If you’ve been playing Cyberpunk 2077 and have periodically glanced skyward, you may have noticed the narrow monorails that intertwine with Night City’s elevated freeway system. It appears that these rails connect up with partially-completed train stations, which suggests a transit system once existed and was at some point cut from the open-world game. As spotted by NME, Redditor u/Sybekul posted a clip from Cyberpunk 2077 showing V high above the city on the unused monorail lines. In the clip, V rounds a bend on the track to the platform of a Night City Area Rapid Transit (NCART) station and goes inside through a working door. Inside, there’s some rudimentary architecture, but the space is clearly unfinished – you can see through the ceiling, for example, and most of the floors and scene decorations are missing. Two years ago, another redditor posted a recreation of a Night City metro map they had caught a glimpse of in one of the early Cyberpunk 2077 trailers, which further suggests that a mass transit system was originally part of the plan for the game – perhaps instead of the more magical (and, let’s face it, more convenient) fast-travel system present in the game at launch. There’s nothing nefarious about cutting content during development – that’s the kind of thing that happens frequently over the course of a project. Some ideas just aren’t worth the amount of development time that would be necessary to fully implement them. While this is purely speculative, it’s also possible that the transit system will be used in the future. Prior to Cyberpunk 2077’s launch, CD Projekt said players could “expect more” DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 than the studio made for The Witcher 3 – and while the Hearts of Stone expansion stuck to areas familiar from the main campaign, the Blood and Wine DLC added the enormous new Toussaint zone.

When the McLaren Speedtail was announced two years ago, its limited 106-unit production makes it a desirable vehicle – if you have the means to spend over $2-million, of course. But not all who have money can just buy one off-the-shelf. All the 106 units have already been spoken for even before the production commenced, with each buyer carefully chosen by the automaker to prevent reselling schemes. Then again, we've seen one being sold for almost $5-million earlier this month. If that's too much, then you can try your luck and bid for one at RM Sotheby's. Gallery: McLaren Speedtail The Speedtail in question is number 36 of 106, which was ordered on July 20, 2020, and delivered new to McLaren of Philadelphia a few months after in time for fall. We're not sure who was the intended owner of this particular unit, but the RM Sotheby's listing says that it only has 30 miles when it was cataloged. It also comes with $170,000 worth of bespoke options, confirmed by McLaren Automotive Order Confirmation document that comes with the car. Aesthetics-wise, the Speedtail number 36 comes in MSO Heritage Atlantic Blue with white painted side stripes that match the wheels. The front wheel cover has a glossy carbon fiber finish. In contrast, the steering wheel has a satin carbon fiber finish with Alcantara trimming, while the three-seat cockpit is upholstered in vintage tan Aniline leather and finished with bespoke contrast stitching. Beyond the car, a suitcase that fits the front trunk and a lightweight gold-colored titanium tool set will go to the winning bid. The auction for this Speedtail is set to happen on January 22, 2021 at RM Sotheby's Arizona.

Dash cameras have been around for a while now, but to date, development of them has been a little...stagnant. They’ve been high-quality, but few go that extra mile to keep you safe. That is now finally changing, with Sylvania Roadsight dash cameras. Sylvania Roadsight dash cameras allow you to add modern, high-end features that keep you and your car safe, no matter the age of your vehicle That’s right, Sylvania Roadsight dash cameras can be installed in any car of any age or model, heightening security and providing peace of mind. That makes them a perfect gift, because you don’t have to research whether or not the camera will work well with the recipient’s car. There are a number of models in the Sylvania Roadsight dash camera line, but they all offer excellent features. You’ll get 1296p HD video quality, ensuring details are crystal clear no matter what happens. And, they offer wide-angle lenses too, which means you’ll be able to see as much as possible in recorded footage. Those features are already pretty stellar, but some of Sylvania’s Roadsight dash camera products take things to the next level. For example, you’ll get a 1440p resolution with a massive 140-degree wide-angle lens on the Stealth series, ensuring that footage is even clearer and more detailed. Of course, perhaps even better than the basic camera specs are the smart features. Sylvania Roadsight Stealth, for example, automatically powers on and off with your vehicle making it incredibly easy to use. Many of the cameras offer built-in GPS which can track your speed and route in the event you ever need it. Sylvania Roadsight dash cameras offer other features too. For example, they use loop recording, so if you run out of storage, it’ll only overwrite the oldest footage with the newest. The cameras will even keep your car safe and sound when you’re not driving. They have a built-in G-Sensor to detect when your car has been hit, and will start recording. You can then quickly and easily see that footage if you’re within Bluetooth range using the smartphone app. Ultimately, all these features deliver an experience designed to keep users safe, and that’s partly what helps make them such a great gift. In the end, you probably won’t realize you need footage from a dash camera until something happens. Whether you need it for insurance or safety purposes, it’s always a good idea to capture footage of your drive.

In case you don’t know, we’re rapidly approaching Runescape’s 20th anniversary. The pioneering MMO has led the industry in everything from regular content updates and free-to-play mechanics to educating players on account security, but Jagex’s crowning achievement remains its exuberant holiday events. Every year players can expect celebrations around Gielinor to mark Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, with holiday-themed quests, cosmetic items, and festive makeovers for different locations. Of all the holiday events in Runescape’s 20-year history, one cosmetic item stands out: the humble party hat. Despite having no use whatsoever, the party hat would go on to sell for billions of gold pieces between players, and eventually became so valuable that it exceeded the maximum amount of gold that could be traded in-game. We spoke with Runescape design director Mark Ogilvie, lead designer Dave Osborne, and product director Matt Casey to get the inside story behind Runescape’s most expensive item. Incredibly, this all started nearly 20 years ago, in 2001. Runescape’s designers at the time, Andrew and Paul Gower, wanted to surprise players at Christmas, so they logged into different servers around the world, went to po[CENSORED]r areas around Gielinor, and started dropping Christmas Crackers for players to pick up and open. Of course, Christmas crackers tend to contain a cruddy paper party hat, a lame joke, and some miniscule trinket, and Runescape’s were not too dissimilar; every cracker would contain a coloured party hat that players could wear, but there would also be a relatively valuable item like a silver bar or a gold ring. “The idea was that two people would pull a cracker together. Somebody would get a silly little party hat which they could put on their head, run around, and celebrate Christmas. The other person would get a valuable or semi-valuable item and they wouldn’t get a hat, but they would be happy because they got something of value,” Ogilvie explains. “The hat is the junk item. It was intended to be the item you didn’t want.” And so, most players tucked the party hat away in their in-game bank and forgot about it. “You have to remember, these are stat-less objects. You get no bonus whatsoever for wearing a party hat. Absolutely nothing. It’s just an object you wear on your head – it looks like a crappy hat. Our artists tried to redesign them many, many times and we were like ‘no, no, no, no, no – that is what they look like’. They’re supposed to look like some awful little tissue paper thing that barely fits on your head,” Ogilvie says. Not long after that 2001 Christmas event, Runescape’s designers started changing the way they handled holiday events. Compared to the game’s modern events, 2001’s Christmas cracker drops were pretty tame. By 2005, the Halloween event had changed from dropping pumpkins that players could eat to a Ghostbusters-themed dungeon with a unique weapon. The rewards got better, too – help Diango clear his workshop of ghosts and you got a full skeleton costume with an alternate jack-o’-lantern helmet. Most of these rewards were also released as non-tradable items, so they didn’t affect the game’s economy. For the first year, most players assumed the party hat might make a return some day, and the main factor steering their increase in value was an influx of new players, which naturally led to gold inflation. At this time, there was no Grand Exchange in Runescape, so all trading was done player-to-player, making it very difficult to get a consistent price on anything. Shortly after 2002’s Christmas event the penny dropped – the party hat was not coming back. The realisation that their supply was now finite followed, and drove their first significant price increases. It’s estimated that they reached a peak of around 15 million gold pieces in 2003, before temporarily tanking after players discovered an item duplication glitch. But it was only one year later that party hats recovered their value, returning to 15 million, and a further six months for them to double to 30 million. After two more months? 75 million. By early 2006, a single party hat could sell for 190 million gold pieces. The prices continued to rise, but they shot up dramatically in 2007 after the Grand Exchange was introduced to Runescape. This is a centralised marketplace that effectively makes the economy transparent. You can set up any trade you want, look for trades for specific items, or just window shop for things you can’t afford. It also made it very easy to find out how much items were worth, which only caused the prices for the rarest items to go through the roof. And as the game continued to expand, with new content and millions of new players bringing more gold into the economy, the party hat remained in finite supply.

Remember the Porsche 9RE fan rendering from three years back? Qendrim Thaqi pegged it to be a fictional 918 Spyder successor, but it looks like he isn't stopping at just that. Thaqi is now aiming to make his own real vehicle, and he sent us these renderings of his vision – the Illyrian Pure Sport. While these images are just renderings, Thaqi is actually on the quest to turn this vision into reality through his company Arrera Automobili. Gallery: Illyrian Pure Sport Renderings According to Thaqi, once this project becomes completed, it will become the first Albanian supercar with international standards. He's also pretty hands-on with this project – without a team of designers, we assume that he's the one making the designs. He also disclosed that he has engineering and body production teams with him. Design-wise, it's obvious that there are hints of Italian styling on the Illyrian Pure Sport's carbon fiber body, primarily at the front end with the vertical-oriented headlights. More naked carbon fiber parts are shown at the rear, surrounding the massive round tailpipes. Beyond the design, Thaqi has shed some light on the Illyrian Pure Sport's target specs as well. A small block 6.2-liter twin-turbo LT2 V8 is expected to power the supercar, sending 850 metric horsepower (625 kilowatts) to all four wheels via an 8-speed Tremec dual-clutch auto gearbox. Performance numbers are at 375 kilometers per hour (233 miles per hour) top speed, while the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint is touted at 2.7 seconds. At this point, Thaqi's Illyrian Pure Sport is still a vision. But, who knows what's in store several years from now? Remember that everything has to start at something. For Thaqi, this could be it.

Motherboards are one of the most important parts of any powerful gaming PC, as they essentially act as the central nervous system of your rig. Using a low-quality motherboard is risky and can result in underwhelming performance or even potential damage to your hardware; therefore, it’s important to make sure that you’re using a well-designed and dependable motherboard that you can rely on. For the last few years, one of the best motherboard lines available has been ASUS’ B450 series due to its high performance, robust durability, and the wide range of options to choose from. Recently, ASUS has refreshed this line with the new B450 II series of motherboards that are even better than their predecessors. Here’s a look at what’s new, as well as who each of the new B450 II motherboards are for. Back and better than ever The biggest difference between the refreshed B450 II line and the original B450 series is that B450 II motherboards have improved VRMs and cooling features. This means that B450 II motherboards are even better than their already-excellent predecessors at power delivery, power regulation, and keeping temperatures down during intense gaming sessions. Another advantage of B450 II boards is that they have ASUS’ BIOS FlashBack technology that allows you to install firmware upgrades without a CPU. This is incredibly convenient for users who are in the process of finishing their build. Additionally, Ryzen CPU support is broader than ever thanks to the high-capacity firmware chips used in B450 II boards. You can use first-gen, second-gen, and Ryzen 3000 series CPUs in the boards right out of the box, and with a simple BIOS update you can even use cutting-edge Ryzen 5000 series processors as well. If you make use of a lot of peripheral accessories, you’ll love that B450 II boards have a larger collection of USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, USB-C connectors, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 headers. There are more M.2 slots as well, which is perfect for people who enjoy the value of SSDs. Finally, B450 II motherboards come with a cool new feature called AI Noise Cancelling. This works to automatically clear up background noise from your microphone while you’re speaking, ensuring that your voice comes through crystal clear while in-game. Which B450 II motherboard is right for you? There are four different B450 II motherboards available to choose from, and while all of them are fantastic, each one offers some strengths and weaknesses that will appeal to different people. If you’re looking for the best possible performance that will be suitable for overclocking, look no further than the ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II. With a stellar physical design, the best VRM and cooling available, and plenty of ports, this motherboard is ideal for elite gaming rigs. People that need something in the mid-range should opt for the ASUS TUF Gaming B450-PLUS II. Its VRM and cooling features aren’t quite as powerful as what you’ll get with the ROG Strix, but it’s also more affordable while also featuring a durable and rugged design. Overall, this board is perfect for people who don’t mind settling for performance that’s great instead of top-notch if it means they can save some money. If you’re in need of a board with reduced dimensions, the ASUS TUF Gaming B450M-PLUS II will be right up your alley. Offering near-identical performance to the regular ASUS TUF Gaming B450 II but featuring a smaller overall footprint, this board is the best choice for compact mATX builds. Finally, budget-buyers will love the ASUS Prime B450M-A II. It has the least impressive performance out of all of the available B450 II motherboards, but it’s also the most affordable of the bunch – perfect for people who need to get a lot of bang for their buck. It’s important to note that the performance of this board is still quite good overall; it’s just not as good as the pricier motherboards in the B450 II series. For more details on each of the B450 II motherboards, we recommend checking out ASUS’ B450 II product page. It has all the information you’ll need about each of the boards. Additionally, people who are looking for the absolute best motherboards out there may prefer ASUS’ AM4 boards that are designed specifically with Ryzen 5000-series CPUs in mind.

If you're having trouble setting up and signing into your new Apple devices over this holiday weekend, you're not alone – Apple is currently experiencing an issue with the "iCloud Account & Sign In" part of its cloud system. That's as per the Apple System Status page early on the morning of December 26. "Some users are affected," reads the pop-up notification alert. "Users may be experiencing a problem with this service." We haven't heard anything official from Apple at the time of writing but according to AppleInsider the problem has been going on for a few hours now. If Apple does offer an update on the situation then we will add it here. It's not clear just how widespread the problem is, which devices are affected, or the sort of issues its causing. Users on Twitter have reported having difficulties with device activation and HomePod minis, which might be related. The waiting game One report on social media points to problems with activating an Apple Watch if you already have other Apple devices set up. The advice from Apple Support is to wait out the downtime and try again later. That seems just about the only option at this point – holding on until Apple is able to fix whatever's gone wrong. At the moment we don't have any estimate about when that will be, but it is the weekend, and the holidays. As well as the Apple Watch 6, you might have unwrapped a new iPhone 12 or perhaps an iPad Air 4 over the last day or so. It's been a busy few months for new Apple gear, so there are no doubt lots of users busy trying to set up their new devices. According to Apple's System Status page, there are no issues with other parts of the iCloud network, and it seems as though some users are able to activate their devices successfully. We'll update you as and when we know more.

There are hosts of incredible Witcher 3 mods out there, with tons of options to make the open-world game’s, well, open world look even more spectacular, increase Geralt’s carry weight for better loot scooping, and even turn the Witcher himself into Overwatch’s Genji. Then there are those that are just really good fun, and – in this case – fabulously festive. A new Witcher 3 mod lets the Continent’s waterfowl get into the seasonal spirit by giving them their own Christmassy caps. “GEESE HAVE SANTA HATS,” proclaims modder Valennia on the aptly named ‘Christmas Geese’ mod page. Created by Vale and Feregorn, the mod does exactly this; it plops a weeny little red and white santa hat atop the heads of the RPG game’s roaming waterfowl. Sure, it sounds simple, and it is – but get a look at the modder’s images, and you’ll quickly realise you can’t possibly hope to celebrate the holiday season in-game without these little festively decked out fowl running around. According to the modder, the creation was inspired by a previous mod that gave The Witcher 3’s chickens little tin foil helmets, and now, all geese get santa hats. “What better way to increase your immersion and celebrate holiday festivity?” the modder asks. Quite right. Take a look for yourself:

There are a number of reasons why we love the new Chevrolet Corvette C8 – performance, looks, luxury, and price. Well, at least the price here in the US. The mid-engined ‘Vette starts at a very reasonable $58,900 before options. But if you want to take home a C8 in Australia, you will have to pay a bit more, mate. According to the Australian website Wheels, when the C8 lands down under later next year, it will cost a hefty $149,990 AUD to start (or around $114,000 in USD at current conversion rates). And if you're willing to spend that much cash on a C8, you better get your order in quickly; reports say that GM will import just 200 examples of the mid-engined sports car per year. Gallery: 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray: Review Like the Camaro, GM had originally planned to sell the C8 under the Holden Special Vehicles designation (or HSV), and for a slightly more reasonable $129,990 AUD to start (or $99,000 USD). But since that brand is now defunct, the company will sell both cars under the General Motors Special Vehicles designation, which is one of the main reasons for the price hike. It's unclear how the price increase in Australia will affect options, but it's reasonable to assume that a well-spec'd C8 could set buyers back more than $200,000. Of course, they still get all the same performance credentials as we do here in the US: a 6.2-liter V8, 490 horsepower (365 kilowatts), a 0 to 60 mile-per-hour time of around 3.0 seconds, and a top track speed of 194 mph (312 kmh). Australian buyers will have to wait until later in 2021 to get their hands on the C8. But here in the US, customers can already take home the 2021 model.

Intel appears to be testing more and more of its future Rocket Lake processors, as more engineering samples have been spotted by @harukaze5719 on Twitter; including the flagship Core i9-11900K, a higher clocked i9-11900, and a new i7-11700. But perhaps the best news of all is that Intel has seemingly unlocked B560 to allow full overclocking support. In the past, Intel's lower-priced B series of motherboard chipsets were always locked to prevent users from overclocking their CPUs and memory. Instead, you had to hike up and grab a more-expensive Z series board to unlock those features. Fortunately, though, this looks to be changing with Rocket Lake and its associated 500 series chipset boards. Harukaze5719 was able to run a 4133MHz XMP profile on a B560 motherboard on a Core i9 11900K and Core i9-11900, both of which are engineering samples. This is the first time we've seen the top-end Core i9-11900K engineering sample in the wild. According to Harukaze579, this chip has a base frequency of 4.3ghz and a turbo clock of 4.8ghz. This is promising because if the core frequencies are this high on an engineering sample, we could be seeing some crazy high turbo clocks on the official SKUs. There also appears to be a new i9-11900 engineering sample floating around with a much higher frequency than the QVJ1 model we've been seeing. This model features a significantly higher base clock of 4 GHz (compared to 1.8Ghz) and a boost frequency of 4.5 GHz (before it was 3.8Ghz). Harukaze5719 also shared a Cinebench R20 score for another Rocket Lake SKU, the Core i7-11700, which has a 3.8Ghz base clock along with a 4.3Ghz boost. It scored a multi-threaded score of 4672 points and 529 points in the single-threaded benchmark. For comparison, the multi-threaded score managed to just beat the Ryzen 5 5600X barely by a few hundred points. However, the single-core score is much more favorable and the i7-11700 managed to beat Intel's flagship i9-10900K Comet Lake-S SKU. Next year will be very interesting for Intel. It looks like AMD's relentless competition is finally forcing Intel's hand in allowing its B series boards to overclock, which AMD has done on its B series boards since 1st Gen Ryzen. But, will backporting a new architecture to 14nm really pay off? We'll have to wait and see.

Microsoft is working on a new calendar feature for its collaboration software Teams that should make it much easier to synchronize with colleagues. According to the company’s product roadmap, a shared calendar will be created for each new Teams channel, where any upcoming meetings and events involving the participants of that specific channel will be displayed. “Teams automatically creates a new post, which will appear in the activity feed, when a channel meeting is created. Any user who has notifications turned off will see the event only when they open the channel calendar,” explained Microsoft. In theory, channel-specific calendars should prevent double-bookings and miscommunications over availability that may arise as a result of the inability to hold a quick conversation in-person. The new Teams calendar feature is currently under development, but is slated to arrive for both desktop and web clients in January. Microsoft Teams update The calendar upgrade arrives hot on the heels of a series of improvements to the Microsoft Teams platform, which has enjoyed a dramatic surge in usage since the pandemic began. Over the course of the last few months, Microsoft has delivered a significant upgrade to the service’s audio calling facility, introduced Zoom-esque breakout rooms, and added a selection of new aesthetic options ahead of the holiday season. The company also recently announced it would allow free users to host video calls for up to 24 hours at a time, dwarfing the 40-minute and 60-minute call duration limits set by Zoom and Google Meet respectively. Microsoft’s new calendar feature should synergize particularly well with an upcoming Outlook integration, expected to land in March. Users will be able to send copies of emails directly into Teams channels, which could then be used to inform the scheduling of any upcoming meetings. The consistent trickle of upgrades suggests Microsoft is confident about the long-term prospects of video conferencing and collaboration offerings, even after the pandemic has subsided. In an increasingly congested market, the company is working to consolidate the various applications employees are forced to juggle, making Teams the central hub for remote working.

After years worth of updates, there are now a heck of a lot of Minecraft mobs to keep straight, just during normal play. But what if you wanted to collect every single mob in the game, in survival, and catalogue all of them in a museum? That sounds like far too much work, but as ever, hardcore Minecraft players are willing to put in the effort that we mere mortals are not. Woetson collected nearly every mob in Minecraft, and built an architecturally-impressive museum to house them all, as their Reddit video shows. Each floor hosts a series of glass-encased exhibits, each of which contains a single mob within, from bees to endermen and everything in between. There is that ‘almost’ word in there – the museum is missing the Ender Dragon, wither, hoglin, piglin, and some variants. It’s also missing aquatic creatures, but Woetson says an aquarium will be an upcoming project. As it stands, Woetson estimates that the build took over 200 hours. Oh, and yes, you might want to call a massive exhibit of living animals a zoo. But as Woetson says, “If Animal Crossing can call it a museum, then so can I”. The holidays seem to have inspired plenty of big Minecraft builds, like when one player built Mt. Everest at 1:1 scale – and then spent four hours scaling it.

The drama between Jeep and Mahindra over the design of Mahindra’s Roxor continues. The Indian company introduced the off-road-only machine in question back in 2018, though Jeep quickly tried to stop its sale in the US, claiming it looked too much like its Wrangler. The two have gone back and forth since, though today Reuters reports that the US International Trade Commission has approved Mahindra’s design of the 2021 Roxor for sale in the US. According to the report, Fiat Chrysler Automobile, Jeep’s parent company, said in a statement that it’s “disappointed” in the decisions, adding that it plans to appeal the decision. Mahindra said the ruling validated the automaker’s redesigned Roxor, which the company is now permitted to manufacture and distribute. The ITC ruled that the Roxor’s new design no longer violates Jeep’s intellectual property rights for the Wrangler. Contention over the Roxor’s design ended up in front of a judge in late 2019, with the judge siding with FCA in the matter. The ruling found Mahindra violating the Wrangler’s design, and the company was barred from selling the Roxor here. The company gave the Roxor a redesign for 2020, though it wasn’t enough to appease the judges, sending the company back to the drawing board. The Roxor arrived with many Jeep CJ-like similarities in its design, such as the exterior hood latches, door cutouts, flat side and rear body panels, and more. Mahindra is likely hoping that the latest ruling can keep Jeep at bay, even though the American company plans to appeal the decision, which is still baffling. The Roxor isn’t a direct Wrangler competitor – it’s not even legal for road use in the US. It’s a side-by-side off-roader with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel making just 62 horsepower (46 kilowatts) and 144 pound-feet (195 Newton-meters) of torque with a top speed of just 45 miles per hour (72 kilometers per hour).
