When you think it is difficult to innovate in the world of technology, Japan comes and presents you with a product that you had never stopped to think about. It is a thermal paste, widely used for the maintenance of our processors, but with a smell, yes, with a smell.
In this case it is a paste that smells like apple, we cannot give much opinion, since we have to have a smell physically to be able to feel it, but we can imagine a little where the product would go. Let's see it.
A thermal paste with a smell?
The product does not have much to comment on, you can all imagine what the thing is about. In this case it has been a collaboration between M1N1ing and Clock Work Tea Party, who have decided to create something different, and hey, it might work for them, if it were a thermal paste like any other we wouldn't be talking about it.
Its name is Extreme Muglis 4G Apple Edition EG4GAP, in case you want to look for it to purchase it. And no, it is not a design for Apple, but it has a smell of that fruit.
This model is a copy of an existing one, with the same specifications, but without the apple smell, so, apart from that, it would not have anything new that would make it special.
Now, will it really smell like apple? This is something difficult to verify, and I think we will be left wanting, since, despite its price, which is around 6.50 euros in exchange, the quantity has been limited to 1,000 units, we do not know if for a simple precaution because they don't know if it will sell well or not, or because they want it to be something exclusive and won't release more. Be that as it may, we find it difficult to smell it, although it may be curious, and an idea for other manufacturers to start doing the same.
Regarding its general characteristics, it has a thermal conductivity of 12.8 W/mK or more when new, and at least 8.8 W/mK after 5 years. Its temperature range would go from -50 to 220 ℃, enough to meet the needs of any CPU. All this in a container with 4 grams of product.
Will it smell when the processor heats up? Or will it only be a product that we can appreciate when applying it? Since it would be curious if when we are testing a video game and our CPU suffers it starts to smell like an apple. As a warning that it is getting hot it would be very funny.
