It is not uncommon to find ultra-thin computers that only have one or two USB-C ports so that users would have the necessary adapters to get the ports that every laptop should have. Another common problem is the lack of storage, especially if it is soldered, which is why Satechi has launched a USB-C hub that can solve the problems of many users at once. The Satechi USB-C Hybrid Multiport Adapter is a USB-C hub that features two USB-A ports, a PD 100W compliant USB-C port, and an HDMI port capable of delivering 4K 60Hz resolution image, so that in itself, it is a fairly capable hub that will solve many needs. However, the hub is somewhat larger than usual, and that is, behind a cover at the bottom of the device, we find an M.2 slot. in which to insert an SSD drive of our choice, as long as it is SATA, in sizes 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280. The Satechi USB-C Hybrid Multiport Adapter comes at a price of $ 89.99 without an SSD drive and is compatible with practically any computer that has a USB-C port, although on its website we can see a great emphasis on Apple laptops, as well like the Microsoft Surface. There were 82 registrants, but 21 did not meet the regulatory requirements, according to a technical report. For the creation of the citizen commission for the selection of the head of the Public Defender's Office, 82 citizens applied, but only 61 could be admitted. The Council for Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPCCS) discussed meeting the night of this Saturday, October 23, to know the admissibility report prepared by a technical team, which concluded that 61 people met the requirements established in the respective regulations and did not be involved in prohibitions, to participate in the contest of merits and citizen challenge to form the citizen commission that will elect this authority. According to records, 82 people applied, but 21 would not make it past the intake phase. According to the report, among the non-compliances that citizens registered were the failure to prove a career in social organizations, in citizen participation, in the fight against corruption, or recognized prestige that evidences their civic commitment and defense of the general interest. Others did not have a third level degree, or did not present the registration form provided by the Council for Citizen Participation, or did not present the sworn statement. The plenary session of the body will decide in its plenary session whether to approve said report. Upon passing this phase, this technical team will qualify the merit scores of the candidates who are admitted, and the 30 best scored will go to a public draw in which ten citizens (five principals and five alternates) will be chosen to make up the commission, representing the citizens. Meanwhile, the Participation Council is waiting for the functions of the State, Executive, Legislative and Electoral to send their delegates to be part of this commission. The Transparency and Social Control Function (which groups nine State entities) chose as its delegates to be part of the commission the brother of politician Fernando Balda, Manuel Balda, who is currently a server of the Council, as national deputy coordinator of Administrative Management. The other candidate is Ana Hernández, who works as the national director of Citizen Attention and Education in the Superintendency of Banks. It was known that the National Court of Justice (CNJ) referred Paúl Astudillo Valdivieso and Jéssica Burbano Piedra as its candidates. The most recent study by a group of researchers from the University of Munich, in Germany, has just confirmed the po[CENSORED]r idea that "science has no limits." In the article in question, published on October 13 in the prestigious journal 'iScience', the researchers developed an experiment in which, after innovative surgeries, they succeeded in enabling a frog to survive despite having no way of breathing. With only days in fact shared, the incredible feat has been highlighted by some experts as an advance that, in the future, could represent the bases of a similar process in more complex multicellular beings such as humans. Interested in the dependence of O2 for neuronal activity in vertebrates, the researchers took specimens of African clawed frogs to investigate possible reactions during severe hypoxic situations. To this end, they deliberately suspended the brain function of some of the Xenopus laevis. Taking the animals in that state, the idea was to test ways that allow oxygenation essential for their vital development. Under this logic, taking into consideration that green algae and cyanobacteria are capable of producing oxygen through the natural process of photosynthesis, a surgical insertion of tiny organisms was presented as the process to follow to achieve the task. We have already been able to test the more familiar body variant of the BMW 4 Series, which adopts the surname Gran Coupé in reference to the adoption of the two rear access doors to the second row of seats. This has a starting price of 50,550 euros and the engines range from 184 to 374 hp, in diesel and gasoline variants. In recent years we have seen more practical and familiar alternatives to BMW's benchmark coupes, such as the 8 Series Gran Coupé or the 2 Series Gran Coupé. Now history repeats itself with the benchmark coupe for the brand, and we have finally been able to see live and direct the most practical and familiar model in the range of some of BMW's most beloved models. The Series 4 gains two doors and with it a much higher level of practicality but without losing an iota of its legacy, which meets a second generation more attractive and practical than ever. As we will already know, the BMW 4 Series can be purchased in 3 well differentiated bodies: Coupé, Cabrio and Gran Coupé. We already know the first two, but let's see what it offers us in this last variant. To get started, keeping it simple and to the point: add two doors. But this would be pulling towards an overly simplistic point of view, since to get to know this new body in depth, we must go a step beyond what is most apparently visible. As we will already know, the BMW 4 Series can be purchased in 3 well differentiated bodies: Coupé, Cabrio and Gran Coupé. We already know the first two, but let's see what it offers us in this last variant. To get started, keep it simple and straightforward: add two doors. But this would be pulling towards an excessively simplistic point of view, since to get to know this new body in depth you have to go a step beyond what is apparently more visible. In this second generation, the trunk sees how its cargo space has been slightly reduced by 10 liters of volume, if we compare it with the previous generation. That one offered a capacity of 480 liters, while in this new one the figure stands at 470 liters. This happens as a result of providing the row of seats with a larger and more generous living space. For this, the position of these has been delayed, with the consequent reduction in the cargo space that, on the other hand, we must say that it continues to be more than generous, and we will not miss those tiny 10 liters that we have left along the way. . In case we need more space, its rear seats fold down in a 40:20:40 ratio, leaving us with a cargo volume of 1,290 liters and a space with a remarkably flat floor. In the technological section, the operating system that installs this 4 Series Gran Coupé is the BMW 7.0 that we already know from the rest of the variants in the range, as well as from other models such as the BMW 3 Series. This optionally incorporates the instrument panel digital display and the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, which can be selected via the BMW Live Cockpit Professional which is included as an optional package. Many of you could say that this is a body that already sounds like you have known for months, and you would be right, since this image was advanced by the electric variant of it, called BMW i4, which we could take as a mechanical alternative more within the interesting range of engines offered by the 4 Series, although it offers other novelties that have not yet been coupled to the current generation of the 4 Series, such as the BMW 8.0 operating system, with larger screens located in a new distribution, as well as a contribution of information through renewed graphics. But since we talk about the different mechanics of this 4 Series Gran Coupé, this offer the same variants that we already know from the rest of the bodies. In the gasoline section we find three options: 420i Gran Coupé with 184 hp, 430i Gran Coupé with 245 hp and the M440i xDrive Gran Coupé with 374 hp. The latter is offered for the first time in a 4 Series Gran Coupé and is the sportier and more performance alternative offered by the 4 Series Gran Coupé. In the diesel section, only a mechanic called 420d Gran Coupe is offered, which provides a maximum power of 190 hp. All install an 8-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox, which transfers all the power to the rear axle or, in the specific case of the M440i xDrive, also through all four wheels. In the middle of next year 2022 a new version of propulsion for the M440i is expected to arrive, as well as a more powerful mechanic to complete the diesel range, called 430d that will bring 286 hp and a 3-liter block under the hood. In the cases of the M440i xDrive and 420d, they install a light hybridization system by 48 V battery, which provides a small electrical support to the combustion engine in order to reduce fuel consumption, in addition to providing it with the coveted ECO label of the DGT. This aforementioned support will be noticeable in the performance of the so-called sail effect, with which we can maintain constant speed during a trip on the highway; at the start of the vehicle, or at key moments of punctual acceleration where we will gain 11 HP during a small range of time. As the last important mechanical element, the 4 Series Gran Coupé adopts the 3 types of damping already known: standard, M Sport and Adaptive M. In the safety and driving aids section, this car incorporates some well-known solutions such as multiple assistants, semi-autonomous driving with which we can even change lanes by simply pressing the turn signal, and which will be available for use up to a speed 200 km / h. It also incorporates the head-up display or the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, to which we can give orders or make requests, such as starting the guidance to a destination or turning on the air conditioning. In addition to this, it can also incorporate the well-known Parking Assistant with Reversing Assistang, with which the car will memorize our route of the last 50 meters and will be able to do it again even if several days have passed since our last route. The supply chain shortage strikes once again. This time it's bumped the price of the wonderful Raspberry Pi. Price is a fundamental part of the Raspberry Pi's charm. It may not be the most powerful computer you can get your hands on, even though it's capable of some amazing things, but it's so cheap that it can be used without worrying about the cost. Which makes news about a price increase that little bit tougher to bear. In a blog post on the official site, Eben Upton, the head honcho of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, is keen to point out, "These changes in pricing are not here to stay. As global supply chain issues moderate, we’ll keep revisiting this issue, and we want to get pricing back to where it was as fast as we can." The price increase only affects one particular RPi model, namely the 2GB version of the Raspberry Pi 4. This originally cost $35 when it was introduced, and has been selling well at that price. Possibly too well. Due to supply shortages, the Raspberry Pi Foundation can no longer afford to produce them at that price, and so have had to increase the price to $45. The price to fabricate a chip has reportedly been increasing as of late, in a large part due to the ongoing chip supply crisis. That's already wreaked havoc on budget PC gaming, and now other cheap chips are seemingly feeling the pressure. LINK: https://www.pcgamer.com/raspberry-pi-price-increase/

Latest Edge Dev build includes new features and a number of fixes After releasing the new Chromium-based version of Edge last year, Microsoft has continued to update its browser with new features in an attempt to get even more users to make the switch from Google Chrome. For those that want to be the first ones to gain access to all of the new features coming to its browser, the software giant offers three different Microsoft Edge Insider Channels including the Beta Channel, Dev Channel and Canary Channel. While the Beta Channel is updated every four weeks, the Dev Channel is updated weekly and the Canary Channel is updated daily. Microsoft has now released its new v96.0.1047.2 build for Edge Dev channel users which packs in a number of new features including support for adding Citations to items in a Collection, support for the Super Duper Secure Mode flag on Linux and more. New Dev Channel update Although the latest Edge Dev channel update should download and install automatically, if it doesn't, users can head to Edge's settings menu to manually update the browser. This new update contains a whole load of useful tools and you can see the full list of new features and fixes by checking out this blog post from Microsoft. First off, the company has added support for showing the Downloads menu and button in popup windows that don't have a standard address bar or toolbar. As we mentioned above, Microsoft is also testing out support for adding Citations to items in a Collection which can be quite useful when using Edge for research. Security-conscious users running Edge on Linux will also appreciate the addition of the Super Duper Secure Mode flag which trades speed for improved security. Microsoft has included a number of fixes for common issues such as the browser not letting users sign in, proxy settings be ignored, the new tap page being rendered incorrectly, tabs closing unexpectedly and more. As this new update is for the Dev Chanel version of Edge, users on the regular channel can expect to see these features and fixes roll out with the next major release of Microsoft's browser soon. The loopholes have since been fixed," Tencent said in a statement. Tencent's WeChat has fixed a glitch that allowed some of its content to be searchable by external search engines, the owner of China's most po[CENSORED]r messaging app said on Friday, raising questions over regulators' latest attempt to crackdown on the internet sector. Some of WeChat's content, including articles on its public accounts page, was briefly searchable in the last few days on Alphabet-owned Google and Microsoft's Bing, but not on China's dominant search engine Baidu, Reuters checks showed. The change had prompted speculation that Tencent was heeding a call by Chinese authorities for its tech giants to tear down "walled gardens" in the country's cyberspace which has come amid a wide ranging crackdown on the sector. "Due to recent technological upgrades, the official accounts' robots protocol had loopholes, which caused the external crawlers to scrape part of the official accounts' content," Tencent said in a statement in Chinese. "The loopholes have since been fixed." Google, Microsoft, and Baidu did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Google is not available in China. The ability to find WeChat content on Google and Bing was initially raised by users on developer forums. China's internet sector has been long dominated by a handful of technology giants who have historically blocked rivals' links as well as their search crawlers, a practice is often referred to as 'walled gardens'. In recent months, this practice has been targeted by Chinese authorities as part of a sweeping regulatory crackdown. Last month, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) ordered companies to stop blocking links, which they said has affected users' experience and damaged consumer rights. The MIIT has also been studying plans and conducting research to make WeChat content available on external search engines, according to a person with direct knowledge. Fixes went out today for two Ryzen-related Windows 11 problems. Fixes for two Windows 11 performance issues discovered at the beginning of October are now available for download. The bugs hindered the performance of some Ryzen CPUs after upgrading to Windows 11. AMD just put up an update on its knowledge base blog, flagging both items as "issue solved; solution available." "As of October 21, 2021: Windows 11 update KB5006746 fully resolves the performance impact of Issue 1 described in this article," reads the blog post. "AMD Chipset Driver 3.10.08.506 fully resolves the performance impact of Issue 2 described in this article. AMD has verified that the performance and behavior of compatible AMD processors are working as intended on Windows 11 subsequent to the installation of these updates. AMD and Microsoft recommend that users promptly install this update on affected systems." Issue 1 was a problem with the measured and functional L3 cache latency nearly tripling on certain apps and games (meaning that the CPU was accessing its memory way too slowly). Issue 2 was with AMD's "Preferred Core" feature not working correctly. Preferred Core allows users to assign apps to the fastest core on the chip manually. Lamborghini Squadra Corse is closer than ever to confirming its LMDh project for the 2024 season. The bet of the Italian firm will be a 'racing-client' program at the WEC and IMSA, in the purest style of its GT3 project. Lamborghini Squadra Corse continues to take the necessary steps to shape and confirm its LMDh program for the 2024 WEC and IMSA season. With the approval of the leadership of the Italian manufacturer, the brand's competition department is already working to find the teams that will support the project, since it seems clear that as a VAG Group brand, the development of the chassis of its LMDh prototype will be manufacturing by Multimatic, since it has been the partner chosen by two other brands in the group such as Porsche and Audi for their designated LMDh projects. Giorgio Sanna, head of Lamborghini Squadra Corse, has explained from the outset that the brand's LMDh program will have many similarities with the 'racing-customer' model that the brand has in the GT3 category. Lamborghini will offer technical and financial assistance, as well as official factory drivers, but there will not be an official factory team and there will be teams with a semi-official profile that will execute the different LMDh prototypes at both the WEC and IMSA. Along these lines, Lamborghini is in contact with the teams that have shown their interest in the LMDh category on both sides of the Atlantic. According to leaks, the upcoming 12th Gen Intel chip may be a rather performant beasti Overlocked Intel Alder Lake CPUs are going to be power-hungry, if recent benchmark leaks are anything to go by, though it might not be as bad as you think. Twitter leaker 9550pro—who posted a CPU-Z benchmark of the apparent retail version of the upcoming 12th Gen chip—claims its full-on power consumption may reach heights of 330W. For context, its actually a tiny fraction less than that of some older CPUs, such as the Intel Core i9 10900K CPU which sucks 331W when overclocked to 5.3GHz. This is a 10-core CPU, mind you, while the Intel Core i9 12900K is a 16-core processor, with eight Performance Cores and eight Efficient Cores, thanks to the hybrid Alder Lake architecture. So, while 330W may sound like a fair whack, compared to previous generations we're still looking at a pretty substantial increase in efficiency on a per-core basis. Intel has decided to slip some new high-efficiency cores into its Alder Lake architecture. Adding efficiency cores into the design should help with some of the heavy lifting, and these are way more exciting for PC gaming than you might think. Anyway, these apparent Alder Lake overclock benchmark scores see the new chip's eight Golden Cove performance cores (P-cores) running at 5.2GHz, and eight Gracemont efficiency cores (E-cores) at 3.7GHz, as an update to the original Twitter post confirms. That's a CPU-Z score of 851 over the Ryzen's 648, as well as a multithread score of 11,986.9, compared to the 11,906 of the 5950X. Not bad at all, so long as we're looking at the real deal, and not some hoax meant to get us all excited. LINK: https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-alder-lake-cpu-benchmark-scores-leaked/

As a result of the update, the annual Amazon Prime membership will be available at Rs. 1,499, up from the existing Rs. 999. The changes will also come into effect for the monthly and quarterly Amazon Prime membership plans in the country, the company confirmed to Gadgets 360. Amazon Prime brings early access to online sales as well as includes benefits such as Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Reading, and Prime Gaming. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed to Gadgets 360 that the Prime membership in India is being revised from Rs. 999 to Rs. 1,499 for the annual plan, Rs. 329 to Rs. 459 for the quarterly plan, and Rs. 129 to Rs. 179 for the monthly plan. The change in the pricing is planned to be implemented “very soon”, though Amazon has not yet provided an exact date on when customers will start getting the revised prices. “Since the launch five years ago in IN, Prime has continued to increase the value it offers members. Prime provides an unparalleled combination of shopping, savings and entertainment benefits to make life more convenient and entertaining every single day, and we continue to invest in making Prime even more valuable for customers,” the spokesperson said. Amazon has updated its webpage showing the Prime membership fee. The company has also started informing customers about the update through its online marketplace, as noticed by OnlyTech. In addition to the regular subscribers, customers who have joined Amazon Prime as a part of their telecom plan will also see an increase in the pricing, the company said on its updated webpage. On the part of existing Prime members, Amazon said that users could continue their membership for the duration their membership plan was at the current price. “However, after the price change you can choose to renew your membership at the new price,” the company noted. However, the subscription in this case will be available at an effective price of Rs. 499 a year, down from the existing Rs. 749. The monthly and quarterly Prime membership charges for young customers will also be dropped to effectively Rs. 64 and Rs. 164 from Rs. 89 and Rs. 299, respectively.
