  1. Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is tipped to launch in the first quarter of 2022 as the global variant of Moto Edge X30 which was launched on December 6 in China. Details of the smartphone's specifications as well as its design have been spotted online in the past, giving enthusiasts an idea of what to expect from the upcoming handset. Two new accessories — a Motorola Smart Stylus and a Folio Case — for the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Ultra have been spotted, ahead of the launch of the smartphone. Motorola is yet to officially announce details of the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra or these accessories. Images of a new Motorola Smart Stylus and a Folio Case for the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra smartphone have been shared by XDA Developers. The stylus supports wireless charging and can connect via Bluetooth to the upcoming smartphone, which is tipped to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It will reportedly support air gestures. It will also offer the ability to write in text input boxes, control media, and doubles as a mouse with an external display, according to the report. The upcoming Motorola Smart Stylus stylus will reportedly offer special integration with the upcoming Motorola Edge 30 Ultra, such as the ability to automatically enable Bluetooth when it is removed from the cover. The phone will also show the status of the stylus once it is connected, including charging status, or detecting when it is not inside the case for a while. After using the stylus, users can return it to the Folio Case to wirelessly charge the Motorola Smart Stylus, according to the report. Motorola Edge 30 Ultra is said to feature an always-on display (AOD), and the company's Folio Case features a panel in the centre of the display from top to bottom, where users can see details such as missed calls or battery status. The images of the Folio Case also suggest that users may be able to reject or answer calls without opening the case. According to report, the company could call the accessory by a different name when it is eventually launched. The accessories are tipped to launch alongside each other, but Motorola is yet to officially reveal any details of these accessories or the Motorola Edge 30 Ultra smartphone.
  2. According to multiple sources, NVIDIA has asked its board partners to halt the production of their upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti custom graphics cards. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Reportedly Has Issues Related To BIOS & Hardware Design, Custom Model Production Allegedly Halted Based on reports from TweakTown's and Videocardz's sources, it looks like NVIDIA has asked their board partners to stop the production of their upcoming GeForce RTX 3090 Ti custom models. The graphics card was announced a few weeks back at CES 2022 and NVIDIA stated that they will have more information (specs/pricing/availability) later this month. AIBs were also expected to announce their own custom models though that may possibly be delayed based on this new report. According to Videocardz, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti issues are related to the BIOS and the hardware design which means that it is not only a software-related issue but also a fault within the reference PCB design that's passed over to AIBs to develop their custom models around. NVIDIA is not making just one PCB for its Founders Edition boards but they also design a reference PCB for AIBs which can be used as a basis to develop their own PCB designs. This however hasn't panned well in favor of NVIDIA and the PCB is now showcasing design flaws due to which production needs to be halted. There are several changes that NVIDIA has made to the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti if earlier leaks are correct. Not only does it feature a full GA102 GPU core but it also comes with a brand new PCB design that utilizes dual-capacity 2 GB GDDR6X dies with up to 21 Gbps speeds, an insane 450W TDP design, and also expected to feature a PCIe Gen 5 interface and power connector (16-pin). It's likely that one of those didn't work out as NVIDIA had planned. NVIDIA has so far not confirmed any of these reports but they do get the benefit since they never officially announced the launch or availability date of the card itself. It was only announced that we will get to hear more about the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti later this month and that may still happen. The leaked launch date suggested the card to be fully unveiled on 27th January but embargoes & NDA's on unannounced cards get changed all the time (just like the countless specs for Ampere cards that we have seen before). Just earlier today, we saw Gigabyte list down several of its custom models at EEC so those may or may not be part of the batch that has been affected by the issues & may need to be recalled. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Graphics Card Specifications - Full Fat GA102 GPU & 24 GB GDDR6X Memory At the heart of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card lies the GA102 GPU. The GA102 is one of the many Ampere GPUs that we will be getting on the gaming segment. The GA102 GPU is the fastest gaming GPU that NVIDIA has produced. The GPU is based on Samsung's 8nm custom process node designed specifically for NVIDIA and features a total of 28 Billion transistors. It measures 628mm2 which makes it the 2nd biggest gaming GPU ever produced right below the Turing TU102 GPU. The new shader core on the NVIDIA Ampere architecture is 2.7x faster, the new RT cores are 1.7x faster while the new Tensor cores are up to 2.7x faster than the previous generation Turing GPUs. The 2nd Generation RT core delivers dedicated hardware-accelerated ray-tracing performance & features twice the ray/triangles intersection with concurrent RT graphics and compute operations. For the GeForce RTX 3090, NVIDIA has enabled a total of 84 SM units on its flagship which results in a total of 10,752 CUDA cores (vs 82 SM / 10496 cores on RTX 3090 Non-Ti). In addition to the CUDA cores, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 3090 Ti also comes packed with next-generation RT (Ray-Tracing) cores, Tensor cores, and brand new SM or streaming multi-processor units. The GPU runs at a base clock speed of 1560 MHz and a boost clock speed of 1860 MHz. The card has a TDP of 450W. In terms of memory, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti comes packed with 240 GB of memory and that too the next-generation GDDR6X design. With Micron's latest and greatest graphics memory dies, the RTX 3090 Ti can deliver GDDR6X memory speeds of 21 Gbps. That along with a bus interface of 384-bit will deliver a cumulative bandwidth of 1008 Gbps.
  3. The original Dying Light was one of the best examples of a well-managed “live service” game, as Techland delivered years upon years of quality extra content following the game’s initial 2016 launch. Support for Dying Light finally seems to slowing down, so can we expect the same impressive level for the upcoming Dying Light 2: Stay Human? Thankfully, it seems the answer is “yes.” Today Techland took to Twitter to guarantee that Dying Light 2 would get at least five years of post-launch support, including “new stories, locations, and in-game events.” Guaranteeing that you’ll support a game for five years before you even release it is a bold move, but Techland has built a large and loyal community with the first Dying Light, and they clearly want to make them feel comfortable about moving over to the sequel. With Dying Light 2 nearly here, Techland recently released their final Dying 2 Know presentation, which provided a first look at co-op play and the game running on last-gen consoles – get the full rundown on that here. Meanwhile, here’s the game’s official description, for those who haven’t been keeping up… Over twenty years ago in Harran, we fought the virus -- and lost. Now, we’re losing again. The City, one of the last large human settlements, is torn by conflict. Civilization has fallen back into the Dark Ages. And yet, we still have hope. You are a wanderer with the power to change the fate of The City. But your exceptional abilities come at a price. Haunted by memories you cannot decipher, you set out to learn the truth… and find yourself in a combat zone. Hone your skills, as you’ll need both fists and wits. Unravel the dark secrets behind the wielders of power, choose sides and decide your destiny. But wherever your actions take you, there's one thing you can never forget -- stay human Vast open world - Participate in the life of a city engulfed in a new dark era. Discover different paths and hidden passages, as you explore its multiple levels and locations. Choices and consequences - Shape the future of The City with your actions and watch how it changes. Determine the balance of power by making choices in a growing conflict and forge your own experience. Day and Night cycle - Wait for night to venture into dark hideouts of the Infected. Sunlight keeps them at bay, but once it’s gone, monsters begin the hunt, leaving their lairs free to explore. Creative and brutal combat - Take advantage of your parkour skills to tip the scales of even the most brutal encounter. Clever thinking, traps and creative weapons will be your best friends. 2-4 player co-op gameplay - Play in up to four-player co-op. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is coming to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and Switch via the cloud on February 4, 2022.

  6. Vivo Y21e specifications and design have surfaced on the Web ahead of an official announcement. The Vivo phone seems to be the company's new mid-range option in the Y series. The Vivo Y21e appears to have a waterdrop-style display notch and dual rear cameras. The smartphone is also said to have two distinct colour options — with a gradient finish on both. Vivo has not yet revealed any formal details about the Y21e. However, considering the amount of information that has appeared online, the phone can be expected to get an official confirmation in the coming days. In collaboration with tipster Ishan Agarwal, 91Mobiles has reported the purported details about the Vivo Y21e. The smartphone renders suggest that it could come in Blue and White colours and include a thin chin at the front. There may also be a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Vivo Y21e specifications (expected) On the specifications front, the source claimed that the Vivo Y21e will run on Android 12 and will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. The phone is also said to have a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back and 18W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y21e may include USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It could also include a single speaker grille and a primary microphone on the bottom side. This is notably not the first time when we are hearing about the Vivo Y21e. The phone appeared on benchmark website Geekbench with the model number V2140 in November. At the time, the same model number was also spotted on the IMEI certification site. As per the details surfaced on Geekbench, the Vivo phone could include at least 3GB of RAM. The benchmark listing also showed the handset with Android 11 — contrary to what has now been reported online.
  7. Could the release of Valve’s Steam Deck be pushed back yet again? The anticipated handheld gaming PC has already been delayed once, and chip shortages are still very much a thing, so could the release date slip again? Thankfully, it seems that won’t be the case. Valve has provided an early 2022 update on the state of the Steam Deck, and according to them, they’ll be getting units “out the door” by late February. Happy New Year! The team is back from the holiday and firing on all cylinders - we’ve got a few updates for you today. First and foremost, we’re on track to ship Steam Deck on time. Global pandemic, supply issues, and shipping issues notwithstanding, it looks like we'll be able to start getting these out the door by the end of February Of course, not everybody’s unit will ship in February, as they’re going out on a first-ordered, first-served basis. In case you’ve forgotten, you can check when your unit will be available here. Meanwhile, Valve has also been ramping up their Steam Deck Verified program (Portal 2 is the first game to officially receive the “Deck Verified” checkmark) by sending out testing kits to devs… In parallel, work and testing for the Steam Deck Verified program has been underway. You’ll soon be able to see Deck Verified status for a growing set of Steam games. We’re checking four major categories: input, seamlessness, display, and system support. It’s also important that we give developers the ability to test their games in order to get that nice green Verified check, so we’ve been sending developer kits out in quantity. We've been approving another wave of dev kits, and hundreds have been shipped out in the last month (and we're continuing to approve and send out even more). Sounds like it’s full speed ahead for the Steam Deck! Anybody out there expecting to get their hands on one this year?
  8. Dying Light 2: Stay Human is less than a month away, and publisher Techland is keeping the hype train running with one last “Dying 2 Know” episode. This one’s a big one and addresses some lingering questions, including “How does co-op work?” and “What does the game look like on last-gen consoles?” We also get a nice chunk of new gameplay, showing off the game’s various features. You can check out Dying 2 Know Episode 6 below, provided you have around 20 minutes to spare. As mentioned, co-op was probably the biggest thing discussed during the show. Up to 4 players can play together, and even if you’re not hosting, you get to keep all your items and player progression. No mission is walled off from co-op either, with players being able to vote when branching narrative choices come up. As for how the game runs on last-gen consoles, the results look pretty solid. Granted, the lighting isn’t as nice, and I’m sure the resolution takes a hit, but the base assets look about the same as they do on PC/XSX/PS5. Need to know more about Dying Light 2? Here’s the game’s official description... Over twenty years ago in Harran, we fought the virus -- and lost. Now, we’re losing again.
