F-Zero is one of those great games that the most veterans have in their memory from when they had a Super Nintendo back in the 90s. Some races from the future, with aircraft that levitate above the ground and move on circuits created thanks to that magical mode 7 of the Japanese console. Now, as you know, it is available on Switch under the name F-Zero 99. That tagline of adding a 99 to the name of a classic is a trend that Nintendo has launched within its online service and that before F-Zero, reached Pac-Man and Tetris. Basically it's about enjoying those legends from video game history with a small change, since we will have to face 98 other players at the same time. Simultaneously. F-Zero 99 is very difficult The fact is that this multiplayer version of F-Zero is triumphing among fans of the original cartridge but it has an element that makes it especially complicated, unplayable, and that is the number of opponents that run at the same time as us and that collapse the circuit. This transforms the experience into a development where the important thing, more than knowing how to drive, is knowing how to avoid. That is why Nintendo has had to receive feedback from the players and has chosen to make a unique decision which is to lower that difficulty a bit and stop showing off that 99, reducing it to only 20 participants per test. In this way you get an experience much closer to that of the original Super Nintendo game. In that wonder of the last century, what was really important was knowing how to handle the ship, take the curves as close to the interior as possible and look for powerups to accelerate and take advantage. Unfortunately, in mode 99 of the game on Nintendo Switch, that purpose was eclipsed by the number of participants who barely left us room to demonstrate the good hands we have behind the wheel. It was all crashes. Other improvements that also arrive Just reducing the 99 participants to just 20 will allow the dynamics of F-Zero to be completely different and for the races to become that again, and not a traffic jam where, by losing position in the first turns, we are already relegated to the back of the classification. But in addition to this change, others also arrive, such as the limitation of the use of the turbo exclusively to the last lap and the prohibition of being able to perform spin attacks. In this way, Nintendo refines the experience a little more and focuses it on the player's skill, as was already the case in Pac-Man 99 or Tetris 99 where we only played in front of the machine and, yes, competing at the same time against others but without the inconvenience of preventing us from showing what we know how to do. With this free update, F-Zero 99 is now an F-Zero like the one we remembered from Super Nintendo where the important thing was our ability to drive between curves and some adversaries. And not stuck on a highway like we were going to work in the morning. https://hardzone.es/noticias/juegos/juega-gratis-ahora-fzero-99-switch/

Ayaneo would have finally presented its AM01 Mini PC, a computer inspired by a retro computer, which, despite not being the most powerful today, has features and price that can make it very interesting for nostalgic people. It's been a month since we showed it to you for the first time, but today we are going to make a specific article for it, and show you all its details, price and how you can get it if it finally catches your attention and you want to get one. This is Ayaneo's Retro mini PC The first thing we will comment on is its design, although just with the image we can get an idea. A retro style, from the 80s and 90s, which would come equipped with more modern ports, so that we can use it today, on top of its structure. These would be, 3x USB 3.2 Gen2, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, USB 2, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, 3.5 mm audio, and the power adapter. That is, in terms of connectivity we would not fall short. Regarding the internal hardware, we see an AMD Ryzen 3 3200U or Ryzen 7 5700U processor, depending on our choice, as well as 8 GB of RAM (up to 32 GB) and storage, also to be chosen, from 256 GB to 2 TB. This device, despite being more of a desktop PC than a laptop (although it is small), also has WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. At cooling levels they promise great performance, with a turbo fan and 4 heat pipes, as well as its heatsink. All of this is enough to maintain the temperature in an optimal range. Now, we already know that it is not the best on the market, but hey, due to its design and features, it is a curious option, but how much is it worth? And this is the best part, since we can get it for only 149 dollars, about 135 euros. Although it will depend on the model chosen, since if we improve its basic hardware, it will go up a little. To do this we will have to do it from the project financing website, which we leave you here, and which gives you the discount when you place the preorder, yes, it is a quick pre-sale, because next month we will have it in our homes, we will not have to wait a long time, maybe even just a few days. Of course, there are limited units, so if you want it, don't expect much, for that price, the truth is that, even if it is just for decoration, it is quite interesting, and the best thing is that it is functional. If we choose the AMD Ryzen 7 5700U option together with 32 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, something that we would already consider a "good" PC, it would only cost us 329 dollars in pre-sale, which would mean about 299 euros. Something very similar to what we could acquire outside of this market and that, by no means has such a peculiar design. In short, if you are a few years old and miss this type of computer, it is time to buy one that is fully functional, cheap and with a very striking design, especially for those of us who already use a similar one. Of course, the performance of this one compared to those has nothing to do with it. https://hardzone.es/noticias/equipos/nuevo-mini-pc-retro-ayaneo-am01/

Resident Evil has had a busy few years, not only because of the releases of installments VII and VIII but also because of the success of the Japanese in reviving old classics of the franchise such as the first four installments. Something that is leading the way for all those companies that seek to remake some of their hits from a few years ago with remakes. What's more, these new Resident Evils have been so successful that the fourth is nominated for best title of the year in the 2023 edition of the Game Awards, so it is normal that when the river of possible releases that Capcom is working on sounds, it is It is logical that everyone speculates that we are on the verge of meeting a new member of the survival horror family. Nothing at all from Code Veronica? The fact is that after the release this year of Resident Evil 4, everyone began to speculate about what the new remake of the franchise would be and practically everyone was convinced that this step would be to bring Code Veronica to the present. One of the most iconic deliveries that first arrived at the beginning of the year 200 for that legendary console that was the SEGA Dreamcast. So all these months we have been convinced that Resident Evil Code Veronica would be the new remake in progress, once it was ruled out that the controversial Resident Evil 5 could be in the pool. But unfortunately, neither one nor the other seems to appear on the horizon because Capcom's plans are, at this time, for other radically different scenarios. You know which one is? Capcom explores other territories This is more or less expressed by a social media user who is followed for offering very juicy exclusives from the world of gaming. His name is Dusk Golem, and he has come to say that we forget about seeing new Resident Evil in the short term, that is, throughout 2024, because the Japanese are focusing on exploring other possible franchises and opening new paths for the future. to the future. What's more, in one of his latest messages he has made it clear that Capcom will announce before the end of the year a new project that everything indicates could be a new IP and that would reach stores before 2025. In this way, it would reduce the euphoria of those who believe that it could be a Resident Evil. Now, if it is not a new saga, could it be a new Monster Hunter with an update to its graphics engine? Well, it could be, because the famous franchise will turn 20 years old in March 2024 and the Japanese want to celebrate it in style. And it wouldn't be the first time they have done it with one of their IPs which, as you know, they have been making us enjoy indiscriminately for 40 years. That's what it means to be one of the most established developers that exist and that has been with us since the dawn of the gaming world in the 80s. https://hardzone.es/noticias/juegos/capcom-echa-freno-nuevos-resident-evil/

That since the Pandemic the mini PC market has been booming is something that we all already know, and the manufacturers that are dedicated to it are trying harder than ever to offer new models that are increasingly more powerful, efficient and with better designs. One of the most recognized mini PC manufacturers is GEEKOM (of which we have already reviewed a handful of mini PCs and have been delighted with their performance/quality ratio), who have now presented (but not launched) their first mini PC equipped with one of the next AMD Phoenix APUs... but in addition to this, it has a very curious design that is very reminiscent of an Apple Mac Mini. Like everything in life, mini PCs have many advantages but also drawbacks; The advantages are obvious: they take up very little space, they have very low consumption and also a low sound level, but the main disadvantage is that except for the TOP models, they cannot compete in performance with a desktop PC, and of course neither They are suitable for gaming. In any case, thanks to their small size and low consumption, they have become an ideal tool for those who need to have a computer at home but do not want to complicate their lives with a complete desktop PC, nor do they need its performance. The mini PC with AMD Phoenix that looks like a Mac Mini Unfortunately, what the manufacturer of this mini PC has done is simply publish what is known as a teaser, a preview in which they have shown a couple of photographs and little else. This means that we do not know the complete technical specifications of the device, but they have said that it will be offered in configurations based on AMD Phoenix APUs, specifically Ryzen 7 7840HS and Ryzen 9 7940HS. But apart from that, the biggest novelty is found in its design, which is quite far from the Intel NUC format (well, or ASUS NUC) to which we are accustomed and which looks like a clear copy of Apple's Mac Mini, with dimensions of 112.4 x 112.4 x 37 mm (it is actually smaller than a Mac mini) with the exterior part made of aluminum and that black plastic area on the back where we also have the connections, although it is true that, at the same time, Contrary to what we find in Apple's mini PCs, we also have a pair of USB ports, the audio jack and the power button on the front. As you can see, on the back we find the power connector, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, two HDMI, a USB 3.1, a USB 2.0, another USB-C but in this case 3.1 and the RJ-45 2.5 GbE for cable connection to the Internet. On the side there is an SD card reader, while on the front we have two other USB 3.1 Type-A ports, in addition to the aforementioned combo minijack connector for audio (headphones and microphone) and the power button (Mac Minis have it behind). GEEKOM is expected to launch this new mini PC whose name is still initially unknown in Asia during the next month, and in early 2024 it should reach the rest of the world. As for the price, there is no official information from the manufacturer either, but if we stick to the precedents and similar models from the competition, we should be talking about a device worth around €600, assuming that it comes with 32 GB of RAM and 2 TB of NVMe SSD. . https://hardzone.es/noticias/equipos/mini-pc-amd-phoenix/

If it wasn't the first, it was almost missing, but certainly when it comes to arcades and home systems we are facing one of those pioneering sagas that dared to take the old 2D fighting games and transform them into 3D phenomena that have played since 1994 tens of millions of gamers around the planet. Or maybe you don't know the legendary Virtua Fighter? This franchise was the first to set foot on a console like SegaSaturn, leaving everyone practically amazed, although the subsequent fall of SEGA as a hardware manufacturer relegated it to the background. Luckily, the Japanese never threw in the towel with it and proof of this is the news that we bring you today about one of their most memorable developments. Traditional soul, modern functions The fact is that Virtua Fighter 3 is back, no more and no less than 25 years later, and SEGA has seen fit to do so with a function that right now is essential in practically any development that hits the market, such as the possibility to compete against other players over the internet. And in the case of this fighting game, it was not going to be an exception. The fact is that SEGA has announced the arrival of this Virtua Fighter 3 tb Online that will currently only arrive at the arcades in Japan and with the possibility of offering online games through the furniture itself, which is an advance to fight for the ranking live world championship, as we compete within the establishment itself. This online mode will not be different from the one that Virtua Fighter 5 already had and in the case of the Japanese arcades, players will be able to take their statistics and results of each fight with them through a card system that identifies us within the platform, and allows us to save scores and our classification within the world total of the recreational game. Virtua Fighter 3 only in Japan? The bad news about all this is that, for now, Virtua Fighter 3 tb Online will only be available in arcades in that country and there do not seem to be any plans for it to make the leap to those here – of which there are few left –, even if In the future, SEGA itself is considering bringing this update to next-gen consoles such as PS5 or Xbox Series X|S and the PC itself. But don't rule out at this point that if things work out and the clamor for the return of this classic franchise becomes increasingly evident, the Japanese won't decide that it's time to put a new Virtua Fighter on the shelves. Especially considering that the last one arrived for PS4 no more and no less than almost three years ago, in January 2021. It was a Virtua Fighter 5 that is still valid for many crazy people of this SEGA fighting saga that still exists today. Today it still has a legion of unconditional fans. Are you a Virtua Fighter fan or do you prefer Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter? Tell me tell me… https://hardzone.es/noticias/juegos/virtua-fighter-vuelve-funcion-llevabas-tiempo-esperando/

Although Christmas is approaching and demand usually causes prices to rise, we are in a time in which graphics cards and other components such as SSDs are dropping their prices, achieving offers and values not seen before. Today we are going with the case of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE, which we have already been able to see for only 600 euros in a European store, specifically in Latvia. Which could bring that price closer to the rest of the countries and even get some to reduce it even more. AMD RX 7900 GRE for 600 euros And yes, it has been in a European country where we have been able to see the RX 7900 GRE for only 603 euros to be exact. And we only say, despite being a high price, because it is much lower than what we are seeing lately. At this moment it would be around 700 euros (hopefully) in Spanish stores, so we would be talking about a drop of about 100 euros, thus positioning it at a value very similar to what it would have at the exchange rate in dollars on other continents. It was a few months ago when we presented it, however, its release was exclusive to the Asian market, without knowing if it would finally reach the rest. It seems so, and the current price is already similar to what we saw in its day for the rest of the world, so there is not much left for this stability to reach everyone and we can acquire this high-end GPU for a much more cost according to its performance. This change may be due not only to the general drop in GPU prices as we said at the beginning, but also to the increase in the euro against the dollar, with about a 5% gain in the last 30 days, which makes This percentage can also be reflected in a drop in the European market. Be that as it may, this card can now be purchased for lower prices, which are even close to those of the RX 7800 lower than 600 euros, we would talk about one of the best options in relation to quality and price in this range. All Radeon 7000 models are suffering from this trend, so if you are thinking about any model in this series, it could be a good time to purchase it, although you never know if they may continue to decline, hopefully so. It must be taken into account that the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER would be scheduled for January, so, with just over a month left, lowering their prices to try to maximize possible sales before the release of NVIDIA graphics is another of the possible causes of these drops, thus trying to get people to have a recent GPU and not show interest in the new ones from the competition. At the time of writing this news, the price would have dropped by 1 cent (a ridiculous change) but its availability would continue without problems, so there would be no lack of stock despite the price on offer. https://hardzone.es/noticias/tarjetas-graficas/amd-radeon-rx-7900-gre-europa-600-euros/
