Asadar: Download and extract the file “WindowsMediaCenter_10.0.10134.0.zip” through this address. Look for the file “_TestRights.cmd”, right click it, and then click “Run as administrator.” A command prompt window will appear. Reboot your PC after. Look for the file “Installer.cm,” right click on it, and then click “Run as administrator.” One the installer is done, a message will display saying “Press any key to exit.” That’s it!

Asus ROG Sets Sights on Casual Gamers with G11 Gaming Desktop Given the choice, we always prefer to roll our own rigs. It's what sets us apart from the casual crowd. However, if you're feeling lazy this time around but still want to swim in Skylake, you might be interested in the new G11 desktop from Asus' Republic of Gamers (ROG) division. Asus says it's taking aim at casual gamers with the G11, and by that it means gamers who aren't really into overclocking or tinkering. Hence why it features an Intel Core i7-6700 Skylake processor -- it's a fast chip but lacks an unlocked multiplier. Even without overclocked parts, the G11 doesn't have to be a slouch. It can be configured with up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 RAM, up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 graphics card with 4GB of GDDR5 memory, and up to four 256GB M.2 PCI-E 3.0 x4 solid state drives with up to a 3TB SATA HDD for storage. Other features include built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 wireless connectivity, 300W or 500W power supply, Blu-ray writer, 7.1 channel audio, USB 3.1 Gen 2, Windows 10, and a "[CENSORED]uristic chassis design with Myan-inspired markings" and customizable LED lighting. It also comes with a wireless chiclet gaming keyboard with backlight. Asus didn't say when the G11 will be available or what the starting price will be.

Acer Revo Build Series Acer also revealed a new "block"-based modular PC system called the Revo Build. Magnetic pins secure the Revo Build's base to the components above it. You can easily add extras to the system without tools or cables. The Acer Revo Build Series is built around Intel Pentium and Celeron CPUs, with up to 8GB of RAM (but that's built into the base, and you can't yet add more by just stacking another block on top). The blocks connect via a magnetic/electrical pin connection, so there's nothing to plug in, you just stack them and they link up. The Revo Build M1-601 will begin selling in Europe starting in October, with build prices starting at 199 euros.

Samsung SleepSense IFA Berlin - 4 - 9 September 2015 The Samsung SleepSense slips under your bed and tracks our movements while you sleep. Samsung claims the device is 97 percent accurate at reading your sleep patterns, and it uses that info to generate sleep reports each morning with tailored advice on how to get a better night's rest. Samsung hasn't announced what the asking price for SleepSense will be yet, when we'll see it in stores, or where it will be sold (though a company representative tells me to expect a global launch).

ASUS RT-AC5300U 802.11AC 5333 Mbit/s Tri-Band Wireless Router Announced ASUS has announced their next flagship router the RT-AC5300U. The RT-AC5300U is a Triple-Band 802.11AC router that is designed to give a total throughput of 5.3Gb/s speeds for its users! Specifically, the new router will provide 1 Gbit/s on 2.4 GHz and up to 2.167 Gbit/s on each of its 5 GHz bands. With this improvement in speed over the 2.4GHz radio, this would make it the fastest Tri-band router on the market. From the limited specifications ASUS has provided, the RT-AC5300U looks to be powered by a new Broadcom SoC. From the initial images that we have been provided, you can see the eight external antennas that are designed to provide the ultimate in Wi-Fi coverage. It is not clear how big the unit is or the power usage. The ASUS RT-AC5300U has been announce for Q4 of this year and pricing will be announced closer to its availability.

Asus ROG Teases Liquid Cooled GX700 Gaming Laptop We expected to see some interesting products based on Intel's unlocked Core i7-6820HK Skylake processor for laptops, but it didn't occur to us that a company would use it as the foundation of a liquid gaming notebook. Apparently it occurred to Asus. One of the many products it's showing off at IFA is its ROG GX700, which is the "world's first water cooled gaming laptop." Unfortunately Asus is keeping pretty tight lipped about the specifics, saying only that it boasts an overclocked sixth generation Intel K-SKU processor (the only one we know of is the aforementioned Core i7-6820HK) the latest Nvidia graphics processor, and a 17-inch IPS display with a 4K resolution. Judging by the press photo, an external apparatus provides the system's liquid cooling. It's pretty bulky and negates the mobilty of a laptop, though we suspect (hope, really) it detaches rather easily so that you can still take the GX700 with you without lugging around an external box. Asus also unveiled the ROG G752, another Skylake laptop but cooled with air. There will be three SKUs available, two with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor and one with an optional upgrade to the 6820HK. According to Anandtech, The lowest end (G752VL) sports up to 64GB of DDR4-2133 RAM, GeForce 965M GPU, 128GB or 256GB NVMe SSD, up to a 2TB HDD, and Windows 10. Stepping up to the G752VT gets you an upgrade to a GeForce GTX 970M (3GB and 6GB options available), and the G752VY bumps it up to a 4GB or 8GB 980M, along with an option to upgrade to a 4K display. Pricing for the G752 will start at $1,499.

Sony has unveiled the first smartphone to feature a 4K-resolution screen. It means the Xperia Z5 Premium can both capture video in "ultra-high definition" quality and then play it back on its 5.5in (14cm) display without downgrading the footage. All the firm's Z5 handsets also feature a new camera module - the first time the part has been completely overhauled since 2013's original Z1 handset. Sony's mobile division loses money, but its camera components are profitable. Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei are among rival handset-makers to have used earlier generations of the Japanese company's photo-capture technologies. However, Sony said the 23 megapixel sensor involved was being kept as an "exclusive" to its own devices for the time being. The company recently forecast its handset business would rack up a 60bn yen ($500m; £326m) operating loss in its current financial year. But it forecast its image sensor wing - which also makes parts for bigger cameras - would generate 580bn yen ($4.8bn; £3.1bn) of sales over the same period. Sony hopes its mobile phones will become profitable again in 2016, but its chief executive told the BBC in March that there was "no guarantee" it would still be making handsets in five years time if a turnaround failed to happen. Big battery Sony unveiled its new Android-powered handsets at Berlin's Ifa tech show. The company acknowledged that there was still a limited amount of professional content available in 4K - which provides about four times the number of pixels as 1080p high definition video. But it said the Z5 Premium would upscale videos streamed from YouTube and Netflix to take advantage of the display. Its competition will include Samsung's recently announced S5K3P3 sensor, which has a lower resolution of 16 megapixels but has been designed to be very thin to offer "minimal camera protrusion" from slimline handsets. Low light Sony's new camera module benefits from the introduction of a "closed-loop actuator" stabilisation system. This adds a position sensor to the part, which is used to detect small disturbances and then compensate for them by making the lens move up and down in its housing in a related fashion. As a result, it should be able to film less jerky video clips. The addition of a sixth camera element causes more light to fall on to the sensor, which should aid low-light photography. Fruit phone Other companies that launched new smartphones at Ifa on Wednesday included: Huawei - its Mate S features a "force touch" screen that can determine different levels of pressure, in a similar fashion to the Apple Watch. The Chinese firm showed off the feature by using it to weigh an orange Acer - its Predator 6 is targeted at hardcore gamers. The handset has four gigabytes of RAM memory, four speakers and a ten-core processor, which gives the phone more scope to ramp up its computational power when necessary Asus - its Zenfone Zoom features a 3x optical zoom camera, meaning that owners will be able to get close-up shots without sacrificing image resolution

Microsoft Now Lets You Disable Automatic App Updates in Windows 10 Microsoft's been catching some heat over its forced update policy in Windows 10, though it's hoping to douse some of the flames by now allowing users to disable automatic app updates through the Windows Store. There's no official blog post from Microsoft announcing the new capability, though after you install the recently released Windows 10 Cumulative Update 5 and reboot your Windows 10 PC, you'll find that the option to disable app updates is no longer grayed out. To access it, go the Windows Store, click on your profile image, and select Settings. Assuming you're rocking the latest Windows 10 updates, you should now be able to flip the switch under "Update apps automatically" from On to Off, should you want to. Don't confuse this newfound capability with Microsoft's mandatory Windows OS updates. Windows 10 Home users are still forced to install security updates, and as we saw recently when a bad update resulted in some users being stuck in an endless reboot loop, the policy can have unintended negative consequences. Windows 10 Pro users can delay security updates for up to eight months. Might that option one day be available to Home users? The answer probably depends on how well automatic updates work in the [CENSORED]ure and how much pressure Microsoft receives from the public.

The Dream PC 2015 To boldly go where no Dream Machine has gone before Last year, we as maximumPC team said we would need to build this year’s Dream Machine in space to beat our 2014 über-desk PC. That’s why this year’s Dream Machine is upping the ante by going out-of-this-world with a NASA motif. Specifically, we’re modeling our Dream Machine after NASA’s iconic 1960s Titan II Gemini Launch Vehicle, which was powered by Titan II missiles. Dream Machine 2015, coincidentally, is powered by Titan rockets of its own; specifically, four supercharged Titan X GPUs. We mainly went with this theme, though, because we think NASA and its space programs are cool. Really, who doesn’t? Historically, NASA has been known for giving mankind a cutting-edge glimpse of the [CENSORED]ure of technology and innovation—topics that Dream Machine tries to evoke each and every year. The space program also embodies the spirit of what it means to dream big. It’s the perfect theme for this year’s Dream Machine. Unlike the computers that powered the Titan II GLV, however, our Dream Machine is orders of magnitudes more powerful than all the command centers on Earth back in the ’60s, as you will no doubt discover in the following pages. Stellar components If money were no object, what would the best PC look like? That’s a question that Dream Machine has always tried to answer, and this year’s build is no different. We’ve filled every PCI-e, RAM, and SATA slot we could with the highest-grade components that we could find. Make no mistake, this PC has enough horsepower to reach relativistic speeds. 1) GPUs: We grabbed the single fastest graphics card on Earth, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX Titan X, and then we grabbed three more and put them into SLI. Oh, did we mention that they are all liquid cooled and heavily overclocked? 2) Water cooling: Allowing our rockets to run at full capacity is our liquid-fueled custom dual-loop system from EKWB. This will ensure that our engine and rockets don’t overheat when we break the sound barrier. 3) Storage: You want hard drives? We’ve got four 6TBs of them mounted on the other side of the case. There’s enough storage here to last us years in outer space. They are perhaps only eclipsed by our four 1TB Samsung 850 Pro SSDs that we’ve put in hyper drive RAID 0. 4) Case: CaseLab’s Magnum SMA8 is an astronomical chassis that is equipped to carry all the cargo we need to send our Dream Machine into outer orbit and back. It’s also got a super sexy paint job from Smooth Creations. 5) CPU: The central processing unit behind our rocket is Intel’s Core i7-5960X, which is the most advanced CPU money can buy as of this writing. It’s got eight core engines, which we’ve boosted to Mach 4.5GHz speeds. Ingredients TOTAL COST $21,325 CPU Intel Core i7-5960X $1,050 Mobo Asus Rampage V Extreme $470 RAM 64GB DDR4 Corsair Dominator $1,495 GPU 4x EVGA GeForce Titan X Hydro Copper $5,200 SSD 4x Samsung 850 PRO 1TB $2,560 HDD 4x WD Black 6TB $1,200 Cooling EKWB custom loop cooling $450 Case CaseLabs Magnum SMA8 $520 Paint Smooth Creations $800 OS Windows 8.1 $100 Monitor Dell UltraSharp UP2715K $2,500 Mouse Logitech Daedalus Apex $70 Keyboard Razer BlackWidow Chroma $170 Headset Kingston Hyper X Cloud II $100 Speakers Adam Audio 5.1-powered system $3,700 Sound system Sound Blaster X7 $400 LED strips Logisys RGB LED $90 PSU EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 $450

First DX12 Game Available Today, 'ARK: Survival Evolved' Free Through The Weekend On Steam ARK: Survival Evolved launched on Steam in "Early Access" in June of this year and has been one of the most po[CENSORED]r games sold on the platform since its release. Currently, the game is #11 on Steam's top sellers list, among massive titles such as Rocket League and Grand Theft Auto V. Being an "Early Access" title, the game receives frequent updates and patches, and today it will receive one of the most hotly anticipated updates: DirectX 12 support is coming to the game, making it the first title available using Microsoft's latest API. It's unclear what time the update will occur. The developer update simply stated "This Friday." Along with the API update, the game is being offered for free this weekend on Steam. If you haven't had a chance to try the game out, this is a great opportunity to give it a whirl before committing. It's also a great chance for anyone interested in seeing what DX12 has to offer first-hand. Throughout the free weekend, Studio Wildcard will launch hundreds of new official servers that will include an Extinction Event. This will only happen one time, according to the company. Through the weekend, new players can join these servers and try to locate random supply crates. Inside some of these crates will be coupons for 50 percent off the purchase of the game. Some lucky winners will receive free copies of ARK: Survival Evolved. The Extinction Event will conclude at 11:59pm EST on Monday with a "meteor strike" that will wipe out the servers. Studio Wildcard recommended only new players use these servers, but said that save data from these servers will be posted online for players to download and continue their progress in single player, or on a private unofficial server. Teams of four will be pitted against hundreds of other players in an epic battle. The prize: the chance to ride atop a dragon, as well as win actual cash prizes. As the completion progresses, a ring of fire surrounding the arena will creep in, forcing players closer to each other. You won't be able to just hide in the forest and wait this one out. The competition will run open preliminary matches from 6am EST on Saturday, August 29 and conclude Monday, August 31 at 11pm EST. Battles will run for two and one half hours each, and the winning teams of each battle will advance to the Pre-Championship matches that will start at 10am on September 1. The final 36 tribes will be put into a 144-player Championship match that will start at 2:30pm EST the same day. The championship match will be run over the course of four and a half hours, and will be streamed on SurvivetheARK's twitch channel. During the championship match, the dragon will make its first appearance in the game, and players will have the chance to try and tame it and ride it. Studio Wildcard noted that the dragon will be used to cull players if they are found to not be killing each other at a sufficient pace. The winner of the championship will be awarded with some significant prizes, with the first place team receiving $20,000 to be split four ways. The second place team will be awarded $10,000, and third place will share $4,000. Every player who manages to reach the championship match will also receive a $100 Steam gift card.

AMD Radeon R9 Nano Video Card AMD has officially revealed the Radeon R9 Nano, a quiet and power efficient graphics card designed for small form factor PCs. Measuring about six inches in length, the Radeon R9 Nano uses High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM), and features 30 percent more performance and 30 percent lower power consumption (175W) than the AMD Radeon R9 290X card. This enables gaming enthusiasts and modders to build compact entertainment systems with enough power to deliver 4K gaming to their living room televisions along with VR experiences. When it comes to performance the folks over at AMD believe that the AMD Radeon R9 Nano is the fastest Mini-ITX graphics card to ever be released. They included some 4K performance results against the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Mini-ITX graphics card to show that this tiny card is superior and has enough horsepower to beat one of NVIDIA’s flagship series cards. Then again, the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 Mini ITX Overclocked 4GB video card is priced at $312.99 shipped and this card is $649. Getting 30% more performance for more than doubling the price point is going to get a bunch of people fired up. If the AMD Radeon R9 Nano was priced at $399 it would be much more appealing gamers, but it isn’t and you have to keep in mind that it’s the full Fiji GPU. First shown at E3 2015, the Radeon R9 Nano uses the graphics chip codenamed "Fiji," and will be available starting September 7, 2015 . The compact video card will support DirectX 12, AMD Eyefinity, AMD Crossfire, AMD FreeSync, AMD LiquidVR, and 4K Resolution. AMD Radeon R9 Nano Graphics Card Specifications:

Microsoft's Cortana On Android: It's Almost As Good (And Creepy) As Google Now Microsoft released Cortana, the voice-activated digital assistant built into Windows 10 and Windows phones, for all Android phone users in a public beta on Monday. That app competes directly with Google GOOGL Now, the digital assistant built into all Android phones. I put both through their paces to see whether it’s time for Android users to make the leap to something new. Both were surprisingly good; the answer may rest in how you feel about your personal data–and which desktop platforms you prefer. Why you should use a digital assistant ? Digital assistants on mobile phones are an incredible way to get information quickly, especially if you’re going hands free. Early verions weren’t tremendously useful Siri in particular took some early abuse for not understanding her owners’ commands–but most apps perform at a high level now, thanks in part to better algorithms for voice recognition in noisy environments. They work best when they have an uncomfortably good knowledge of your personal life. Given access to your calendar, your calls, your messages, your email, your various accounts, your contacts, even your Web browsing history, they assemble a computerized picture of what you like, where you’ll be and what you’ll want next. You can command them to call people by name or relationship to you; add new calendar entries manually, or in some cases, automatically; or save notes for yourself. On a more sophisticated level, you can save reminders for yourself, including those that pop up when you have some other trigger (a reminder when someone in particular calls you, for example.) And good digital assistants integrate seamlessly to Web searches, dropping you to a search results window when your request doesn’t fall into their standard, extensive list of commands. The creepiest–and coolest–function of digital assistants is their ability to anticipate your next move, providing Jarvis-like warnings of the issues that may face you during the day. They might warn you about the weather tomorrow, or tell you that it’s time for you to leave for your next appointment.
