP macro camera. OIS and EIS are still present, but the fact that sensor isn't confirmed suggests a downgrade compared to the Pro. The selfie camera's specs read 16MP resolutio and f/2.45 aperture. The Poco F5 weighs just 181 grams with a 7.9 mm profile. The battery of the Poco F5 is 5,000 mAh and supports 67W charging. Other features include Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top, NFC, IR blaster, NFC and Bluetooth 5.3. If all these specs look familiar, that is because the hardware is shared with another China-only phone - the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo. https://www.gsmarena.com/poco_f5_and_poco_f5_pro_officially_debut_in_uae-news-58477.php
  19. The lightweight version of Windows 11, known as Tiny11, can be run entirely off of a GPU's VRAM as demoed by NTDEV. Windows 11 Without The Bloat "Tiny 11" Can Easily Run On A GPU's VRAM Microsoft's Windows 11 OS has a lot of features and functions but hardly any real consumer would ever make use of all of these at once. Certain features will appear as bloat to users & a lightweight version of the OS exists in the form of Tiny11 which not only tones down the requirements making it run on older systems but also gets rid of the aforementioned bloat and clutter that is associated with the standard Windows 11 OS. Recently, the lower size of the Tiny11 OS has made many users try to run it on various hardware. A few months ago, NTDEV managed to make the entire OS run and work on 384 MB of RAM while a different user managed to run it on just 200 MB of RAM. While the OS was able to boot, the lower resources meant that you couldn't do much else at all besides looking at your achievement in the task manager. However, loading the OS off of the ram opened up room for more experiments and that's how NTDEV ended up using the GPU's VRAM for their next project. Using the GpuRamDrive project, NTDEV was able to store and load the entire Tiny11 OS onto the VRAM of a GPU. The GPU used for this demo was the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop which has a total of 4 GB VRAM. It's really impressive because the OS was running smoothly but the entire pool of memory was in use alongside system ram. Although Tiny11 OS requires 2 GB memory, storing it up on the VRAM and loading it from the same location will put a burden on the VRAM pool. If you want, you can use a higher-end GPU with a wider bus interface for better performance using the same tool. Modern GPUs come with over 10 GB of VRAM so that should be enough to do some light-weight tasks however running games will be bit difficult if you're running below 20 GB VRAM since you'd have to install them on the same available space as the OS on the VRAM. With that said, the 4 GB of GPU VRAM is very fast compared to the RAM and storage devices since it operates at much faster bandwidths. As the primary storage device for the Tiny11 OS, the storage performance came out spectacular with sequential reads of up to 1960 MB/s & writes of up to 2497 MB/s. Once again, the OS was in use on the same pool so performance could've been better. This goes off to show that Tiny11 OS can be a good alternative for users who don't have the required PC hardware to run the standard OS but are accustomed to the new Windows 11 interface and certain features that it offers. https://wccftech.com/tiny11-toned-down-version-of-windows-11-can-run-on-a-gpu-with-4-gb-vram/
