And the Brazilian Ministry of Health said that it had recorded 3,3057 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, and 739 deaths over a twenty-four hour period. The ministry data showed that the total number of infections in the largest country in South America has exceeded 4.5 million cases since the outbreak of the epidemic; Which places it in the third place in the spread of the disease globally after the United States and India. Brazil ranks second in the world in the number of deaths after the United States, with more than 136,000 deaths, according to "Sky News Arabia". In Mexico, the Mexican Ministry of Health said that it had recorded 5,167 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, and 455 deaths; Noting that the total number in the country reached 694,121 injuries, 73,258 deaths. The total number of Corona cases in China currently stands at 85,279; While the number of deaths remains constant at 4,634 cases.

As seasons meld, bright vegetables meet warm, earthy flavors Ican’t see a pile of peppers without thinking of them roasted, their silky, scarlet flesh surrounded by their own caramel-colored juices. It is a recipe I do without thinking - the long, thin peppers are left whole, snuggled in a roasting tin, their skin glossy with olive oil. They are roasted till they puff up, letting out a sigh as they collapse and their juice pools in the bottom of the tin. They make their own dressing, with a smoky sweetness from the peppers, a hint of bitterness from the charred skin. We eat them this way, with basil leaves, torn mozzarella and chewy bread for the juices. Occasionally I stuff them: fat pearls of mograbia, the giant couscous; slate-green lentils with balsamic and basil; cannellini beans with pecorino and rosemary. Minced lamb, too, if it has simmered slowly enough with onions, garlic, bay leaves and thyme (I like to add a little balsamic vinegar towards the end of cooking). This time I filled some romano peppers with crabmeat, the expensive shellfish made to go further with soft, white breadcrumbs. I used both white and the more interesting brick-red brown meat, devilled with mustard and pepper sauce, softened with a little cream. The recipe comes from a restaurant I worked at years ago, where we served the spiced crab hot from the oven in shallow white dishes, with soldiers of toast for dipping. Summer is sinking into autumn, but there are still plenty of taught, crisp climbing beans around. We used them this week in a dark and bosky ragu, the long, thin haricots in lieu of pasta. This was a fresh, crunchy take on “courgetti”. It is a recipe I shall repeat again soon, perhaps with a ragu of brown lentils. Peppers with crab and tarragon Long, thin romano peppers - the variety that look like Aladdin's slippers - work well here, but any ripe pepper will do. The trick is to make sure they are thoroughly soft, their edges blackened here and there, before serving. Serves 4 romano peppers 8 (or 4 large) sweet onions 2, medium olive oil 3 tbsp garlic 3 cloves grain mustard 1 tbsp Tabasco a few shakes crabmeat 350g, mix of brown and white soft, white breadcrumbs 100g Parsley leaves a large handful tarragon 7g double cream 75ml parmesan 4 tbsp, grated Place the peppers on their side on a chopping board. Take a thick slice from the top of each one to leave a deep hollow. Put the peppers snugly in a roasting tin or baking dish. Set the oven at 180C / gas mark 4. Cut the slices of pepper you have removed into fine dice. Peel the onions and chop them finely. Warm the olive oil in a shallow pan and add the onions and chopped peppers, fry and occasionally stir for 10 minutes, until the onion has softened but not colored. Peel and chop the garlic then stir into the onion and pepper mixture, and continue cooking for 5 minutes until the first signs of color appear on the onions. Transfer the softened onion and peppers to a large mixing bowl and stir in the mustard and Tabasco. Add the crabmeat and breadcrumbs. Finely chop the parsley leaves and the tarragon then stir them in with the cream and a little salt. Fill the peppers with the crab mixture, then scatter the grated parmesan over the top. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the peppers are soft and silky and the filling is nicely golden. KBB Editors’ Overview The 2021 Lexus IS compact luxury sport sedan is the Japanese brand's answer to European models like the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, and Audi A4. For two decades, the Lexus IS has competed well with those rivals in terms of driving manners while outshining the rest with the kind of reliability and high resale value you’d expect from Toyota’s luxury division. For 2021, the Lexus IS gets a refresh that helps it remain competitive. In addition to updated exterior and interior design, the Lexus IS finally gains Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa integration. Lexus says it has made improvements to the IS’ driving performance by enhancing its chassis and suspension components. It is the first model to debut what the brand calls “Lexus Driving Signature,” meant to provide better feedback to the driver across the brand's model lineup. The Lexus IS is again offered with either a turbocharged 4-cylinder or V6 engine, and with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). A full suite of active safety and driver-assistance features is standard. Bolstered by this freshening and backed by years of reliability and gratifying manners, the 2021 Lexus IS looks to be more enticing than ever. Driving the 2021 Lexus IS The Lexus IS has long impressed us with its refined but taut manners. In the past, we have found it an excellent choice among entry-level luxury sedans, especially when equipped with a V6. We are eager to experience the chassis and suspension improvements Lexus has made for the 2021 IS. Stay tuned after we get behind the wheel. Favorite Features STANDARD LEXUS SAFETY SYSTEM + All 2021 Lexus IS models include this suite that bundles active safety and driver-assist features like forward-collision alert with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning / lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. MARK LEVINSON AUDIO SYSTEM Lexus has had a long relationship with Mark Levinson, one of the best names in high-end audio. This year, the optional premium audio system has gotten even better, boasting two more speakers for a total of 17 and a massive increase in wattage from 835 to 1,800. Rock on. 2021 Lexus IS Interior The updated 2021 Lexus IS retains the basic design of its 5-passenger cabin, with most of the updates focused up front where tech is concerned. The IS now comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen display thataces displ the previous, aging 7-inch display. Optional is a 10.3-inch widescreen display. The screen sits nearly 3 inches closer to the driver for easier access. We’ve long found the Lexus’ seats among the most comfortable in the business, and expect the same for this refreshed model. As before, leather upholstery is not available. Rather, Lexus uses a synthetic material called NuLuxe. 2021 Lexus IS Exterior With its freshening for 2021, the Lexus IS keeps its familiar svelte lines but gets updates to its front and rear fascias, including a new grille. One of is most distinctive new features is in back, where a light bar now spans the entire tail of the car. Also new, the 2021 Lexus IS now comes standard with 18-inch wheels, while 19-inch variants are available for the first time and reserved for F Sport models. Dimensionally the Lexus has grown ever so slightly over last year’s model. It is just over an inch longer and wider, and sits just a hair taller. Wheelbase remains the same. 2021 Lexus IS Standard Features The 2021 Lexus IS comes in three main trims: IS 300 RWD, IS 300 AWD, and IS 350. The based IS 300 RWD includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with new integrated Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa integration, NuLuxe synthetic leather upholstery, 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and 8-way adjustable passenger seat, keyless access with push-button start and dual-zone automatic climate control. For 2021, 18-inch wheels replace the previous 17-inch ones. With the base turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, rear-wheel drive is your only choice. The Lexus IS comes with an impressive roster of safety equipment, called Lexus Safety System +. The system includes frontal-collision warning with bicyclist and pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam assist, and a lane-tracing assist that when used with radar cruise control helps keep you centered in lanes. New for 2021, the Lexus IS includes blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. 2021 Lexus IS Options In addition to all-wheel drive, stepping up to the IS 300 AWD gets you a more potent 260-hp V6 engine. The IS 350 includes a more powerful version of the V6 rated at 311-hp. For 2021, this is the only Lexus IS that offers the aggressive F Sport treatment. Lexus IS 350 F Sport models feature unique front and rear bumper design, rear-lip spoiler, and other exterior aesthetics. 2021 Lexus IS F Sport models also include 19-inch wheels, heated and ventilated front seats with 2-way lumbar support, and 4-way adjustable headrests. The F Sport's performance can be further enhanced with the Dynamic Handling Package that includes adaptive suspension and a Sport + driving mode. RWD F Sport models can be had with a limited-slip differential. Other options for the Lexus IS lineup include a power moonroof, a 10.3-inch widescreen display with navigation, and a newly upgraded Mark Levinson premium audio system that boasts 17 speakers and 1,800 watts - that’s nearly a 1,000 more than the previous model. 2021 Lexus IS Engine The 2021 Lexus IS carries over its powertrain choices of either a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine or a V6 in one of two power outputs. Here’s how it plays out: The Lexus IS 300 rear-wheel-drive (RWD) models use the base 4-cylinder that makes 241 horsepower. IS 300 all-wheel-drive models (AWD) have a V6 making 260 horsepower. All IS 350 models, whether RWD or AWD, get the higher-powered V6 that makes 311 horsepower. All Lexus IS models use an automatic transmission. RWD models have an 8-speed, while AWD models use an older-style but still smooth-operating 6-speed. Performance-wise, we’ve found the V6 to be smooth and powerful, but the turbo-4 has also impressed us with its liveliness while returning better fuel economy. As with other luxury cars, the Lexus drinks premium unleaded gasoline.

It was only hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that his country was ready for dialogue with Egypt and Greece, until the response came from Cairo condemning and surprising. Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, denounced the Turkish Foreign Minister’s conversation with one of the local channels there, and said that the conversation contained in various references a negative approach about the political developments Egypt witnessed related to the “June 30 Revolution”, which confirms the continued adherence to The allegations are completely contrary to reality and serve certain ideological orientations. The Egyptian official also announced his country's complete rejection of the Turkish approach, noting that continuing to talk about Egypt in this negative tone, and with this degree of contradiction, dedicates the lack of credibility regarding any allegation by seeking to create the appropriate climate for establishing relations based on respect and adherence to the rules of international legitimacy. Erdogan: We are open for dialogue with Cairo These developments came hours after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made statements to reporters in Istanbul, Friday, when he said: “We have no objection to dialogue with Egypt, holding intelligence talks with Cairo is a different and possible thing, and there is nothing to prevent that, but its agreement with Greece saddened us. ” In his speech, Erdogan added that his country is ready for dialogue with Greece in a third country or via video, adding: “We do not have a problem meeting with the Greek Prime Minister, but the fundamental question is, what will we discuss and in which framework will we meet?” It is noteworthy that Turkey had previously considered the Egyptian-Greek maritime border demarcation agreement, which was signed in early August in Cairo, as "null", noting that it "also violates Libyan maritime rights." A few days ago, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry confirmed that the blatant Turkish practices and interventions in many Arab countries represent the most important emerging threats to Arab national security, stressing that Egypt will not remain idle in the face of these ambitions. In a speech before the Arab Ministerial Committee on Turkish Interventions within the framework of the activities of the 154th regular session of the League of Arab States Council, he added that Egypt will not stand idly by in the face of Turkish ambitions that are manifesting in northern Iraq, Syria and Libya in particular. In the context, he also expressed Egypt's support for Iraq in the face of the ongoing Turkish aggressions on its borders and the measures it takes in the face of these blatant interventions. It is noteworthy that the agreement between Greece and Egypt, which “saddened” Turkey, was considered a response to the Turkish-Libyan agreement signed at the end of 2019, which allowed Ankara to reach a large area in the eastern Mediterranean, where large gas reserves were discovered in recent years. The treaty allows Egypt and Greece to make the most of the resources available in the exclusive economic zone, especially oil and gas reserves.

Daring color mixes, striking furniture and footwear as decoration are the hallmarks of this townhouse in the 20th arrondissement There’s something childish in the way I use color, ”says Gherardo Felloni, creative director of Roger Vivier. “In the last 20 years, designers went for beige or gray - safe colors. I am completely the opposite. I am spontaneous, and not afraid. ” Step into his three-storey townhouse in the magical Campagne à Paris, a village of cobbled streets and Narnia lampposts in the 20th arrondissement to the east of the city center, and daring mixes await. A painting of deep and luminous blues hangs in the more formal of two sitting rooms, a pair of 1960s tubular glass sconces originally from the palatial waiting room of the monumental Milan Centrale railway station either side of it. “They are massive, and quite special,” says Felloni, whose comparatively modest home was built as part of a development of 92 houses in the 1920s for working-class families. Felloni loves to entertain, but on an intimate scale. "No parties!" The blue room, he says, is “a space to take a drink and a cigarette” before a simple supper in the garden. He designed the room’s trio of concrete and brass occasional tables with his friend Duccio Maria Gambi, persuading him to work in blue concrete rather than gray. "Let’s try to do a blue table - now they match the painting by [Victor] Vasarely." Their cuboid nature pleases Felloni, who likes strong lines. He was attracted to the rectangular silver Vivier buckle shoe long before he joined the luxury shoe maker in 2018, not least for its marrying of beauty and function. Today, Felloni’s own designs combine exuberance and elegance with architectural formalism, “but a shoe is not just about comfort or giving confidence, which are both very personal. A shoe is also about color, embellishment, the story you have to tell. " His inspiration, he says, “is everywhere. You just need the sensibility to catch it in the right moment. ” His home is itself a moment of inspiration that nearly got away. "Four times I canceled my appointment with the estate agent to see it." After selling his home in Milan, Felloni wanted a garden but this property in the now coveted Campagne “was just too far from the center”. He bought it in 2012, a day after the viewing, the peace of this micro arrondissement irresistible. The house was “falling apart” and a “conservative restoration” followed, the original features, including windows, doors and fireplaces, retained. He moved the kitchen and dining room to the basement, which gives on to the garden. He insists that the rather alarming 1970s dining chairs by Italian designer Vico Magistretti are very comfortable. “They look like members of the Addams family,” he laughs. “They are really strange, and dark. "I love how they contrast with the garden and the art deco carpet." Judging by the expression of the figure in the portrait by Nicolas Party, not everyone agrees. The ground-floor brown sitting room is filled with the “most beautiful light”. Shoes, books and objets trouvés line the shelves, illuminated by a 1960s Murano chandelier. “It's the most joyful room. I love the silence. I can watch a movie or read and be with Mina, my cat. ” A photograph of 1960s actor and arthouse pin-up Monica Vitti nestles behind a small statue from 1930s Germany, an artwork by contemporary Spanish collage artist Roberta Marrero and a 1940s futuristic table lamp. On the other side of the mirror, a ceramic bull stands, with whimsical incongruity, beside a pair of vintage Charles Jourdan shoes. This bright house is peppered with shoes - on walls, tables, every surface; mementoes of a career that began in Felloni’s family’s shoe atelier as a child and that took him to Dior and Miu Miu. In the library, there are four pairs on the mantelpiece alone, including vintage Christian Dior sage evening shoes, pastel-pink Vivier pumps from the 1960s perched on a photograph by Italian photographer Grazia Neri, and a pair of diamante mules by Miu Miu. A collector, like Roger Vivier before him, Felloni has “eclectic” taste, with photography and jewelery particular passions. “I like to see pictures of faces, iconic faces, celebrities not nature,” he says, “and to feel people around me.” For a man whose levée includes choosing which antique necklace to wear, usually over a dress shirt, it is no surprise that his bedroom includes a dressing room. A still life by American painter Billy Sullivan sits above a mirror and vanity table by Italian architect and designer Gio Ponti for his modernist monument, the Hotel Parco dei Principi, near Sorrento. “I put them here, just like in the hotel suite. I like the idea of hotel life. ” Morning is Felloni’s favorite part of the day. “But if it's sunny, I am in trouble. I take my coffee to the garden, look at the flowers, cut some stems. Then I can’t leave and I’m late for work! ”

2021 Genesis GV80 Expert Review The 2021 Genesis GV80 is a brand-new vehicle and the first crossover SUV from Hyundai's luxury brand. Most versions of the GV80 have two rows and seating for the five, though one model can be with seating for seven via a small, optional third row. This makes the GV80 a rival to luxury midsize crossovers such as the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Lexus RX, Acura MDX, and Lincoln Aviator. Like Genesis’ other vehicles, the GV80 brings a lot for the money. It comes loaded with a full safety suite, and higher-trim models can be had with everything from massaging seats and 21-speaker Lexicon audio to the ability for the GV80 to pull in and out of a tight parking spot while the driver stands outside the vehicle. The Genesis GV80 offers the choice of a 300-horsepower 4-cylinder engine or a 375-horsepower twin-turbocharged V6. This new luxury SUV promises road manners on the athletic end of the spectrum, thanks to its rear-wheel-drive setup that's standard in 4-cylinder models. All-wheel drive is standard with the V6, optional on the 4-cylinder. The new Genesis GV80 appeals to those seeking a competent and capable crossover SUV that is both luxurious and sensible. Its sub- $ 49,000 starting price is lower than most rivals, and its 10-year / 100,000-mile powertrain warranty is the best in the business. If you regularly need to carry more than five passengers, however, you’ll want to look to an SUV that offers a larger third row. Driving the 2021 Genesis GV80 Unlike many crossover SUVs that are based on a front-wheel-drive architecture, the GV80 is rear-wheel drive by nature. This means it has the driving characteristics more associated with a sports sedan. This is also the setup used by German luxury SUVs such as the BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz GLE, which puts the GV80 in good company. As with the Mercedes, the GV80's base engine is a turbocharged 4-cylinder, but the one in the Genesis is more powerful. Outputting 300 horsepower, even a base 2021 Genesis GV80 promises eager acceleration. Those seeking even more gratifying oomph should look to the optional twin-turbo V6 in the 3.5T models. This stellar engine puts out 375 horsepower to make the GV80 downright quick. All models use an 8-speed automatic transmission, which we generally prefer over many of the 9-speed and 10-speed setups used in competitors. The Genesis GV80's manners can be tailored to your preferences via a drive-mode selector. The vehicle can be optimized for comfort, sporty handling, efficiency, or a customized setup that lets you tweak individual parameters to your personal preference. Kudos also go to the Genesis GV80's semi-autonomous abilities. We’ve found the latest Highway Driving Assist (HDA) system by Hyundai / Genesis to be among the best of its kind. When using the standard adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, this system greatly reduces stress in long, tedious commutes on freeways and highways.

US President Donald Trump said that a decision to ban the applications "TikTok" and "WeChat" will start as of next Sunday. Larry Kudlow, the White House economic advisor, had announced earlier that the United States was conducting a "deep review" of the deal concluded by Oracle with the Chinese parent company of the po[CENSORED]r video recording application TikTok. Kudlow said that "security and property" are important factors in the review process from President Donald Trump's viewpoint, according to Reuters. ByteDance is in discussions with both Oracle and Walmart to obtain stakes in the US operations, and this represents a departure from the deal, which nearly completed several weeks ago, worth between 20 and 30 billion dollars. The deal collapsed after China backed down, saying ByteDance needed to agree to a deal that included exporting the AI technology used by TikTok. ByteDance made a proposal to avoid selling US assets or all tik tok - which Trump said is necessary to avoid the ban - due to talks with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and Treasury officials. ByteDance counts that its proposal with Oracle addresses the concerns of the US Commission on Foreign Investment (CFIUS) based on the nature of the US government's concerns about data sharing.

Fans of skin-contact wine praise its non-interventionist approach and funky, farmyard notes; critics compare it to bad cider. But one thing’s for sure: it’s here to stay It's easy to be snippy about orange wine, especially given a recent trends report by Sainsbury’s which suggests that almost a third of 25- to 34-year-olds would buy the stuff simply because it would look good on their Instagram feeds. Coupled with the fact that some orange wines taste unconscionably like cider, and at three or four times the price, you might well wonder what all the fuss is about. Well, for a start, orange wine is no flash in the pan - in Georgia, they’ve been making it for all of 2,000 years, in terracotta amphorae called qvevri. And no, it's not made from oranges, either, but from white grapes: the freshly crushed juice is left in contact with the skins to pick up color, in much the same way as reds and rosés are, and the longer the contact, the deeper the color will be - some orange wines have a particularly beautiful, amber hue. Sainsbury’s is not the first supermarket to show an interest in them, either. Marks & Spencer has been selling an amphora-fermented Georgian wine for some time now, while last year Asda launched a Romanian orange wine. Sainsbury's has recently taken on one from the South African producer Bosman, who already have a track record with the style: they've given this one 21 days' skin contact, which makes it a pale-ish orange and which, combined with a relatively low level of alcohol, has an appealingly soft, peachy flavor that should develop over the coming months. Of course, a single wine isn’t exactly a ringing endorsement of the trend Sainsbury’s has identified, but baby steps and all that. A couple of other things you need to know about orange, or amber wines, as they’re also known, are that you should serve them warmer than a standard white - about 12-14C - and that they take well to being decanted. They also have the structure and tannin to stand up to red meat, especially lamb, in a way that white wines tend not to. And they’re particularly good with Middle Eastern food. If you’re daunted by the price and unsure whether orange wine is going to be your thing, your best option is to try them by the glass in one of the many natural wine bars that have sprung up in in the past few years. “We recently had three orange wines in our top 10 sellers,” says Doug Wregg of natural wine specialist Les Caves de Pyrène. "Normally, there are none in our top 30. People wanted a psychological lift during lockdown, and there’s something about orange wine that gives one that." To coin a phrase, perhaps the future is orange, after all.

GMC has lifted the curtains on the 2021 Yukon, the next-gen version of its big, brawny 3-row SUV. As with the current model, the new Yukon is available in both large and extra-large versions, with the latter, extended-length model called the Yukon XL. Outside of that aspect, however, this is an entirely new beast. Like its siblings the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the 2021 Yukon is has been entirely revamped, its first entire update in six years. This all-new Yukon is bigger outside and within (especially within), and boasts new technology, more safety equipment, added amenities, and a new diesel engine option. At its media unveiling in the winter playground of Vail, Colorado, GMC executives not only boasted that this is the best Yukon to date, but explained the components that make it so. They also touted the premium nature of this full-size SUV, especially in the top-spec Denali trim. Here are highlights of the 2021 Yukon and answers to common questions about this 3-row American SUV. What’s new about the 2021 GMC Yukon? The 2021 model year marks an all-new version of the GMC Yukon and long-wheelbase Yukon XL. Each is bigger and roomier, especially the standard model. New technology and safety equipment includes a 9-camera system that makes parking and towing easier, magnetic ride control, and air suspension. While air suspension is optional, all 2021 Yukon models move from an old live-axle design to a new independent multilink suspension. This grants better ride quality and more interior room in back. The top-line, luxury-laden Yukon Denali comes loaded with even more features and for the first time have their own exclusive interior treatment. Also significant is the introduction of the new GMC Yukon AT4. What is the 2021 GMC Yukon AT4? AT4 signifies GMC's premium off-road variants. The first GMC model to be offered in AT4 trim was the Sierra full-size pickup, and it has since made its way to the Acadia crossover and Canyon midsize pickup. This marks the first Yukon AT4 model. The AT4 Yukon includes 4-wheel-drive with a 2-speed transfer case, skid plates, 20-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, and Traction Selection system with off-road mode. It’s also nicely equipped with heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, leather seating, and optional 4-corner air suspension. What engine does the 2021 Yukon have? As with the Tahoe and Suburban, the new Yukon will offer a choice of three engines. There will be new versions of the standard, 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 and 460-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, in addition to a new choice: a diesel in the form of GM's 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6. All models will use a 10-speed automatic transmission. We tested the diesel powertrain last year in the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks and were thoroughly impressed. In those models, the engine makes 277 horsepower and an impressive 460 lb-ft of torque. The diesel excels at towing and is also more efficient. In fact, while official ratings are still pending, GMC says Yukons with that engine are expected to be the most fuel-efficient full-size SUVs available. What about interior room? As with its siblings the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, the new Yukon and Yukon XL gain substantial interior room. Thanks to a 6.1 increase in overall length and nearly 5-inch increase in wheelbase, the standard Yukon model gains over 10 inches of third-row legroom (now totaling 34.9 inches) and over 10 cubic feet of additional cargo room behind the rear seat ( now at 25.5 cubic feet). GMC says those are gains of 41 percent and 66 percent, respectively. The longer 2021 Yukon XL, which is the corporate cousin to the Chevy Suburban, also makes gains though not quite as much. It has grown just under an inch in total length, translating to smaller but still appreciate gains in legroom and storage space. At the media unveil, we hopped in the rearmost seat of a Yukon and found it substantially more comfortable than the current model - one of which we rode in the day before in that last row. How many passengers can the 2021 GMC Yukon seat? The new 2021 Yukon is again notable for its seating configurations available for the 2021. Base SLE models will still offer total seating for nine across when equipped with a 3-bench bench up front. That’s a good option for large families or buyers who need maximum passenger flexibility. Most, however, will probably opt for an 8-passenger setup or, when fitted with second-row captain's chairs, total seating for seven. What safety features does the 2021 Yukon have? GMC says the new Yukon will have “availability” of active safety and driving aids such as lane-keeping assist, surround view camera, a new rear pedestrian alert and digital rearview mirror (a real asset when towing). Furthermore, all models will now come standard with automatic emergency braking. Otherwise, it's a little too soon to know exactly which features will come with each trim. What else is cool about the new Yukon and Yukon XL? In addition to major new hardware like air suspension, a diesel engine and the AT4 model, there are several smaller aspects that are still notable in the forthcoming GMC Yukon. Among them is a power-operated center console that offers a lot of storage flexibility and lockable security up front, GMC's ProGrade trailering system, a 15-inch heads-up display, and the new Active Response 4WD System with an electronic limited-slip differential . When does the new 2021 Yukon go on sale? The all-new Yukon is set to arrive at dealers this summer. Standard Yukon models will go on sale first, followed by the larger Yukon XL. How much does the 2021 GMC Yukon cost? Pricing for the new Yukon will be announced closer to its on-sale date this summer. For reference, however, the current Yukon starts just over $ 50,000 and can crest the $ 80,000 mark for a loaded Denali.

US sanctions against two companies in Lebanon linked to Hezbollah On Thursday, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on two companies in Lebanon linked to Hezbollah. The US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) imposed sanctions on Arch Consulting for Engineering Studies and Consulting and Architecture Construction Engineering and Contracting for being owned, controlled, or directed by Hezbollah. In addition, the OFAC designated Sultan Khalifa Asaad, an official in the Hezbollah Executive Council, which is closely linked to the two companies. Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said that by exploiting the Lebanese economy and mani[CENSORED]ting corrupt Lebanese officials, companies associated with the terrorist organization are being awarded government contracts, and that the United States will remain committed to targeting Hezbollah and its supporters because they are corruptly exploiting Lebanese resources to enrich their leaders, while the Lebanese people are suffering from Insufficient services. The inclusion of individuals and entities on the sanctions list by the US Treasury effectively isolates them from the global financial system, freezes any assets they have under US jurisdiction, and warns non-US institutions from dealing with them. The relationship between America and Iran has been strained since 2018, after the administration of US President Donald Trump withdrew from the nuclear deal with Tehran and re-imposed economic sanctions on it.

this update of the classic biscuit marries its lovely, crumbly texture and fruity chew with lingering aniseed sweetness and satisfying crunch The garibaldi biscuit was first made in Bermondsey, south London, by Peek Freans, a tea company. It was similar to traditional biscuits at the time – dry, square and ideal for sustenance on long journeys. Maybe this is why I find it perfect for both a long bike ride and to complement a good cup of tea. It is a simple biscuit with a lovely crumbly texture and fruity chew. Traditionally, the garibaldi biscuit features currants, but adding barberries gives a tangy edge, while fennel seeds bring a lingering aniseed sweetness and toasted hazelnuts offer a satisfying crunch. Makes 14 60g plain flour 45g wholemeal plain flour ¼ tsp baking powder 25g unsalted butter 15g caster sugar 1 medium egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 10ml milk 40g barberries 40g currants 30g chopped roasted hazelnuts 1 tsp fennel seeds A little extra milk and caster sugar for sprinkling Put the flours, baking powder, butter and sugar into a mixing bowl and rub until it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Whisk the egg and vanilla with a fork and add to the mixture. Then add the milk a little at a time until it comes together as a soft dough (you may not need it at all). Shape into a square, and then wrap and chill in the fridge for 30 mins. Heat the oven to 210C (190C fan)/410F/gas mark 7. On a lightly floured surface roll out the dough to 20cm by 30cm. Sprinkle the barberries, currants and nuts over half the surface, fold the other half over, sprinkle over the fennel seeds and roll out so it’s once again 20cm by 30cm. Trim the edges, then cut into 14 fingers (remember to bake the offcuts, too). Transfer to a lined baking tray, brush with milk and sprinkle lightly with caster sugar. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until nicely golden at the edges.
