  1. Thank you for answering to my questions. Well, i see that you are not that active on GFX project, ok, i see you trying to do something, but it's not enough for Moderator.. You got so many Contra, and also you get angry for our opinions about your request, my opinion about your request is to improve more and atleast join another project to see that you really want to be in our STAFF team. How you talked with my colleagues is not gonna forgive you, you could easily just watch their opinion instead of replying. Anyway, back to request, i would like you to improve more, i know you don't have Requests to do your job, etc. but if you see it's not working, then why don't you join another project to keep and maintain your activity? I don't get it.. You can't join us only with 1 project that you are not that much active... I liked your answers, but that's not enough, for me you have Contra, i am sorry. Try to improve more and join another project to show interest and also that you really want to be part of our STAFF team. Good luck!
  2. Hello there! Thank you for making request for Moderator, as my 2 colleagues said, you do not have any activity and also you don't comply with the requirements. I think there is no need to wait for others people that are in Staff to say their opinion because it will be the same like the colleagues replied up. You have 43 posts, required ( 200 posts(done based on proper content) proper content stands for posts made inside projects categories not at Fun & Entertainment) And the other thing i saw is that you are not in any of the projects, before apply for Moderator make sure to join some projects and do some activity there and come back with a new request. Rejected & topic closed!

  9. Source: Click You're in a formal meeting with the Queen and the inescapable sound of your phone rings out. What do you do? One former Labour cabinet minister, Clare Short, once found herself in this unfortunate scenario. As the story is commonly told by MPs, Ms Short arrived late to a meeting of the Privy Council when her phone went off as proceedings began. She frantically rummaged through her handbag but, to her embarrassment, was unable to find the phone before the ringtone stopped and the room fell silent. "Oh dear, I hope it wasn't anyone important," the Queen said, according to politicians present. The story was told by Labour's shadow home secretary and Privy Council member Yvette Cooper, as MPs gathered in Parliament for a second consecutive day of special tributes to the Queen. MPs and peers from all sides, dressed in dark clothing, having been sharing memories of their encounters with the Queen, who died aged 96 on Thursday. They took part in a rare Saturday sitting to pay their respects. Ms Cooper said her anecdote showed the Queen had a "sense of mischief", a quality that others have reflected on in their recollections of the late monarch. Many of these accounts have focused on the Queen's dry sense of humour and her ability to comfort them in nerve-jangling moments of high ceremony, under the watchful eyes of officialdom. Conservative former transport secretary Grant Shapps told MPs how the Queen had spared his blushes after an awkward moment during his Privy Council swearing-in ceremony. The Privy Council is a formal body, mainly made up of senior politicians, which advises the Queen. Mr Shapps said he did not understand the meaning of the phrase "brush her hand" as part of the ceremonial oath-taking. Fifth in the line to become a privy counsellor, he said he had hoped to watch what other ministers were doing but his vision was blocked, leaving him unable to do so. He said: "She [the Queen] stretched out her bare ungloved right hand and to my surprise moved it towards my face, it moved towards my lips. I pursed my lips. It's stuck!" As he made a suction noise with his lips, Mr Shapps said the Queen suddenly "her hand pulled away". The former minister said he wanted the ground to "swallow me whole" but, performing an impression of the Queen, he said: "She looked me right in the eyes with those wonderful sparkling eyes, and as though to acknowledge what had happened and also to forgive me in one turn, she said: 'yes'." Conservative MP Robert Halfon also spoke about the Privy Council in his speech, recalling his disbelief at becoming a member of the monarch's advisory body. When he became deputy chairman of the Conservative Party in 2015, "no-one had informed me that I would be made a Privy Counsellor", Mr Halfon said. "My constituency office got a call saying I needed to attend the palace and I replied to my caseworker, 'There's just a nutter on the phone, just ignore it'," Mr Halfon said. "This happened on two or three telephone calls." He said it was only when a ministerial car came to pick him up and take him to Buckingham Palace that he "realised, sadly, that I would've bought a nicer suit had I known". Mr Halfon, who was born with a form of cerebral palsy, said he "was not able to kneel because of my legs, but Her Majesty did not bat an eyelid". Admissions of nervousness before appointments with the Queen was a common theme and one evoked by Sir John Redwood, a minister in former Prime Minister John Major's government. He said the Queen was understanding that everyone was "terrified" at official events, and sought to ease them. In public events, Sir John said, "the Queen always relaxed people and showed them there was no right way, because she was there for the people, she was there for the institution, she was there for the event, and that is what we can learn from". Meanwhile in the House of Lords - where peers also sat for Saturday tributes to the monarch - there was no shortage of light-hearted tales about the Queen either. Her propensity for levity was bought up by Lord Robertson, who recalled the day he brought the then crown prince of Saudi Arabia to meet the Queen at her Balmoral estate in Scotland. Defence secretary at the time, Lord Robertson said the Saudi crown prince had "accepted an offer from her to see the estate". "But boy, was he astounded coming from a country which bans women from driving, to find the Queen behind the wheel of the Land Rover and then roaring off without the rest of the party." When they returned to Balmoral Castle, the Queen looked at Lord Robertson and said: "I think he thought I was driving too fast." "So I said nothing at all," Lord Robertson said. He continued: "Then she said, 'I also think he thought I was lost'. So I bravely said, 'You can't get lost, you're the Queen, and where you are is where you're supposed to be'. She frowned at me and then said emphatically: 'Quite right', and marched away." Another colourful anecdote came from the Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, who revealed how he once "healed" the late Queen's Bentley after it refused to start. The archbishop recounted how the monarch's vehicle eventually fired up after he performed "a large sign of the cross" over it, earning royal praise. "The Queen gets in and goes back to Sandringham. I follow in another car," he said. "When I arrive at Sandringham as I come into lunch, the Queen with a beaming smile says 'Ah, bishop. It's the bishop. He healed my car'." The cleric added: "Two years later when I was greeting her at the west front of Chelmsford Cathedral just as a very grand service was about to start... she took me to one side and said 'Bishop, nice to see you again. I think the car's all right today, but if I have any problems I will know where to come'." Conservative peer Baroness Dido Harding used her speech to highlight the Queen's love of horse racing. Baroness Harding said as a teenager, she was at a drinks party with her grandfather when she met the Queen. "As the Queen approached, my grandfather elbowed me in the ribs and whispered, 'Ask her who's going to win the Derby tomorrow'," Baroness Harding said. "When I did, everything changed, her whole face lit up and for the next few minutes I wasn't an awkward nervous teenager talking to the Queen, I was an enthusiastic young amateur jockey talking to quite possibly racing's biggest fan. "And not only did she put me at my ease, she also tipped the winner."
  10. Source: CLICK More than 1.1 million sea turtles have been illegally killed in the past 30 years, according to new data. Despite laws to protect them, scientists at Arizona State University estimate that about 44,000 turtles across 65 countries were illegally killed and exploited every year over the past decade. Jesse Senko, an assistant research professor at Arizona State University and one of the lead authors of the study, said: “The numbers are really high and almost certainly underrepresented by several orders of magnitude because it’s just very hard to assess any type of illegal activity.” Sea turtles are hunted for food, for use in traditional medicine and to be sold as artefacts, decor or jewellery. Turtle hunting and trafficking is part of a global illegal wildlife market worth as much as $23bn (£20bn) a year, according to the UN. To establish the magnitude of illegal turtle hunting, researchers examined more than 209 different peer-reviewed journal articles, archived media reports, questionnaires and conservation organisation reports. They looked at all whole turtles or turtle byproducts – heads, tails, shells – that were illegally killed, including those that had then been trafficked or attempted to be trafficked across borders. The study identified nearly 43,000 turtles as being trafficked between 1990 and 2010, but this is probably a huge underestimate, Senko said. South-east Asia and Madagascar are hotspots for sea turtle hunting, according to the report, published in the journal Global Change Biology. Vietnam is where most illegal sea turtle trafficking starts, and China and Japan are the most popular markets for illegal turtle products, it found. Developing countries would continue to supply the illegal turtles as long as higher-income countries continued to demand them as luxury goods, Senko said. “In several cultures, having a stuffed turtle in your house can be a status symbol,” he said. About 95% of the poached turtles come from two main species: green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles. “The green turtle is considered the most delicious – it’s the one that has the meat, that pulp, people most like to eat,” said Roderic Mast, president of the Oceanic Society, who was not involved in the study. The hawksbill is prized for its beautiful shell, he said. These species are listed as endangered and critically endangered respectively, but, in the areas they are being targeted, said Senko, there were relatively large and stable populations. This means the effect of illegal trafficking is somewhat contained. Another more positive finding of the report is its calculation that illegal exploitation of sea turtles has declined by 28% over the past 10 years. The study’s researchers believe the decline is due to increased legal protection. “I’m happy to see that it has diminished. But I don’t expect the harvest of turtles to ever entirely go away,” said Mast. This new data on which turtles are being targeted and where could help pave the way for determining how conservationists and legislators should act to protect sea turtle populations in the future, according to Senko. “We really need to look at those socioeconomic and cultural drivers behind the illegal take,” he said. “Because as long as there’s demand from wealthier countries, poorer countries are going to fill that with the supply of turtles.”
Așa funcționează totalitarismul”, a declarat Volkov. Rusia e victima Putinismului”, a concluzionat politicianul.

  14. There are are plenty of games on the PC that let you drive a tank, but few of them these days aspire to simulator-level realism. They might have simulation elements, or use real life as a model, but ultimately most of the best games where you're driving a tank are either a decade old or ultimately beholden to multiplayer balance. Gunner, HEAT, PC!, or GHPC, wants to change that. It's an indie by a new studio called Radian Simulations. Focused on the cold war era, GHPC uses the popular theoretical battleground of Germany as its kickoff point. It's the kind of game that includes the dramatic tagline "DETAILED FIRE CONTROL SYSTEMS" in the trailer. I figure you now know whether you're interested, like me, or would like to move on. GHPC's aim is to provide a simulator experience that's still fairly accessible and fun, something I'd describe as similar to the combat simulators of the late 90s and early 2000s. It'll include campaigns, randomized skirmishes, and cooperative multiplayer. Players will control armored vehicles like tanks and APCs, but there'll also be AI-controlled forces of other kinds. "It's a weird time for fans of modern tank combat games," say the developers. "The straight-shooting simulator titles from the turn of the millennium are no more. As tank nerds, we need a game that gets right to the good stuff - modern tanks, realistic system and damage models, and a focus on fun over all." GHPC touts systems like its projectile flight modeling and an armor penetration model that includes hit effects like armor spalling, fragmentation, and blast overpressure, as well as their effects on the crew. "A vehicle is only knocked out when injury, destruction, or conflagration force it to become combat-ineffective," say the devs. As of now and its launch into Early Access, GHPC has a pretty basic campaign and a semi-random skirmish mission mode. There are just over a dozen playable units right now, complete with authentic gunnery optics and fire control, from IFVs and tanks to anti-tank missile emplacements. You can find Gunner, HEAT, PC! on Steam(opens in new tab) for $30, 10% off until September 13. Source: CLICK
  15. Source: CLICK The developer of a Google Chrome ad blocker extension has conceded that there isn’t “much point” to their latest release, as several key features have had to be removed. Raymond Hill, the brains behind the popular uBlock Origin Chrome extension, made the comment in his commit of the new version(opens in new tab) on GitHub, in reference to Google’s upcoming shift to its Manifest v3 (MV3) API. Hill cited the move to withhold "broad read/modify data permissions” from Chrome developers under MV3 as the “limiting factor” in the development of the new version of the extension, recommending that users continue to use the MV2 extension if they want to benefit from uBlock Origin’s current range of features. Under development since 2018, Google’s new MV3 API is said to protect users’ security and privacy, as well as offering a material performance boost. The removal of key read and modify data permissions relied on by most Chromium-based privacy and ad blocking tools may seem like a positive step in this direction, but Chrome users may find privacy tools harder to find and to use in the future. They may instead look to VPN services and the best VPN routers to be safe online, or simply another web browser. Since January, Google has already prohibited the creation of new MV2 extensions, but by January 2023, developers will be unable to update extensions on the old API, and they will cease to run entirely on consumer browsers. From then on, Google Chrome ad blocking extension users may come across more informational pop-ups on websites asking them to accept cookies before being allowed to continue browsing, and be redirected away from websites without asking more often. As a result, it’s uncertain whether there’ll be much of a future for the Chrome versions of ad blockers and privacy tools in the new year.
  16. Source: CLICK Intel’s Z690 platform introduced DDR5 to the desktop market, but initial DDR5 modules were quite expensive and did not quite live up to expectations regarding performance. But as high-speed DDR5 kits get cheaper, the new type of memory gets more attractive, which is why we expected most of Intel’s Z790-based platforms to feature DDR5 rather than DDR4. We were wrong. MSI is prepping a host of Z790-based motherboards with good-old DDR4 memory. MSI readies Z790 Edge DDR4, Z790 Tomahawk DDR4, and Z790 Pro DDR4 motherboards that will combine Intel’s newest chipset and DDR4 memory, according to manuals published by Overclock.net(opens in new tab) (and discovered by momomo_us(opens in new tab)). These main boards will support up to DDR4-5333+ memory modules in one DIMM per channel configuration and up to DDR4-4400+ sticks in two DIMMs per channel setup. However, a lot will depend on CPU capabilities and processor cooling systems. MSI’s Edge, Tomahawk, and Pro motherboards are not precisely the company’s top-of-the-range offerings. So it raises the question of whether they will be good enough to squeeze all the juices out of Intel’s 13th Generation Core Raptor Lake processors as far as overclocking is concerned. One of the key features of unlocked Raptor Lake CPUs will be their 350W mode enabling ultimate turbo frequencies and therefore requiring an advanced voltage regulating module to deliver immaculate power to the CPU and a sophisticated cooling system both for the CPU and its VRM. Budget motherboards are pretty good these days but are not as good as flagship models with their expensive VRMs and advanced cooling systems for power circuitry. Using good-old DDR4 with an all-new Intel platform sounds like a good idea, especially if you own those high-end DDR4-5333+ kits. With such memory, you are going to get outstanding out-of-box performance. But with cheaper motherboards, you may not be able to take full advantage of one of Raptor Lake’s key features on the desktop; whether the trade-off is worth something, everyone has to decide for themselves.

The official announcement was made at 18.30 (20.30 in Bucharest). British sources claim the Queen died around 12:00 p.m. The British Prime Minister was announced by Cabinet Secretary Simon Case. After the statement in Downing Street, Truss spoke to King Charles III and is also expected to chair a meeting of ministers at 9pm (11pm in Bucharest). Queen Elizabeth II died on Thursday at the age of 96, after 70 years of reign. Upon the Queen's death, Prince Charles immediately became the new monarch. No official details have been released about what will happen in the coming days, but it is anticipated that the Queen will be given a full state funeral, as is traditional to mark the death of a monarch. A period of national mourning has begun, which will last until the funeral, which is expected to take place 10 days after the Queen's death. Her body will be moved to Buckingham Palace, where it will likely remain for five days. The government is expected not to announce other matters unless they are urgent to allow attention to be fully focused on the Queen. Major sporting events, including football and cricket matches, are likely to be postponed as a mark of respect. The king will sign off on the final plans in the coming days.
