Not all chairs are created equal. Some are for dining, some are for children, some are on trains, planes and in cars, and some are just an extension of our wardrobes (read: chair-drobes). But chairs aren’t always just for sitting – some have a little more personality. They are created for very specific things we do in our homes, and no, on this occasion, I’m not talking about the humble barstool. Furniture designed with a very specific use in mind adds undeniable character, not to mention a talking point for your interior scheme. There is a distinct human essence to these pieces, a sense of identity that normal furniture does not often possess. My fascination with such characterful works started with the love seat, a piece that can be found in museums, antique emporiums and contemporary furniture retailers alike. Chairs like love seats command action by steering our body language through shape and style. These pieces are usually found in the Baroque style, upholstered in rich velvet damask fabrics and with ornate, acanthus carved wooden legs. For a contemporary update on the original 18th century styles, Rockett St George has created a sofa with moveable backing cushions that turn a rather innocent looking black leather, dimpled sofa into a love seat. Perfect for long nights of poetic whisperings and sipping good wine with that special someone, this industrial yet charming piece is a great choice for both a city home and a dark corner in a stately drawing room. Of course, 1stDibs is always a fantastic place to find antique originals or even quirkier pieces. Perhaps the only high street sofa and chair manufacturer to recognise the true potential for charm in their wares is Sofa Workshop. The brand’s wonky-armed Daydreamer model is the 21st century’s answer to the gossip chair, or telephone chair, styles which feature a built-in side table for a retro chord telephone, and subsequent gossiping. Sitters are encouraged by the Daydreamer's peculiar shape to take their chins into their hands, spending an afternoon lost in thought and fantasies. Shown here in Sanderson’s Capuchins fabric complete with delicate and inspiring botanical etchings, who could resist the temptation to daydream in such a chair? Finally, here's another one for all the lovers out there. The snuggler chair is to millennials what pattern matching your curtains and your sofa was to Generation X. In other words, snugglers are having a moment, and rightly so. Snugglers somehow boast both generous dimensions and space savviness in homes that might not be able to accommodate more than one sofa. Not only this, but their charm credentials qualify them for this very roundup. Complete with a cute name and available in a vast array of styles from almost every furniture manufacturer, the snuggler is at its core and by its name an invitation to curl up and spend time with your beaux (or your dog, obviously.) So why not keep your eyes peeled for a truly enchanting chair with charm for your home? Choose pieces that look as if they could spring to life from the corner of your eye, just as Guy de Maupassant describes in his 1890 short story, Who Knows?: “And behold, I perceived, all at once… an armchair, my large reading chair, which came waddling out. Right into the garden it went, followed by others, the chairs of my drawing room, then the comfortable settee, crawling like crocodiles on their short legs; next, all my chairs bounding like goats and the small footstools which followed like rabbits.”

What’s new : New midlevel LE trim level Automatic climate control is standard across all trims Part of the first Mirage G3 generation introduced for 2017 Pros & Cons : Impressive fuel economy when equipped with the CVT automatic Generous warranty coverage One of the least expensive cars on sale Acceleration is very slow Engine is noisy and unrefined Excessive road noise at highway speeds Low-buck interior, even for this price 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage G3 Review : A fraternal twin to the Mirage hatchback, the 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a subcompact sedan with a small footprint and a small price tag. As one of the least expensive cars you can buy new today, the Mirage is bare-bones transportation at a competitive price. It also gets a long warranty and great gas mileage with an EPA-estimated 37 mpg combined. Unfortunately, the downsides are significant. Under the hood, there's a tiny 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that feels anemic at any speed. Sheer straight-line performance shouldn't be a top priority with a subcompact sedan, but when it takes nearly 13 seconds to reach 60 mph, it's time for concern. Whether you're at a standstill or on the highway, the Mirage G3 is loud and unpleasant, with poor seat comfort and a short list of available features. Before you let the low price draw you in, we'd recommend taking a look at more well-rounded rivals such as the Honda Fit, Kia Rio and Toyota Yaris. Notably, we picked the 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 as one of Edmunds' Best Gas Mileage Cars for 2020. Which Mirage G3 does Edmunds recommend? To get the Mirage G3's top-notch fuel economy rating, you've got to go with the optional continuously variable automatic transmission. Aside from that upgrade, though, we'd stick with the base ES trim level. You don't get optional features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto or the Rockford Fosgate audio system, but it keeps the G4's price competitive. Mitsubishi Mirage G3 models The 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage G3 is a subcompact sedan offered in three trim levels: ES, LE and SE. Every Mirage G3 has a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 78 horsepower and 74 lb-ft of torque. The ES gives you the choice between a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while the LE and SE get the CVT automatic.

Your parents might have told you that your Art History degree would never help you in the real world, and I’ll bet you are very excited to tell them about the marginal advantage you have now gained in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. For many island denizens, today is the first day with a full visit from Redd, a shifty fox with a trawler full of counterfeit art and, sometimes, real art. If you’re a well-versed expert in all manner of painting and statuary from various cultures, you should have no problem telling real from fake. Everyone else will need help. I’m working on a full list as well as some callouts for individual pieces—its sort of fun to take the opportunity to look at a single painting—but it’s taking a second given lockdown-related time constraints. For now, we’re just going to go with a set of guidelines. To start with, only one of the works of art on display will be real, so you’ve got a 1 in 4 chance of picking right if you pick randomly. If you can eliminate one or two, you’re on your way. The problem is that you won’t know what the real names of these works of art without bringing them to Blathers: on the ship they’re all reduced to weird little descriptors. Van Gogh’s Starry Night becomes “Twinkling Painting”, The Mona Lisa becomes “Famous Painting”, and so on. For the more famous ones, you can probably figure it out. But you won’t know the precise names of many of the works of art you’re looking at.The first thing you can do is use common sense: should that Olmec Head be smiling? Probably not. That will really only take you so far, however, because many of the differences are very subtle: I wouldn’t necessarily expect you to know the accurate color of an ermine in Renaissance Portraiture.

Your computer is a personal storage facility, and it contains all of your most important, precious and private information. The problem is, your home computer is much easier to access than government or corporate computer systems, making you a prime target for the ever hunting cyber-criminals.Having any of your private information stolen or posted online would be devastating! But beware, it happens to more people than you might think: on average 1 in 4 people are hacked every day. With over 5 billion people using computers worldwide, it’s no surprise that cyber attacks have seen a dramatic increase and are now more common than ever. Hidden Malware can be found in po[CENSORED]r computer programs and emails. Not running regular security scans could pose a significant risk. The problem is, there aren’t many computer security applications that will protect you from these dangers for a reasonable price. Until now… Thanks to The Kim Komando Show we managed to discover TotalAV, the #1 Rated security product on Trustpilot. Now everyone knows the big names like Norton and McAfee, so when we saw this lesser-known provider ranked #1 with over 10,000 excellent reviews and a 5-star rating we thought we should check it out.TotalAV has partnered up with Windows trained developers and are giving away instant virus and malware security scans to all computer owners for free. Our main goal was simple, we wanted to help users protect their personal information, identity, and online banking without fears that their computer may be compromised. On top of that, we added the browsing encryption tool to prevent internet providers or snoopers tracking our customers’ online activity.”He continues, “People already love the most recent system. Our plan is to give as many free scan licenses away so that the product goes viral. We would like to have our protection in every single home by the end of 2020 and we feel good knowing that we’re helping make life more secure for our customers.”This isn’t the first time that giving away products for almost nothing has been employed, big companies with large marketing budgets are no strangers to the giveaway tactic. Burger King gave away 20,000 free whoppers via Facebook in a similar event in 2013.What Makes This Protection So Incredible?TotalAV has a cutting edge algorithm that can detect and remove any viruses, adware, malware, and spyware that may be lying undetected within your computer. It’s common that hidden threats go undetected until they start to slow down your computer, bombard you with advertising or even steal personal information when browsing, shopping or banking online.

Adopting a healthier lifestyle to avoid becoming diabetic may help men beat erectile dysfunction, a new study suggests. Being predisposed to type 2 diabetes – linked to unhealthy diets and a lack of exercise – could be behind the condition, research has found. Scientists looked at data on more than 220,000 men, 6,000 of whom experienced erectile dysfunction. Using cutting-edge genetic analysis, the team found that having a genetic predisposition to type 2 diabetes was linked with erectile dysfunction, which they said provided evidence that the two are linked. Co-lead author Dr Anna Murray, of the University of Exeter Medical School, said: “Erectile dysfunction affects at least one in five men over 60, yet up until now little has been known about its cause. “Our paper echoes recent findings that the cause can be genetic, and it goes further. We found that a genetic predisposition to type 2 diabetes is linked to erectile dysfunction. “That may mean that if people can reduce their risk of diabetes through healthier lifestyles, they may also avoid developing erectile dysfunction.” Co-lead author Professor Michael Holmes, of the University of Oxford, said: “Our finding is important as diabetes is preventable and indeed one can now achieve ‘remission’ from diabetes with weight loss, as illustrated in recent clinical trials. This goes beyond finding a genetic link to erectile dysfunction to a message that is of widespread relevance to the general public, especially considering the burgeoning prevalence of diabetes. Diabetes UK recommends eating lots of fruit and veg and taking exercise to stave off diabetes. Co-first author Dr Jonas Bovijn, also from the University of Oxford, said: “We know that there is observational evidence linking erectile dysfunction and type 2 diabetes, but until now there has not been definitive evidence to show that predisposition to type 2 diabetes causes erectile dysfunction.”

Members of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National People's Assembly, during their discussion of the draft budget settlement law for the year 2017 to invite the recommendations of the Accounting Council in the field of public finance control, called for granting him a judicial authority to activate his role and not to limit his functions as an advisory body,follow-up mechanisms and implementing the budget by resorting to new planning and outlook methods. The members of the Finance and Budget Committee touched on the comments made by the Accounting Council in its report on the draft law that includes the budget settlement for the fiscal year 2017, where they demanded that its recommendations be taken into account, calling at the same time to give him a judicial authority to monitor public money and not be satisfied as a consultative body. The committee members also called for limiting the reassessment of projects and stopping work with special allocation funds and auditing by modernizing exchange and follow-up mechanisms and implementing the budget by resorting to new planning and outlook methods. The committee noted the poor tax collection and the failure to use available financial positions. Finance Minister Abdel-Rahman Rawya emphasized that the revaluation of projects is witnessing a positive improvement in recent years and that the revaluation of projects is recorded less. The Minister indicated that the tax collection is growing from year to year thanks to the measures taken in this regard. Rawya considered that the parallel market and tax exemptions hinder the improvement of tax collection, noting that the expansion of tax centers at the national level and the optimal guarantee of tax agents will reduce the impact of these factors. Concerning private allocation funds, the minister said that these funds do provide a "bit of freedom" to act, but they remain under control and will be reduced in the coming years thanks to the full implementation of the organic law of financial laws by 2023

Replacing the Yamaha MT-07 Tracer, the 700 Tracer changes its look and adopts adjustable suspensions. Significant changes but billed at a Hollywood rate. Sister of the fiery MT-07 roadster, the Yamaha Tracer 700 operates the same engine but adds an adjustable bubble, a large tank, a thicker saddle in one part, a raised handlebar, an extended swingarm (+6 cm wheelbase ) and specific suspensions now adjustable (in rebound as in compression). Interesting modifications which however require a substantial additional cost of € 1,700 compared to the MT-07 roadster. Billed at € 8,799, the Yamaha Tracer 700 is placed above the Suzuki V-Strom 650 (€ 8,399) and other Kawasaki Versys 650 (€ 8,049). For this price, we would have liked to have more generous equipment with traction control and why not a connectivity system with a smartphone application. We are in 2020, twenty god! In short, you have to settle for a small recess in the fairing to accommodate an optional USB socket ... at 30 €! Suffice to say that this Yamaha 700 tracer "made its star". The Yamaha Tracer 700 focuses on design above all! To make the pill swallow, Yamaha has bet heavily on the design, very modern and differentiating with daytime running lights and LED indicators as well as lenticular headlights which can be supplemented by fog lights of the same type (optional at 469 €) . Another strong point is the well thought-out ergonomics of the controls with a button on the handlebars to navigate the on-board computer menus. Manual windscreen adjustment is also a breeze. The saddle is not too high and the riding position pleasant solo as well as in duet. A rear damper adjustment dial would still have been nice. A stable and fast but hard Yamaha Tracer 700 At start-up, the engine sound is quite muffled. To comply with Euro5 standards, the 689 cc twin-cylinder has a new, larger, quieter exhaust. From the first meters, the Yamaha Tracer 700 offers a natural grip thanks to its contained weight and its good balance. However, it remains less manoeuvrable in town than the MT-07, which is both lighter (-14 kg) and shorter. The engine remains relatively flexible at low speed and beyond 6000 rpm, it finds its second wind and jumps up to 10 000 rpm. No need to force to reach 207 km / h in 6th. Powerful and stable at high speed, the Yamaha Tracer 700 lacks comfort in the long run. If the side scoops deflect the air at the level of the legs, the windscreen does not work miracles. It appears moreover more effective in low position than in high position. Vibrations are also felt in the handlebars and the footrests beyond 120 km / h. With the original settings, the suspensions seemed very firm for a road trail and the gearbox control lacked fluidity. Note that our model had few kilometers on the odometer. Braking with ABS is effective, but the inconsistent rear brake pedal lacks progressiveness. During our test, our consumption increased to 6.2 l / 100 km. Count less than 6.0 l / 100 l in current use. Nothing great, however, for an engine that meets the latest emissions standards. Verdict: Thanks to its refreshing design, its easy handling and its sparkling engine, the Yamaha 700 Tracer should remain the queen of its segment. But it is not much more comfortable than the Yamaha MT-07 and remains very little in equipment. Yamaha Tracer 700

A cave complex recently reopened on the north Kent coast joins an array of interesting, awe-inspiring and historic grottos from Iceland to New Zealand ocoons of glistening ice in Vatnajökull glacier, Iceland; geometric Fingal’s Cave in Scotland; echoey mouths of darkness in Mexico’s cenotes. All over the world, caves have inspired awe, as well as providing shelter This week, a slightly lesser-known site, Margate Caves, has reopened after being closed to visitors for 15 years. Campaigners have been working to save it from redevelopment since 2008, raising funds to preserve, restore and reopen it The caves were formed from a chalk mine dug in the 1700s. The stone was extracted by hand using iron picks, whose marks can still be seen on the cave walls. Around 2,000 tonnes of chalk was hauled out and used to make bricks and cement for local building work. Once this was completed, the caves were sealed again and left undisturbed until the 1800s when, so one story goes, they were rediscovered by accident by a gardener working for the landowner, one Francis Forster A later newspaper article told a different tale – of Mr Forster discovering the caves after he noticed that his pet rabbits kept disappearing by the roots of a pear tree. After its discovery, Forster added a stairway, and used the caves as an ice store and wine cellar. He and subsequent owners decorated the caves with murals, including a tiger, a bear and a green hippopotamus. After Forster’s death the caves were sealed again, and in subsequent years were opened and closed as a tourist attraction by several owners and used as air raid shelters in the two world wars. They were also rumoured to have been used bysmugglers bringing in contraband from the Thanet coast.AdvertisementThe recent conservation project has involved installing specialist lighting around the caves (which are 94 metres long and 12 metres high), restoring the artworks and building a visitor centre. The work has also led to the discovery of a new borehole, which suggests there could be a further tunnel below . If you prefer cave art that’s a little older, Cueva de las Manos (Cave of Hands) in the Pinturas valley in a remote part of Argentinian Patagonia, has stencilled handprints dating back 10,000 years. They are some of the earliest examples of cave art, made using mineral pigments and spraying pipes. Also in Patagonia, on the Chilean side, the Capillas de Mármol (Marble Chapels) have been carved by 6,000-plus years of waves washing away softer stone to reveal the swirling blues of a peninsula of solid marble Caves that appear to glow in the dark can be found in many spots around the Mediterranean. Capri’s Blue Grotto is one of the best-known, but a good alternative is the Blue Cave, on the island of Bisevo near Split, Croatia. The glow is the result of the sun’s rays hitting the water and reflecting off the limestone floor Sometimes it’s what’s inside the cave that draws visitors. Phraya Nakhon cave, in Khao Sam Roi Yot national park in central Thailand, has a temple positioned directly under a shaft of light coming from a hole in the ceiling and surrounded by trees reaching for the light It’s the wildlife that people come to see at the Cave of Swallows in Aquismón, eastern Mexico. It’s home to thousands of birds that fly in concentric circles to exit and enter from the surrounding jungle. It’s the world’s largest known cave shaft, around 200 metres wide and dropping 1,900 metres to the floor from its highest side.

Tabbou, veteran opposition figure, and Benlarbi to be freed at the president's initiative, an opposition leader said,Two main figures of Algeria's Hirak protest movement will soon be freed at the president's initiative, the leader of an opposition party said. Karim Tabbou, a veteran opposition figure and secretary-general of Algeria's Socialist Forces Front (FFS), is serving a one-year term for an "attack on the integrity of national territory". Samir Benlarbi has been held in preventive detention since March 7. "President Abdelmadjid Tebboune assured me that he would use his constitutional prerogative to ensure that Tabbou and Benlarbi regain their freedom," Sosiane Djilali told AFP news agency on Tuesday. "It's solemn commitment on his part," said the Jil Jadid party leader after a meeting with Tebboune that he had requested to discuss the two cases. In the Algerian judicial system, the president has the right to pardon prisoners. In principle, that right applies only to those whose convictions are final, such as Tabbou. Tabbou, who turned 47 on Tuesday, is one of the most prominent figures, if not the best-known, of the Hirak movement which led to the downfall last April of former President Abdelaziz Bouteflika after 20 years in power. Abdulghani Badi, the lawyer representing the jailed activists, posted on his Facebook page that Benlarbi has been transferred to Kolea prison southwest of the capital, Algiers,Weekly anti-government protests rocked Algeria for more than a year and only came to a halt in March due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, with the authorities banning marches - although the opposition had already suspended its gatherings. Abdennour Toumi, a Paris-based Algerian journalist, said Tabbou and his group are considered as "hardliners" which explains why the government has taken stronger measures in dealing with them,Commenting on the expected release, he said the move is a "pre-emptive" measure designed to deny the Hirak the ability to use activists as a "rallying call" should the resurgence of mass protests begin,"The message the president is trying to send to the public is of a conciliatory gesture to people in Algeria and foreign audience, especially France," he said. But the Algerian government continues to target opponents, journalists, independent media and internet users,According to the National Committee for the Release of Detainees (CNLD), some 60 people are currently held on charges linked to the protest movement. After causing the downfall of Bouteflika last April, the Hirak movement has continued demanding an overhaul of Algeria's governance system, which has been in place since independence from France in 1962,Angry at unemployment, corruption and an elderly elite seen as out of touch with the young, Algerians began taking to the streets in February last year to protest, initially against Bouteflika's plans to remain in office, and then for the removal of all remnants of a political and military establishment that dominated the country for decades.

A Virginia judge has issued an 10-day injunction that prevents Gov. Ralph Northam’s administration from removing an iconic but controversial statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee in Richmond,The governor, however, won't be deterred, a spokesman told The Progress-Index, a member of the USA TODAY Network,“Governor Northam remains committed to removing this divisive symbol from Virginia’s capital city, and we’re confident in his authority to do so,” press secretary Alena Yarmosky said in an email late Monday night. On Monday, Richmond Circuit Court judge Bradley B. Cavedo granted a request by attorneys for William C. Gregory that would halt any of the preparation work involved in removing the statue from its 130-year-old residence on Monument Avenue,In the order, Cavedo said Northam’s directive is a violation of an 1890 deed filed in Henrico County stating the commonwealth “guaranteed” to place the 12-ton statue and its 40-foot pedestal in its existing location and to “faithfully guard it and affectionately protect it.” The property was part of Henrico County until Richmond annexed it in 1892. The Monument Avenue Preservation Group said on its Facebook page Monday that the plaintiff, Gregory, has family ties to one of the original benefactors of the fund that paid for it. That could not be immediately confirmed by The Progress-Index. The group said on its Facebook page that it supported the judge’s decision “wholeheartedly.” Cavedo wrote that the delay will do “little harm” to the state in its push to remove the statue. The order names Northam and Joseph F. Damico, director of the state Department of General Services, as defendants. DGS is the agency tasked with overseeing the removal. Yarmosky said the governor’s office was “still reviewing the order.”

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Patients with high blood pressure can dispense pressure-reducing medications within 16 weeks by making lifestyle changes, a new US study shows. The study was conducted by researchers at the University of North Carolina and presented its findings to the annual conference of the American Heart Association in Chicago. To monitor the effectiveness of lifestyle changes including healthy eating and regular exercise, and their role in reducing high blood pressure, the team monitored 129 overweight and obese men and women aged 40 to 80 with high blood pressure. The blood pressure rates among the participants ranged from 130-160 / 80-99 mmHg (unit of blood pressure measurement), while the normal blood pressure rate was 120/80 mmHg. The researchers subjected participants to one of three interventions for 16 weeks, and participants in the first group changed the content of their diet, followed the Dash diet, and participated in an exercise program three times a week. The participants in the second group only changed the diet, with a focus on the Dash diet without a sports program, while the third group did not change their eating habits, and the participants in the three groups did not take any blood pressure medications. The Dash diet focuses on eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and low-fat foods, while urging the avoidance of high-calorie, high-fat, sweets, red meat and low salt intake. After the study period, the researchers found that the group that followed the Dash diet in addition to the program of weight management and sports, weighed about 8.6 kilograms, and also decreased blood pressure by 16 mmHg in systolic pressure and 10 mmHg in diastolic blood pressure. The second group, which followed only the Dash diet, had a lower blood pressure of 11 millimeters of mercury in systolic pressure and 8 millimeters of mercury in diastolic blood pressure, compared with the third. At the end of the study, only 15 percent of those who changed their diet and exercise habits needed antihypertensive drugs, compared with 23 percent in the group that changed only their diet. The researchers said their study demonstrated that "lifestyle adjustments, including healthy eating and regular exercise, can significantly reduce the number of patients who need a drug that lowers blood pressure." "These lifestyle modifications will be extremely useful for people with a higher risk of cardiovascular disease," they added. High blood pressure leads to serious health complications, including heart attacks, angina, strokes, kidney failure, preeclampsia, and blindness due to eye tissue damage. Researchers at the University of Rush Medical Center in Chicago, in a report published in the medical journal of the American Academy of Neuroscience, that older people with high blood pressure are at risk of brain disease. They also found a link between high blood pressure and the appearance of signs of Alzheimer's disease and brain entanglements. "We wanted to see what kind of impact it might have on the brain," study author Zoe Arvanitakis said. “We looked at whether late-life blood pressure was associated with signs of brain aging, including plaques and entanglements associated with Alzheimer's disease, brain lesions called infarctions, and areas of dead tissue caused by blood clogging, which can increase with age and often are not. Discoverable and can lead to stroke. ”

Land Rover is already finalizing the tests of the Range Rover Evoque 2019. It is the second generation of this SUV or medium-sized SUV that could reach dealerships throughout 2019. Everything points to this new Range Rover Evoque will be shown in its final version at the Paris Salon of 2018, in October, to begin its commercialization in the spring of 2019. The arrival of the new Range Rover Evoque supposes the substitution of the Evoque launched in 2012 and updated in 2015. This model has been a success for the British firm since in these close to six years Land Rover has marketed more than 600,000 units of this model. As it happened with the first Evoque, there are several sources that suggest that this new Evoque will also maintain the different bodies shown to date: five doors, three doors and convertible. Regarding this first Evoque, Land Rover has preferred to maintain the structure or frame, although it has improved some elements of the body to have a greater habitability - it is said that could have increased about 2 centimeters in the wheelbase. This platform is a highly amortized structure since it is the D8 platform that, in turn, derives from the EUCD of the Ford group - it must be remembered that Land Rover belonged to the Ford group before the Tata Indians bought it. Also Land Rover will change the design so that this new Evoque follow the trends of the brand offered in the Velar. In this way, it could be said that the new Evoque is a Velar to scale. In fact, this new Evoque that has been able to see in some testing phase, incorporates a front similar to the Velar. In addition, the structure will also receive some variations so that the new Evoque no longer only incorporates mechanics powered by conventional fuels but could also have versions with some type of electrification. However, this statement is still to be confirmed as other sources point out that since it is an old platform that it incorporates, this structure can not offer any type of electrification. As at the moment we do not have any photo of the new Range Rover Evoque of 2019, we illustrate this information with an image of the optical groups of the new Velar.

Colon cancer patients seem to have a better chance of survival if they have already been practicing healthy lifestyle habits before their diagnosis, a new study suggests. Survival rates for colon cancer vary widely, even among patients who have similar tumors and receive the same treatment. It has been suggested that lifestyle factors before and after colon cancer diagnosis play a role, according to the study authors. The new research supports the idea that the healthier a person's lifestyle score prior to diagnosis, the better the odds of survival. However, it should be noted that the study was only designed to show an association between healthy lifestyle factors and improved survival; it did not prove that these factors directly caused the better survival outcomes. The study included data from more than 520,000 people in 10 European countries. Their health was followed for an average of six years. During that time, nearly 3,300 of the participants were diagnosed with colon cancer. The patients were given scores based on how well they followed healthy lifestyle guidelines in areas such as diet, physical activity and weight. The new study revealed that having a healthy weight and high consumption of plant-based foods were most strongly linked with survival, according to the study published online May 7 in the journal BMC Medicine. The investigators also found that women who breast-fed had a better chance of survival than those who did not breast-feed. This link has been found in breast cancer, but this is the first time it has been seen in colon cancer, the study authors said. "The results of this study demonstrate that a healthy lifestyle in your adult life, in line with recommendations on diet, physical activity and body weight for cancer prevention, do not only prevent developing bowel [colon] cancer but, in those who eventually developed it, it improves survival," lead author Dora Romaguera, from Imperial College London, said in a journal news release. However, it's not known if adopting healthy lifestyle habits after colon cancer diagnosis can improve patients' chances of survival. Further research is needed to find out if that's the case, the study authors said.

ROME, (Reuters) - The Italian economy, brought to its knees by the coronavirus, will contract by around 8.3% this year, national statistics bureau ISTAT said on Monday. In its twice-yearly economic outlook report, ISTAT slashed its forecast from a projection of 0.6% growth made in December last year, before the start of Italy’s virus outbreak. The epidemic has killed almost 34,000 people in Italy since it came to light on Feb. 21, the fourth highest death toll in the world. A government lockdown to curb contagion shuttered the majority of factories and services for most of March and April. “This year the GDP fall will be determined mainly by the drop domestic demand net of inventories,” ISTAT said, projecting that household spending would fall 8.7% and investments would collapse by 12.5%. Its 2020 GDP forecast of -8.3% compares with projections of -9.2% by the Bank of Italy, -9.5% by European Commission and a -8.0% forecast made in April by the government of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement and the centre-left Democratic Party. The statistics bureau forecast than the economy would stage a partial rebound next year, with GDP growth of 4.6%. It premised its forecast for this year on the assumption that the second quarter would post a steeper GDP drop than the 5.3% quarterly decline registered in the first three months, and that the economy would pick up in the second half of the year.

The death of George Floyd, a black man who died on Memorial Day after he was pinned down by a white Minnesota police officer, has sparked outrage and protests in Minneapolis, across the United States and across the world. Second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter charges have been filed against Derek Chauvin, the ex-officer who prosecutors say held his knee on Floyd's neck for nearly nine minutes. The three other officers have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting manslaughter. All four officers have been fired. Governors in 32 states and Washington, D.C., have activated more than 32,400 members of the National Guard.
