I was having that same problem of cs1.6 .
Me was too playing from many years with that cs1.6
But problem camed like same as you as error as with a message
And i downloaded the csbd1.6 v1.1
There is nothing that u played for 10 or 2 years sometimes problem happens.
Problem will be solved.

Hello mate i am telling that me and my friends were having this problem i seened a video and i fix it. But my friend do as all says download the new one but he done as Deleted all files of cs + there is another related files to cs 1.6 delete it Then he reboot computer Then he searched on torrentz2 And he download from there and the problem fixed. I hope this will work
