  1. Muscle cars have always been about value. They offer lots of power and great performance in otherwise simple packages. With the market making a move toward efficiency as of late though, many of the old-school high-powered performance coupes and sedans have gone away, while others have been moved upmarket and now have much higher price tags than what you’d expect from a traditional muscle car. Still, buyers in search of an affordable burnout machine should fear not, as there as still a number of great options on the market today, although not all of them come with the “American muscle car” pedigree. Below we’ve outlined six modern muscle cars available for under $45,000 here in 2019. The Mustang might be the original muscle car and as such, the version on sale today stays true to the blueprint, offering aggressive styling, great performance, and V8 power. Under the hood of the Mustang GT is a 5.0-liter V8 pumping out a tire-screeching 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-to-60 mph time of under 4.0 seconds. Transmission options consist of either a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic. Opt for the manual and you get a trick rev-matching feature. Go for the automatic and you get both paddle shifters and a sport mode. Given that the Ford F, -0.06% Mustang GT carries a starting price of just over $36,000, it’s easy to get a fast, powerful Mustang GT while working with a budget of $45,000. We’d probably start with the GT Premium Fastback, which carries a price tag of around $40,000 and comes with heated and cooled leather seats, selectable drive modes, a 9-speaker audio system, and the latest version of Ford’s SYNC infotainment system, then add on the $4,000 GT Performance package, which comes with 19-in wheels, Brembo brakes, a rear spoiler, and a variety of upgraded steering and suspension components underneath. Also worth mentioning — the Mustang comes with a variety of modern active safety features, good outward visibility and a highly usable trunk, making it the most livable out of the three 2-door American coupes on this list. Like the Mustang, it’s possible to get a well-equipped, V8-powered Camaro for under $45,000. First and foremost though, those wanting to save more can opt for a V6-powered Camaro. Slotted between the Camaro’s available turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and the potent V8-powered Camaro SS, Chevrolet offers the Camaro with a 3.6-liter V6 putting out 335 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque, good enough for a 0-to-60 mph time of 5 seconds flat. For those wanting a true muscle car feeling though, it’s hard to argue against the SS. Chevrolet fits the Camaro SS with a 6.2-liter V8 putting out 455 hp and 455 lb-ft of torque, which reduces the Camaro’s 0-to-60 mph time to 4.0 seconds. The Camaro SS is offered in both 1SS and 2SS trims, with the 2SS adding heated and ventilated power seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a Bose audio system, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and forward-collision warning among a variety of other things. Pricing for the 1SS with a manual transmission starts at about $39,000, while an automatic-equipped 2SS comes in at about $46,000, before adding any of the available performance or accessories packages. The Challenger is ancient. Having first gone on sale for the 2008 model year, the Challenger is now in its 12th year of production without a redesign, and no second-generation model is in sight. Dodge has updated the vehicle to a degree over the years and 2019 models are available with modern features like an 8.4-in infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and a few desirable active safety features like blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, and rear parking sensors. While massively-powerful Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye, and Demon variants have been offered over the years, buyers with $45k to spend on a Challenger should look to an R/T Scat Pack model. The Challenger R/T comes with a 6.4-liter V8 making a whopping 485 hp and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. 0-to-60 mph comes in a brisk 3.9 seconds. Pricing for the Challenger R/T Scat Pack starts at about $38,000 with a manual transmission, leaving room for options like the available adaptive damping suspension, red brake calipers, upgraded seats, or one of a few different available appearance packages. 2019 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack The Charger is essentially the same vehicle as the Challenger, except for the fact that it has four doors instead of two. In that case, it exists almost solely to serve as a counterpoint to the excuse “I can’t buy a muscle car because I have kids.” With a roomy, easily-accessed back seat, the Charger says otherwise. Pricing stays similar to that of the Challenger. Therefore, buyers looking for the muscle car experience from a practical 4-door sedan should look to the Charger R/T Scat Pack. The same engine as in the Challenger is offered here, although the 8-speed automatic is standard — no manual is available. With the Scat Pack’s 6.4-liter V8, the Charger goes from 0-to-60 mph in about 4.2 seconds. The new Genesis G70 makes this list because it’s a bargain luxury car with muscle car attributes. No, it doesn’t offer a V8 engine, but rather a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 putting out 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission (worth noting is that the G70 is available with a 6-speed manual when equipped with its base engine). Rear-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is optional. We’re impressed by the G70’s exceptional balance and superb handling. It offers a plush cabin with intuitive controls, along with great crash performance, and an exceptional 5-year/60,000-mile basic warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. While the G70 carries a low base price of around $35,000, opting for the turbocharged V6 sees the price jump to just a few dollars shy of $45k. Kia released the Stinger almost as a way of taunting both old-school American muscle car manufacturers and the European luxury car makers. As Kia and Hyundai HYMTF, -3.23% are sister companies, the Stinger is built on the same platform as the new Genesis G70. The two vehicles also share powertrains, meaning that you can get a Stinger with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 making 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque paired with either RWD or AWD. While the Stinger is offered in non-GT guise with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine offered in the G70, no manual transmission is offered. A base Stinger GT comes in at around $40,000 and tops out at about $54,000 when fully loaded, leaving buyers with a few different options at around the $45,000 price point. While the Stinger doesn’t come with a V8, it’s the horsepower-to-price tag ratio that has us calling Kia’s new sports sedan a modern muscle car.
  2. The rise of fake news in the American po[CENSORED]r consciousness is one of the remarkable growth stories in recent years—a dizzying climb to make any Silicon Valley unicorn jealous. Just a few years ago, the phrase was meaningless. Today, according to a new Pew Research Center study, Americans rate it as a larger problem than racism, climate change, or terrorism. Put politics in perspective. Subscribe to Politics & Policy Daily for the biggest stories and most intriguing ideas across the political landscape. But remarkable though that may seem, it’s not actually what’s most interesting about the study. Pew finds that Americans have deeply divergent views about fake news and different responses to it, which suggest that the emphasis on misinformation might actually run the risk of making people, especially conservatives, less well informed. More than making people believe false things, the rise of fake news is making it harder for people to see the truth. Pew doesn’t define what it calls “made-up news,” which is a reasonable choice in the context of a poll, but matters a great deal in interpreting it. The term has come to mean different things to different people. It was coined to describe deliberately false articles created by Potemkin news sites and spread on social media. But in a deliberate effort to muddy the waters, President Donald Trump began labeling news coverage that was unfavorable to him “fake news.” (Indeed, Pew finds that Americans blame politicians and their aides, more than the press, activist groups, or foreign actors, for the problem of made-up news.) Now when Trump’s supporters refer to “fake news,” they often seem to mean mainstream news they dislike, whereas when others do so, they mean bogus information spread by fringe actors. Read: Why bogus news stories are so hard to stop If Pew’s data are taken to mean that people find this latter category more dangerous than climate change, that is almost certainly an overreaction. As the political scientist Brendan Nyhan wrote in February, summarizing the state of research in the field: Relatively few people consumed this form of content directly during the 2016 campaign, and even fewer did so before the 2018 election. Fake news consumption is concentrated among a narrow subset of Americans with the most conservative news diets. And, most notably, no credible evidence exists that exposure to fake news changed the outcome of the 2016 election. Pew finds a significant gap between Democrats’ and Republicans’ views on the seriousness of the problem with made-up news, though:
  3. Vice President Mike Pence in Scottsdale on Oct. 3, 2019. Photo by Jerod MacDonald-Evoy | Arizona Mirror Vice President Mike Pence said it was in America’s best interest for foreign governments to launch investigations into his and President Donald Trump’s political rivals. Doing so would “drain the swamp,” as Trump promised to do, Pence said while in Scottsdale Thursday. “I think it’s worth looking into (Biden). The president made it very clear that other nations should look into it, as well,” he said as U.S. Sen. Martha McSally and Gov. Doug Ducey stood by his side during an impromptu press conference after a business roundtable. Pence’s comments came hours after Trump openly called on China to investigate his chief Democratic rival in next year’s election, former Vice President Joe Biden. Trump on Thursday morning said that China “should start an investigation into” former Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, over the latter’s involvement in an investment fund that raised money in China. “I think the American people have a right to know if the vice president of the United States, or his family, profited from his position as vice president during the last administration. That’s not looking backwards,” Pence said. Pence added that it is in America’s best interest for foreign governments like China and Ukraine, which Trump has also asked to investigate the Bidens, to conduct such investigations. Trump has thrust the U.S. into a tense trade war with China, and his comments Thursday came amid questions about the progress of negotiations with Beijing on a trade agreement. “I have a lot of options on China, but if they don’t do what we want, we have tremendous, tremendous power,” Trump said moments before making his call for China to investigate Biden and his son. Trump’s interaction with Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, has already sparked a whistleblower complaint that the Intelligence Community Inspector General has determined is both “credible” and an “urgent concern.” The whistleblower alleged that Trump was abusing the power of his office by withholding military aid for Ukraine in exchange for that country investigating Biden, who is a front-runner for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. That complaint, and the Trump administration’s subsequent refusal to provide a copy to Congress as required by law, is the central focus of an impeachment inquiry that House Democrats launched late last month. Pence also told reporters in Scottsdale that he found nothing wrong with Trump’s phone call with Zelenskiy, in which the president told his Ukrainian counterpart he needed “a favor” in return for selling that country the anti-tank missiles it uses to defend its eastern border from Russian aggression. “Anyone who looks at the transcript will see that the president was raising issues that were appropriate, that were of genuine interest of the American people,” Pence said. “There was no quid pro quo, there was no pressure.” Pence was referring to a rough transcript of the phone call that the White House released on Sept. 25. While Trump is calling for foreign governments to investigate Hunter Biden’s business dealings while his father was vice president, his own children are under scrutiny for their business activities since he became president. Trump properties have received over $18 million since Trump was elected, according to OpenSecrets.org. McSally for Senate Pence also spoke about McSally, who was appointed to the U.S. Senate in January, only two months after she lost a close election to Kyrsten Sinema, to fill the seat that the late John McCain won in 2014. Pence said McSally has his and Trump’s “full support,” and they plan to be “by her side” next year during the election. The main focus of the visit Pence said was to drum up support for the United States Mexico Canada Agreement, commonly referred to as the USMCA. Pence is traveling with Ducey and McSally to Tucson Thursday afternoon to rally support for the measure, which has been stalled in Congress amid complaints from Demcorats. “We believe the time has come for Congress to put aside politics and pass the USMCA,” Pence said.

  6. President Michel Aoun stressed that "the right to demonstrate does not mean the right to insult, and the freedom of the media does not mean the freedom to launch rumors tendentious and harmful to the homeland," stressing that "the time today is not to bid, but to solve problems, especially economic and the first of which complete the budget." "I am the president of the state and I represent the dignity of the Lebanese and the prestige of the state," Aoun said at the start of a cabinet meeting in Baabda. He stressed the need to discuss the issue of dealing with the Lebanese pound in accordance with the laws and regulations in force. He called on the President of the Republic to exercise his powers, and if he made a mistake, he should be held accountable according to legal rules and regulations, asking the ministers to assume their responsibilities and defend the government and explain what they are doing to the citizens to be aware and do not listen to the rumors launched from here and there. He stressed that "the laws were developed for application and not for review only." On the other hand, the Council of Ministers congratulated President Aoun on the approval of the General Assembly of the United Nations for the establishment of the Academy of Human Rights to meet and dialogue.
  7. Vine-star-turned-Youtuber Logan Paul has shown over the years that he is not shy about sharing his thoughts. On a recent episode of Jonathan Cheban’s podcast, Foodgod: OMFG, Logan decided to tell everyone that he would like to date Kendall Jenner. “Do I have a chance with Kendall Jenner?” Paul asked Cheban, who is a well-known family friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family. Cheban told Paul the reality of the situation, which is that Jenner values her privacy while Paul tends to do the opposite. “I think you’re too out there and Kendall is very low-key with the people she dates and they’re low-key,” Cheban said. “If you did date Kendall, the next day you would skydive off the Empire State Building. That wouldn’t work for her.” Paul defended himself by sharing that his real-life self is “not the person you see on the internet.” He also added that he is thinking about getting with Jenner because he is “ready for the high-profile relationship.

  9. New York (CNN Business)Stocks had a volatile session Friday, as investors responded to mixed economic data and reports that the White House is weighing whether to limit investment flows into China. The timing of the move surprised investors, because Trump surrogates in recent days had painted a more optimistic picture of reaching a deal with China ahead of high-level discussions early next month. The Dow (INDU) turned negative following Bloomberg's report of the possible limitations of US investor money into China. Stocks closed lower for both the day and the week. The Dow finished 77 points, or 0.2% lower, while the S&P 500 (SPX) closed down 0.5%. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP) ended 1.1% lower, making it the biggest loser of the major indexes. It was the worst week for the Nasdaq since the beginning of August. "Everyone is confused what is happening right now before these high-level talks," Edward Moya, a senior analysts at Oanda told CNN. "It's a blind threat and we don't actually know when this will manifest." Representatives from Treasury, the US Trade Representative Office and the Securities and Exchange Commission did not immediately respond to comment. "The trade war has just transformed its narrative altogether and it has turned into insanity," wrote Naeem Aslam, chief market analyst at ThinkMarkets FX in a note. "The recent news about Trump administration possibly stopping US investors to invest in China has brought the biggest nightmare of the year. If this becomes a reality, the retaliation action by China is going to be far more significant." US stocks finished modestly lower on Thursday, while the market remained relatively agnostic towards the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump. In economic data, the US personal consumption expenditure index, which is the Federal Reserve's preferred measure of inflation, matched expectations Friday. The core PCE index grew 1.8% August versus a year ago, in line with forecasts and close to the Fed's 2% inflation target. This supports the argument that no further interest rate cuts are necessary to meet the inflation target, which could be seen as a negative by the stock market. Personal income grew by 0.4% in August, also in line with expectations. Durable goods orders looked less rosy, dropping 1% in August and undercutting expectations, reflecting a weakened manufacturing sector in the United States. The University of Michigan's consumer sentiment index show a slight improvement in September. The index came in at 93.2, compared with 92 expected. In August, the sentiment measure found last month that more people are beginning to worry about the trade war, leading to the largest monthly drop since December 2012. Oil prices slide Oil prices fell Friday on some signs that stability could return to the Middle East. Saudi Arabia and Yemen agreed to a partial cease-fire Friday, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. Iran's release of a British tanker has also eased tensions. US oil prices settled 0.9% lower at $55.91 a barrel, while Brent Crude, the international benchmark, settled 1.3% lower at $61.91 a barrel. Two weeks ago, Saudi oil production facilities were attacked, which sent oil prices soaring the most in a decade. While the attack was claimed by Yemen's Houthi rebels, various Western nations blamed Iran. Rouhani denied his country's involvement in the attack at a press conference in New York City Friday morning, asking the accusers to show evidence. A deceleration in China's economy continues to weigh on oil prices too. Nevertheless, "we could be near a key bottom for oil prices," said Edward Moya, senior market analyst for Oanda, in a note, adding that tensions could always heighten again, which push prices higher at a moments notice.

The book is already experiencing huge demand, and it will officially launch at the Openbook Festival in Cape Town on Saturday 7 September at the Fugard Theatre. Angry residents call on Sunfoil to clean up their Dusi mess. Social media is awash with images of dead fish along the banks of the Msunduzi river that runs between Pietermaritzburg and Durban thanks to an oil spill at a Sunfoil group factory. Residents, in particular paddlers, were warned to stay off the river this week after an oil spill at a Willowton factory poisoned the water. In the days that followed social media users from the midlands have been sharing images of scores of dead fish floating down river and washing up on the banks. On Tuesday, roughly 1600 cubic metres (1.6 million litres) of fatty oils and caustic soda poured out of the Pietermaritzburg factory into the Msunduzi River. Users have tagged Sunfoil in images of the fallout from the ecological disaster and many have demanded the Willowton group do more to aid the cleanup operations. 11. ‘I come from the days when females were — pardon the phrase — the bitch on the back’ Heather Thomas says she's seen interest in motorcycling explode amongst women since she started riding 37 years ago. (Heather Thomas) Heather Thomas has been riding motorcycles for nearly four decades. She's ridden across Canada, throughout the United States and Australia. Her daughter rides a motorcycle. In recent years, she's witnessed an influx of women learning to ride. "It's exploded," Thomas said. "I know so many [women] that ride that just a few years ago I may have known them, but they didn't ride motorcycles. Now they do." That's a different picture from what Thomas said she experienced when she first got on a motorcycle to avoid the long trip on the school bus from her farm home in Castor, Alta., east of Red Deer. "I come from the days when females were — pardon the phrase — the bitch on the back," Thomas said. "I come from that background, so you learned to deal with that. It's changed significantly, it's not like that anymore." Marketing to women The industry is also taking notice of the po[CENSORED]rity of motorcycling among women. As the annual motorcycle and ATV show rolls into Edmonton Friday, the events kick-off with the She Rides event aimed at women. Kawasaki launched the event five years ago as part of its plan to prioritize marketing to women. "Within the last 10 years it's been the largest growing segment within the motorcycle industry," said Brad Goodbody, manager of marketing. "Previously, the female riders were few and far between, but in the past 10 years or so there's been a real movement out there." A survey released in November 2018 by the Motorcycle Industry Council in the United States found one in five motorcyclists are women, nearly double the percentage in 2009. Johanna Poultney started The Litas, a women's motorcycle group, in Edmonton in 2015. (Andy Dawson) "Companies like Kawasaki are providing bikes into the Canadian market that have a lower seat height, they're lighter-weight, not as big engines," Goodbody said. "That makes it more approachable for all riders, but especially for women who tend to have a bit of a shorter inseam." 'Not taking a back seat': Women on motorbikes leads to surge in riders Thomas said she's also noticed in recent years companies have worked at providing a broader range of styles that might better appeal to women. Thomas has ridden her motorcycle throughout Canada, the U.S. and Australia. (Heather Thomas) "Even the coloured apparel, from the pink helmets to Though she rides alongside many more women now, she said attitudes are sometimes hard to change. Two summer ago, she and a female friend were invited on a trip with a group of men to ride through B.C. "We got a whole bunch of old-school boys riding motorcycles there and as soon as we pulled up we got the eye rolls," Thomas said. But once the ride started their attitude shifted. "As we got into B.C. we pulled over for fuel and the guys that we were riding went, 'OK so you girls can ride motorcycles,' and went, 'Yeah, so keep up!'" she said. "You did run into that and you still run into that, but it's a different time and it's a different era." 'Women are standing out more' In 2015, when Johanna Poultney formed an Edmonton chapter of The Litas, an international group for female motorcyclists that started in Salt Lake City, she only knew two other women who rode motorcycles. Now, she said, she knows hundreds. "Women motorcyclists have gained a lot of publicity," Poultney said. "Women are standing out more, taking more photos riding. There's also a lot more events for women that ride that are showing up and all-women motorcycle rallies, so that has definitely helped encourage more women to get on motorcycles." This year Poultney studded up the tires on her Harley and took her first winter ice road trip, 1,000 kilometres through Wood Buffalo National Park. 'A pretty bold statement': Albertans embark on m.

  13. While much of the auto industry steers away from the evaporating sedan market in the U.S., Nissan is accelerating toward it with product reboots. Nissan this month unveiled a redesigned Versa subcompact — now bigger in proportion, bolder in design and bundled with technology typically found in more upscale vehicles. Meanwhile, a freshened Nissan Sentra compact is on the way that gives the car a design and powertrain makeover. Nissan's investments come as the small-car share of the U.S. light-vehicle market contracted to 12.4 percent last year from 18.2 percent in 2014. Americans are cold- shouldering sedans as they swoon over roomier, more versatile crossovers. "It's tough to have two small sedans in a contracting part of the industry," said Tyson Jominy, vice president of the Power Information Network at J.D. Power. "It continues to amaze us how far sedan sales can fall. Every year the contraction gets worse and worse." Nissan may follow other automakers in offering just one small sedan nameplate to satisfy U.S. demand, Jominy said. He predicts the larger Sentra survives any consolidation. "It has the better brand equity," Jominy said. But Scott Shirley, Nissan's vice president of marketing operations, dismissed speculation of a lineup consolidation and suggested reports of the small-sedan market's death are greatly exaggerated. CONTENT FROM JM&A GROUP 5 Ways to Combat Margin Compression Dealer profitability is being challenged. Now is the time to introduce new tools to your toolbox that can help combat margin compression. READ MORE "We still see in these segments 5 million car sales a year," Shirley told Automotive News. "We are redoubling our forecast; we are concentrating on delivering much better value, much stronger product to the market and a much better ownership experience." Silver lining Nissan executives contend lower-cost small cars remain relevant, especially for price-conscious first-time car buyers. They point to Nissan-commissioned research that shows 78 percent of American drivers who don't own a sedan will consider buying one soon. Meanwhile, 86 percent of buyers between ages 18 and 34 who don't own a sedan will consider buying one soon, according to the research. s The target customer for Nissan's compact cars "is far more aligned with sedans," Shirley said. With Ford and other U.S. auto brands cutting their losses and exiting the sedan market, Nissan sees an opportunity to grab a larger slice of the shrinking pie. The Sentra and Versa combined to account for 13.4 percent of the U.S. small-car market last year, up from 10.9 percent five years ago. Prices rise "Once the first players blinked and got out of the segment, there's far less incentive for the remaining players to do the same," Jominy said. As options in the sedan segment shrink, prices of the remaining models rise, boosting profitability. Midsize sedan prices have been increasing just as large sedan prices did, Jominy said. Nissan's decision to steer away from profit-sapping rental fleet sales — part of CEO Hiroto Saikawa's strategy to focus on margin over market share — could mean lower production of the company's small sedans. Rental fleet sales account for 20 to 25 percent of Sentra and Versa sales, according to estimates obtained by Automotive News. "We expect that we can grow the retail sales volume," Shirley said. "We also recognize that there is a profitable, rational level of fleet that can be done as well." Diverting fleet production volume to retail lots could be unrealistic, said Jeff Schuster, president of global forecasting for LMC Automotive. "It's all about maximizing margin for Nissan," Schuster said. "They're shifting away from playing the market share and volume game. If they're focused on margin, they are not going to want to do heavy incentives on that to sell more retail volume." ‘Rejigger the packages' Nissan can make "fleet models" more appealing to retail customers through design and content updates. "You can rejigger the packages and change the value proposition," Jominy said. "If the vehicle looks different than a vehicle that was associated with a very heavy fleet period, it's easier to sell to retail customers." Nissan dealer Tim Hill said he "would love for fleet to get cut down." Sentra and Versa sales account for about 18 percent of sales at Hill's Winter Haven, Fla., store. "There is sufficient retail business to support both models," he said.
  14. Sport 360 - Barcelona decided to retract the signing of the Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, the latter decides to stay at Paris St Germain against his will, as the two clubs failed to reach an agreement on the formula of the deal. Barcelona tried to sign Neymar for 150 million euros and 20 million euros paid by the player from his pocket, as well as agreeing to involve the trio Ivan Rakitic and Osman Dembele and Todibo in the deal, but the Parisians refused to do so. The newspaper "Sport" Spanish that Barcelona did not give up Neymar final, where he wants to sign him in 2020, both during the winter Mercato as he did with Brazilian Philippe Coutinho, or wait until the summer. Barcelona are in financial trouble after paying 120 million euros to sign Frenchman Antoine Griezmann and 70 million euros for Dutchman Franky de Jong. Coutinho had insisted on leaving Liverpool despite being banned in the summer of 2017, but the club was finally persuaded to sell him during the winter. He also did with Spain's Cesc Fabregas and Frenchman Thierry Henry.
  15. Imagine that a Lewis Hamilton-style driver is preparing to take part in one of the major Formula One prizes and discovers that his car has disappeared, which is what has already happened in the MotoGP and in the Spanish Aragon race. Spain's Hector Barbera is set to take part in Sunday's (8 April) World Championship. It is a favorite tour, especially since it was held in the Spanish province of Aragon, which he knows since childhood because his father was a former professional racer of this type of sport, and always took him with him to this arena. But the poor Barbera was denied participation for a very strange reason. Hours before the start of the training session on Sunday morning, he went to the garage, where his motorcar was, and was surprised that it disappeared. After a massive search by his Hungarian team Tuth, the motorcycle was not found, which brought the Aragonese police, who in turn carried out a sweep, which was also in vain. Even the next day no trace was found for this bike which was the Yamaha R6. Because the team has neither the material nor the logistics to offer an alternative bike to the rider, Hector Barbera has been denied the race, which will strongly affect his overall position. In the Australian Grand Prix, Hector Parreira entered a fourth, but then in Thailand, he finished in seventh place. After missing Sunday's race, he officially left the race for the top spot.
