On a weekday lunchtime, the dining rooms fill quickly with parents in expensive waxed outerwear, grabbing lunch with their kids from the eponymous boarding school that dominates the town. A parade of burgers and sandwiches, precision stabbed with cocktail sticks, alongside soups with doorstep slabs of bread, troop out of the kitchen. And a pint please for the pink-cheeked, broad-chested chap with the Range Rover outside. This may be both the Black Bull’s literal and figurative bread and butter; the way that any multi-purpose country pub earns its crust and crumb. But take a look at the bar menu that those family groups are ordering from and another story begins to unfurl. Yes, it includes beef and horseradish sandwiches, and another filled with hot roast pork from nearby Mansergh Hall Farm, famous in the Lune Valley for its outdoor-reared pigs. So far, so shabby chic. But there are other less traditional things: a chickpea and lentil curry for example, or a pork and kimchi stew, or perhaps crispy Korean beef with shiso and sesame, offered as a snack. The same juggling act is there in the layout of the place. To the left of the front door is the bar area. It comes complete with beers from Fell Brewery, Lakes Brew Company and Timothy Taylor’s on tap. It might just satisfy furious members of the Pub Liberation Front who believe that the serving of nice things to eat in such places is a bloody disgrace. What’s wrong with a packet of scampi fries, eh? (Nothing, as it happens.) Immediately to the right is the casual dining area, with its curving booths in red leather. Beyond that is the restaurant proper, a more austere space with raw wood panelling hung in turn with large charcoal landscapes. It’s a veritable riot of greys and blacks. Advertisement It all begins to make sense when you know more about the heritage of head chef Nina Matsunaga who runs the pub with her partner, local-born James Ratcliffe. Matsunaga was raised by Japanese parents in Dusseldorf, and brings those influences to bear on the ingredients from the surrounding hills and meadows, but in a thrillingly loose-limbed, lets-be-having-you sort of way. If it tastes good, it’s on. Recently Matsunaga was named a finalist in the chef of the year category of the Be Inclusive Hospitality awards, which celebrate diversity in the restaurant industry. Amitabh Bachchan alleged a violation of his publicity right as a celebrity. Bollywood legend and veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan filed a suit in Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights, image, voice or any of his characteristics without his consent, following which the court passed an interim ex-parte injunction in his favour. Eminent lawyer Harish Salve along with Ameet Naik and Pravin Anand, instructed by Anand and Naik, appeared for Bachchan in the High Court. The matter was heard before Justice Navin Chawla. Salve submitted that there is a complete misuse of Amitabh Bachchan's name, image, voice or any of his characteristics without his consent. "The misuse of his name, image and voice, especially by the mobile application developers, and people conducting lottery by illegally associating with KBC, book publishers, T-shirt vendors and various other businesses, has prompted Mr Amitabh Bachchan to approach the High Court, seeking a restraining order against the use of his personality traits," Salve said. The lawyer for Amitabh Bachchan also brought to the notice of the Delhi High Court that alleged infringers have illegally registered Bachchan's name as web-domain names such as www.amitabhbachchan.com and www.amitabhbachchan.in. Delhi High Court's Justice Navin Chawla noted that the plaintiff/Amitabh Bachchan alleges a violation of his publicity right as a celebrity. The court further noted that it could not seriously be disputed that the plaintiff is a very well-known personality and is aggrieved by the usage of his name, image voice etc without his consent. "I am of the opinion that the plaintiff has been able to make out prima facie case in his favour. The defendants appear to be using celebrity status without his authorization, permission and consent," the HC judge said. Justice Navin Chawla in his interim order passed an interim ex-parte injunction in favour of the Plaintiff/ Amitabh Bachchan and against the defendants. The plea stated that there is an infringement of the Plaintiff's personality through various manners like digital means, instant messaging apps, physical means etc. The digital means include several websites and mobile apps that have been found misappropriating the plaintiff's photographs and/or other characteristics, to create po[CENSORED]rity amongst the public and to entice members of the public to download such mobile apps. The instant messaging apps include several unscrupulous parties that have been found using Bachchan's photograph along with his name, and the representation of a TV Show Kaun Banega Crorepati (which is associated with Bachchan), to scam the public into believing that Kaun Banega Crorepati is offering lottery prizes to the members of the public. Apple's rumored AR Headset has been running wild in the rumor mill for a while. A newly published report highlights that the company is "wrapping up" development of its realityOS operating system as the focus has been shifted to a suite of AR apps ahead of the headset launch. The operating system is internally known as "Oak" and the company has been working on the platform since 2017. Apple's App Store logs and open-source code confirmed the operating system's existence earlier this year. In his latest Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman shared that realityOS "will include mixed-reality versions of core Apple apps like Messages, FaceTime, and Maps." Gurman added that the initial version of realityOS is "wrapping up internally and should be ready for the new hardware next year." It was previously reported that realityOS would revolve around media consumption, gaming, and communication and that Memojis and SharePlay will play a vital role in the experience. The analyst also speculates that Apple is working to ramp up the development of the software with new job listings requiring experience in visual effects and game asset pipeline and much more. Lenovo has confirmed and leaked out two upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 Non-X CPUs, the Ryzen 9 7900 & the Ryzen 7 7700. Lenovo Leaks AMD Ryzen 7000 Non-X CPUs Including Ryzen 9 7900 12-Core & Ryzen 7 7700 8-Core The AMD Ryzen 7000 Non-X CPU lineup is no mystery. We recently covered the alleged prices of three SKUs that will be making their way to the AM5 platform and it looks like Lenovo is further confirming through this leak that these chips are headed to OEM PCs & consumer desktops real soon. AMD has so far only introduced its "X" series SKUs in the Raphael "Zen 4" family. These parts aim towards enthusiasts and extreme gamers but like all generations that came before it, the Ryzen 7000 CPUs are bound to get Non-X parts. Although the company hasn't officially confirmed the release of any Non-X chips yet, we know that there are more chips coming to consumers soon in addition to the 3D V-Cache parts which are expected to be introduced at CES 2023. The AMD Ryzen 7000 Non-X 'Zen 4' CPUs will include a total of three variants. These include the Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 7 7700, and Ryzen 5 7600. The differences between these & the standard X chips are that these will feature a 65W TDP by default and slightly lower clock speeds. So let us begin with the specifications. The CPU will retail for $329 US which is a difference of $70 US versus the Ryzen 7 7700X which retails at $399 US. The Ryzen 7 7700 seems to be clocked just 100 MHz lower than the Ryzen 7 7700X which is impressive given its 65W power budget. The final TDP should fall around 90-100W given the 1.375x multiplier for the PPT. AMD Ryzen 5 7600 - Making AM5 Affordable For Entry-Level Builders Lastly, we have the AMD Ryzen 5 7600 which will feature 6 cores, 12 threads, 38 MB of cache (32 MB L3 + 6 MB L2) and will feature a maximum clock speed of up to 5.1 GHz. The CPU will hit retail at $229 US which is also $70 US lower than the Ryzen 5 7600X which retails at $299 US. The boost clock is 200 MHz lower than the 'X' chip. TEARS OF THE KINGDOM TRAILERS Nintendo Direct September 2022 trailer We got a brief new look at Breath of the Wild 2 during the latest Nintendo Direct, only we learned it's officially called The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While we didn't get a particularly in-depth look at gameplay, it appears to show seamless travel across Hyrule, alongside a new glider. You can watch that in full below: E3 2021 trailer We got our best look yet at Tears of the Kingdom during the E3 2021 Nintendo presentation, with a trailer showing off the vast, expansive world of Hyrule – expanded even further with navigation into the skies, despite the more dungeon-crawling feeling of the original 2019 teaser. There's some paragliding up in the clouds, along with more a freefall mechanic that seems ripped right out of Skyward Sword, and a new glove that looks to be taking the place of the Sheikah slate for Tears of the Kingdom. There's even a short clip of a splashed puddle... reverting in time? We're not entirely sure, but it's clear that some new mechanics will be introduced into the Zelda formula, while one of the first game's sentient boulder enemies (that's Stone Pebblit to you) is shown with a Bokoblin fort on its back for Tears of the Kingdom, suggesting even more dynamic interplay between the game's many enemies. Announcement trailer We got our very first glimpse of Tears of the Kingdom at E3 2019, with this spooky trailer that shows Zelda and Link exploring an underground chamber – with some mysterious runes, glowing hands, and a brand-new haircut that has set the internet on fire. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer that first revealed the game is just 82 seconds long and there's no dialogue whatsoever, but there are some clues to be gathered from it. It features a torch-carrying Link and Zelda traversing a dark dungeon beneath Hyrule (no big surprise there). Spirit-like tendrils creep around the musty tomb they're exploring, with the pair riding a large elephant-like beast. Something shocks the pair, and then we cut to what appears to be the resurrection of some long-dead (and creepy looking) warrior. Could this be the return of Ganondorf? The video then cuts to a long shot of Hyrule Field, with Hyrule Castle in the distance. There's a tremor, the castle is smothered with dust... and that's the end. The clip finishes with a message that reads: "The sequel to Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is in development." Norwegian Muscian Aurora, known for songs like Runaway, Cure For Me, and for lending her ethereal vocals to Disney's Frozen 2, will be performing a virtual concert in Sky: Children Of The Light this December. The event comes as part of Sky's Season of Aurora, a two month long collaboration with the singer that kicked off in October. In keeping with the themes of the season, the concert is being described as a "unique musical journey," with the developers wanting players to connect with Aurora, her music, and with other players. Attendees will also play a part in the concert themselves, with Thatgamecompany promising "unparalleled" interactivity. The songs featured in the 45 minute concert will include "Exhale, Inhale," "Runaway," "All is Soft," "Warrior," "The Seed," and more. The concert is timed to begin after The Game Awards wraps up, kicking off at 8:30 PM PT on December 8, promising a unique kind of in-game afterparty for the industry awards show. Fans are also encouraged to turn up early to the in-game venue, with a number of pre-show attractions on offer including new characters, unique expressions and instruments, and other interactive experiences. For fans who won't be able to make the initial date, the experience will be replaying through the remainder of the Season of Aurora, with replays every four hours between midnight on December 8 until the season concludes on January 2. Rishi Sunak has asked for the investigation into alleged bullying by Dominic Raab to be expanded to include a third formal complaint. Earlier this week, No 10 confirmed a lawyer would investigate two complaints about Mr Raab. Now it says a new claim relating to Mr Raab's behaviour as Brexit secretary in 2018 will also be examined. Mr Raab, who is both the justice secretary and deputy prime minister, has denied any allegations of bullying. He has insisted he "behaved professionally at all times" and that he looks forward to dealing with the complaints "transparently rather than dealing with anonymous comments in the media". Mr Raab is a close ally of Mr Sunak and Downing Street has said he has the PM's full confidence. But Labour's deputy leader, Angela Rayner, has called for a wider "proactive investigation" of Mr Raab's behaviour during his time as a minister, covering informal complaints as well as any concerns raised formally. She described restricting the scope of the investigation to only formal complaints as a "stitch-up" that "will fool no one". It comes after sources told the BBC the Ministry of Justice, where Mr Raab now works, has been "inundated" with complaints of alleged bullying. Raab profile: Karate black-belt who is no stranger to controversy Lawyer to investigate Raab bullying claims Sunak: I don't recognise Raab bullying claims Last week, Mr Raab asked Mr Sunak to launch an inquiry into his conduct after allegations about his behaviour towards staff. The government appointed lawyer Adam Tolley KC to "establish the specific facts" about two formal complaints that have been lodged about Mr Raab's conduct when he was foreign secretary and justice secretary, during Boris Johnson's premiership. The lawyer will report to Mr Sunak, who will make the final judgement on whether Mr Raab's conduct breached the ministerial code. But the scope of the inquiry can be widened "at the discretion of the prime minister, in consultation with the investigator," according to its terms of reference. Mr Raab was sacked as justice secretary and deputy prime minister by former PM Liz Truss when she took power in September. A British angler has caught one of the world's largest goldfish on record after an epic battle with the fish in a French lake. The fisher landed the 67-pound (30 kilograms) fish, nicknamed The Carrot, after a 25-minute tug-of-war at Bluewater Lakes in France's northeast Champagne province. A hybrid between a leather carp and koi, the goldfish was released into the lake 20 years ago, after which it ballooned in size, becoming one of the largest of its kind to ever be caught. "With normal fish you struggle to see them if they're just under the surface, but The Carrot is obviously bright orange so you can't miss it," Andy Hackett, the man who caught the fish, told the BBC(opens in new tab). "It's a much sought-after fish, not many people have caught it, it's quite elusive." Goldfish tenacity has already caused problems in lakes in which multiple fish, often dumped by people who once kept them as pets, are released at once. In 2021, officials in the Minnesota city of Burnsville released an official statement pleading with residents to refrain from releasing goldfish into the waters of the city's Lake Keller. The once-tiny fish had begun growing to enormous sizes, and were wreaking havoc on the lake's delicate ecological webs. Pakistan's ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan has spoken to hundreds of thousands of supporters, in his first public appearance since being shot at and injured three weeks ago. Crowds gathered for a rally in the city of Rawalpindi, taking flags and signs. The former cricket star urged them to live without fear of death. One person was killed and several others injured during the attack earlier this month, which unfolded as Mr Khan led a similar event. The former PM was injured in his right leg and underwent surgery. He has accused members of the current government of plotting the attack, in Wazirabad. Authorities have rejected the accusation and released a video purporting to show a confession from a man they describe as the only suspect in the shooting. At the rally in Rawalpindi, Mr Khan's supporters erupted in cheers when he appeared after a delay of several hours. One woman told the BBC she had come because Mr Khan's cause was that of the people of Pakistan, not of himself. "I am here for a leader who is supporting us," she said. "There is one man only who has been raising his voice against all the establishment," a man in the crowd said. "He is here to look forward, he has given us a vision." The atmosphere was jovial despite heightened security, with crowds chanting slogans in support of the former prime minister and po[CENSORED]r Pakistani songs blaring out from loudspeakers.
