Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is a military science fiction real-time strategy video game developed and published by Electronic Arts for the Windows, Mac OS X and Xbox 360 platforms, and released internationally in March 2007.[2] The direct sequel to 1999's Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun by Westwood Studios which was taken over and liquidated by EA in 2003, Tiberium Wars returns the Command & Conquer series to its roots in the Tiberium story arc of the franchise, again featuring the factions of the Global Defense Initiative and the Brotherhood of Nod, and also introducing a new extraterrestrial faction known as the Scrin. An expansion pack to Tiberium Wars, titled Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath, was released on March 24, 2008. Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko has died aged 90 in New York, police say. He was found unresponsive at his flat in Manhattan on 29 June and was declared dead by paramedics who attended the scene. Fans, including author Neil Gaiman, have paid tribute to the artist. Ditko rose to fame for his work with Marvel Comics in the early 1960s, working with the company's future CEO Stan Lee on ideas including Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. Lee came up with the idea of a teen superhero with the powers of a spider, says BBC North America correspondent Chris Buckler. But it was Ditko who created Spider-Man's distinctive blue and red costume and the web-shooters he wore on his wrists. Ditko left the company in 1966 after reportedly falling out with Lee and went on to create superhero The Creeper with DC Comics. He avoided publicity for most of his life and refused to appear on air for the 2007 BBC film In Search of Steve Ditko. But British TV presenter Jonathan Ross, who met Ditko while making the documentary, described Ditko as "the single greatest comic book artist and creator who ever lived".

Five Indian anti-trafficking activists performing a street play were gang-raped at gunpoint in the eastern state of Jharkhand, police have confirmed. The women were forced into cars and raped in a "secluded area", police told BBC Hindi. Police say they are investigating the incident but have not made any arrests. The women were working with a non-governmental organisation (NGO) to raise awareness about human trafficking in the remote Khunti district. About 40,000 rape cases were reported in India in 2016. Many cases, however, are believed to go unreported because of the stigma that is attached to rape and sexual assault. What happened to the five women? "After performing, they headed towards a local mission school," senior police official AV Homkar told BBC Hindi's Niraj Sinha. "Around the same time, some armed people reached the school. They abducted five girls from their team and took them to a jungle and raped them. We have dedicated three teams of police to interrogate several people. Another police official told BBC Hindi the five women were now safe under police protection, awaiting the results of medical tests. Who might have been behind the attack? Officials believe the rapists could be supporters of a group that that is extremely hostile to "outsiders" entering the region. The group, which enjoys po[CENSORED]r support among the district's tribal po[CENSORED]tion, has even put up signs warning visitors about entering the area. Scrutiny of sexual violence in India has grown since the 2012 gang rape and murder of a student on a Delhi bus. This latest incident comes as the country continues to reel from a string of recent attacks. A shocking case of child rape in Kashmir made international headlines in April. Jharkhand has also been in the spotlight recently after three teenage girls were raped and set on fire in separate incidents in May.-
