Elon Musk hints at Tesla's entry into India in 2021 Tesla currently sells electric vehicles like Model 3, Model S, Model X and Model Y. HIGHLIGHTS : Elon Musk has been hinting at Tesla's entry into India for quite some time now. Elon Musk indicated about Tesla's entry into India in 2021 in a Twitter post. Tesla had unveiled the Cybertruck in November 2019. Elon Musk has been talking about Tesla's plan to enter India for quite some time now. The electric automobile manufacturer's CEO has now hinted that Tesla may arrive in India in 2021. While replying to a Twitter post, with photographs of t-shirts having captions like 'India Wants Tesla' and 'India Loves Tesla', Musk said: "Next year for sure." Musk did not stop here. A Twiter user had posted: "Omg!! Elon this is a celebrating news.. We were waiting for ages." In his reply, Tesla CEO said: "Thanks for waiting!" For Elon Musk, taking to Twitter to divulge important details about his company is not new, more so when it comes to Tesla's foray into India. In March 2019, Musk had said that Tesla would definitely arrive in India by 2020. Then again in July 2020, he had hinted at the company's foray into India in a year's time. However, responding to a question in August 2019 on when Tesla will enter India, Elon Musk said in a tweet: "I'm told import duties are extremely high (up to 100 per cent), even for electric cars. This would make our cars unaffordable." At present, Tesla sells electric vehicles like Model 3, Model S, Model X and Model Y. It had unveiled the Cybertruck in November 2019. The Tesla Cybertruck's production will reportedly start in late 2021. Among the po[CENSORED]r electric vehicles currently on sale in India are the Tata Nexon EV, the MG ZS EV and the Hyundai Kona Electric. Mercedes-Benz will launch the EQC in India on October 8, thereby becoming the first premium car manufacturer to launch a fully electric vehicle or BEV here.1 point

How to Overcome Depression Take A Different View With depression often comes a psychological myopia: the sufferer robotically repeats to him or herself soul-sucking negative thoughts: “Nothing I try ever works out” “How could I have been so stupid?” “I am not worthy of being loved”. A patient deep in the throes of that kind of thinking can, if unchecked, spend an entire session staring at one spot—often the floor. At those moments I prod, “You are so stuck on only seeing things one way that you miss any other possible view. Literally. If you force yourself to look up, there are a variety of objects in the room to observe and ponder—a bookcase; lamps: paintings; a window with sunlight streaming in… It’s not that my office is so fascinating, but there is so much you miss when you refuse to look.” The patient then sheepishly lifts his or her eyes to take in the entirety of the room (“Oh, I never noticed that funny placard!”) as I hammer home the point: “There are a plethora of ways to view anything. Instead of continually convincing yourself everything is hopeless consider all the other options. There is always a Plan B.” Visualize A Happy Memory When a patient continually revisits a painful memory (say, of a romantic rejection or failed business enterprise), it can tip him or her into near emotional catatonia. I say, “Wait, before you ‘go down the rabbit hole’ and all the dark feelings overwhelm you, close your eyes and go to a happy memory.” *Paul remembered, “When I graduated from college, looked out at the audience and saw my family looking so proud, I felt amazing and powerful.” I said, “Great, go there. Let’s relive that wonderful experience.” As he described details from that lovely day (his mother’s periwinkle blue dress; standing on the stage holding his diploma…) his posture went from slumped over to peacock proud. He actually smiled. I suggested, “The moment you feel yourself sliding back to an awful memory that takes you under, take a breath and instantly conjure up graduation day. Counter the gloom with an immediate dose of positivity!” Tell Me Something Good A depressed person has earned a PhD in The Art and Science of Self-Hatred. When I ask, “How do you see yourself?” I get answers like: “I’m boring.” “I’m a coward.” “I’m ugly.” “I’m not smart.” To the speaker, these sentiments are absolute truths; his or her sense of identity, a soul-less place to live that is familiar, thus offering a ‘comfortable discomfort’, with no exit door. As long as these annihilating beliefs rule your self-image, nothing good can break through. When I ask, “Tell me good qualities about yourself,” I am initially greeted by silence. Then I hear a halting, “I’m kind” or “I’m caring.” If the patient gets stuck, I help out: “You’re a loving mother.” “You are a survivor.” “You are a nurturer” “You are super considerate.” “You are reliable”… As we construct a list, I ask the patient to write down the wonderful attributes and keep repeating them when the ‘toxic wheel of self-hating talk’ begins. I suggest asking friends and family members to email a list of positive qualities they value in my patient. The next step will be “to compile, print out the list and carry it in your wallet like a talisman.” For extra inoculation against the constant negativity, I suggest the patient write positive qualities on post-its and sprinkle them around the house: stick “I have gorgeous eyes” on the bathroom vanity, place “I’m reliable” on the refrigerator and so on…You are what you ‘feed’ yourself spiritually speaking. Exchange the “everything I hate about myself” mantra to “all the qualities that make me a special, unique, lovable person.” Make Plans When a person is depressed the only place he or she wants to be is in bed, preferably under the covers with the shades drawn. Lifting up the phone to hear a friendly voice, much less having plans outside the bare minimum (work, school, grocery store) feels way too difficult. The Internet has made it dangerously seductive to keep to oneself. Studies show that limiting social media to approximately 30 minutes a day decreases depression. I tell patients, “It’s a catch-22 that when you are depressed the last thing you feel like doing is getting out of the house. But it’s essential to make the effort to take a shower, get dressed, take a walk, go to the gym, and socialize.” For months I would ask *Gina near the end of our Saturday afternoon session: “What are you doing after you leave here?” Gina, who lived alone invariably mumbled, “I’m going home to do laundry.” I started ordering her to have something specific planned post-session. She began joining meet-ups (“Wow, ballroom dancing is kind of fun!”), visiting the botanical garden, baking cookies with her sister… The more she ventured outside her four walls, the more her mood lifted. Find Something to Look Forward To This is a technique I routinely use as an anti-blues vaccination. (I’ve shared that I suffer from High Functioning Depression.) When I’m down I search for something to put on the calendar that makes me happy and excited. Indeed, this 2007 study showed that people get an emotional lift when they contemplate a future fun event, versus looking back on a fabulous activity from the past. Book a trip, buy concert tickets, plan a party—whatever brings a flush to your cheeks and rumble of joy to your belly. My biggest mood-turnarounds arise when I begin a project that can potentially create some good in the world and lead to fulfilling connections. For example, I’ve volunteered as a mentor to underserved young women who want to write, sought publishing contracts to write a book, taught workshops, submitted a video to do a TedX talk (haven’t heard back on that one yet!). The point is: stop continually telling yourself nothing good will ever again happen—you’ve been there, seen that, done that.1 point

US carries out air strikes on Taliban in Helmand The United States carried out several airstrikes against Taliban fighters in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, the spokesman for the US military in Afghanistan said on Monday. The United States carried out several airstrikes against Taliban fighters in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, the spokesman for the US military in Afghanistan said on Monday. The strikes, carried out over the last two days, mark a rare military intervention by the US since it signed an agreement on troop withdrawal with the Taliban in February. Col Sonny Leggett, the spokesman for the US military in Afghanistan, on Twitter confirmed that the American forces conducted over the past couple days several airstrikes in support of Afghan security force under attack by Taliban in the southern Helmand province. Legget also said that the strikes over the past two days in Helmand did not violate the US-Taliban agreement signed in February. "Over the past two days USFOR-A has conducted several targeted strikes in Helmand to defend ANDSF forces under attack by Taliban fighters, consistent with the US-Taliban agrmnt. USFOR-A has & will continue to provide support in defense of the ANDSF under attack by the Taliban," Col Sonny Leggett tweeted. "The Taliban need to immediately stop their offensive actions in Helmand Province and reduce their violence around the country. It is not consistent with the US-Taliban agreement and undermines the ongoing Afghan Peace Talks," Leggett, in another tweet, said quoting Gen Scott Miller, the Commander of the US Forces in Afghanistan.1 point

Health Tips for Healthy Living What is healthy living? "Healthy living" to most people means both physical and mental health are in balance or functioning well together in a person. In many instances, physical and mental health are closely linked, so that a change (good or bad) in one directly affects the other. Consequently, some of the tips will include suggestions for emotional and mental "healthy living." Healthy eating (diet and nutrition) All humans have to eat food for growth and maintenance of a healthy body, but we humans have different nutrition requirements as infants, children (kids), teenagers, young adults, adults, and seniors. For example, infants may require feeding every 4 hours until they gradually age and begin to take in more solid foods. Eventually they develop into the more normal pattern of eating three times per day as young kids. However, as most parents know, kids, teenagers, and young adults often snack between meals. Snacking is often not limited to these age groups because adults and seniors often do the same. Tips: Eat three healthy meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner); it is important to remember that dinner does not have to be the largest meal. The bulk of food consumption should consist of healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat milk products. Incorporate lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts (with emphasis on beans and nuts) into a healthy diet. Choose foods that are low in saturated fats, trans fats, cholesterol, salt (sodium), and added sugars; look at the labels because the first listed items on the labels comprise the highest concentrations of ingredients. Control portion sizes; eat the smallest portion that can satisfy hunger and then stop eating. Healthy snacks are OK in moderation and should consist of items like fruit, whole grains, or nuts to satisfy hunger and not cause excessive weight gain. Avoid sodas and sugar-enhanced drinks because of the excessive calories in the sodas and sugar drinks; diet drinks may not be a good choice as they make some people hungrier and increase food consumption. Avoid eating a large meal before sleeping to decrease gastroesophageal reflux and weight gain. If a person is angry or depressed, eating will not solve these situations and may make the underlying problems worse. Avoid rewarding children with sugary snacks; such a pattern may become a lifelong habit for people. Avoid heavy meals in the summer months, especially during hot days. A vegetarian lifestyle has been promoted for a healthy lifestyle and weight loss; vegetarians should check with their physicians to be sure they are getting enough vitamins, minerals, and iron in their diet. Cooking foods (above 165 F) destroys most harmful bacteria and other pathogens; if you choose to eat uncooked foods like fruits or vegetables, they should be thoroughly washed with running treated (safe to drink) tap water right before eating. Avoid eating raw or undercooked meats of any type. Tips for special situations: People with diabetes should use the above tips and monitor their glucose levels as directed; try to keep the daily blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible. People with unusual work schedules (night shifts, college students, military) should try to adhere to a breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine with minimal snacking. People who prepare food should avoid using grease or frying foods in grease. People trying to lose weight (body fat) should avoid all fatty and sugary foods and eat mainly vegetables, fruits, and nuts and markedly reduce his/her intake of meat and dairy products. Seek medical advice early if you cannot control your weight, food intake, or if you have diabetes and cannot control your blood glucose levels.1 point

I’m immune, have a protective glow. I beat this crazy horrible China virus: Donald Trump A day after US President Donald Trump’s doctor affirmed he was no longer a transmission risk for the coronavirus, the President declared himself immune from the coronavirus. Aday after US President Donald Trump’s doctor affirmed he was no longer a transmission risk for the coronavirus, the President declared himself immune from the coronavirus. As he prepares to return to the election campaign trail and fight to regain ground against rival Joe Biden, Trump said in a Fox News interview on Sunday, “It looks like I’m immune for, I don’t know, maybe a long time and maybe a short time, it could be a lifetime, nobody really knows, but I’m immune.” “I have to tell you, I feel fantastic. I really feel good. And I even feel good by the fact that, you know, the word immunity means something — having really a protective glow means something. I think it’s very important to have that, to have that is a very important thing I beat this crazy horrible China virus,” he said during the interview. “You have a president who is immune... so now you have a president who doesn’t have to hide in a basement like his opponent,” he added — in a jab at the Democrat Biden and his far more cautious approach to campaigning in the pandemic. The coronavirus has killed more than 210,000 Americans since February. During his phone interview on Sunday, Trump also suggested that his White House rival could himself be sick. “If you look at Joe, he was coughing yesterday horribly and grabbing his mask, as he’s coughing And I don’t know what that was all about, and it didn’t get much press,” he said. The Biden campaign has been publishing daily coronavirus tests for their candidate since Trump tested positive on October 1 — landing him in hospital for three nights and derailing his campaign. There has been less transparency surrounding Trump’s own state of health, with his medical team repeatedly refusing to say when he last tested negative for the virus. This has fuelled suspicions that he may not have been tested for several days prior to his diagnosis. Trump rallied hundreds of supporters for a comeback event at the White House on Saturday, and is planning back-to-back rallies this week in a bit to salvage his struggling campaign three weeks from the November 3 election. The US President is slated to make his first public appearance on the campaign trail since that diagnosis at a rally in Florida on Monday. He also plans to hold evening rallies in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday and in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday. The Election Day is November 3, just over three weeks away.1 point

How to make your skin glow overnight The trick to getting glowing skin overnight is to do the right things before you go to bed. Here, are some overnight tricks that can help you make your skin glow. Are you searching for a way to brighten up your dull skin? If yes, then you can use this article as a reference. The most common factors that cause dull skin are unhealthy lifestyle habits like having an unbalanced diet, lack of proper skincare, lack of sleep, excessive alcohol consumption and more. All these factors cause an adverse effect on the state of your skin and leave it looking dull and lifeless. But there are certain ways through which your skin can get that glow while you sleep. The trick to getting glowing skin overnight is to do the right things before you go to bed. Here, are some overnight tricks that can help you make your skin glow. Milk Milk is a great ingredient for your skin. It is used by women all around the world. Apply milk daily before you go the sleep. Regular applying of milk makes your skin glow naturally. You can even use it as a regular moisturizer. All you have to do is just use a few drops of coconut oil and massage it in, to deeply hydrate your skin. Coconut oil has antibacterial properties that will help improve the overall health of your skin and help your skin glow. Nissan Magnite global unveil on October 21 The Nissan Magnite will challenge the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue and the Tata Nexon, among others. HIGHLIGHTS : The Nissan Magnite concept was unveiled on July 16. We are expecting the Nissan Magnite to be launched in India in early 2021. The Nissan Magnite price might be between Rs 5 lakh and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). Nissan India today announced that the production-spec Nissan Magnite will make its world premiere on October 21. The Nissan Magnite will enter the sub-4metre compact SUV segment, where it will take on the likes of the Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The Nissan Magnite concept was unveiled on July 16. While we got to know the exterior details of the Magnite concept at the time of its global debut, the interior details were revealed the following month. From everything we have seen so far, we must admit that the Magnite comes across as a sporty vehicle with some impressive features. The front of the Nissan Magnite is characterised by a blacked-out octagonal grille that is flanked by sweptback LED headlamps and L-shaped LED DRLs. The front bumper has sharp lines enhancing the style statement. The side profile boasts of flared wheel arches having black-cladding. The floating roof design, silver-finished roof rails, blacked-out ORVMs and alloy wheels combine to accentuate the overall sportiness of the sub-4metre compact SUV. At the rear, you will find LED tail lamps, contoured tailgate and spoiler. The Nissan Magnite concept's interiors had impressed one and all. The official images released by Nissan India showed the cabin loaded with features like large touchscreen infotainment system, multi-function steering wheel, all-digital instrument panel and push start/stop button. The design of the dash looked quite neat. The dash, as well as the upholstery, had hexagon patterns. The hexagon-shaped air vents looked different, something we have not seen in the segment so far. Although there has been no official word regarding the powertrains that will be available with the Nissan Magnite, several reports have suggested that the sub-4metre compact SUV will have 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine options with manual and automatic transmission choices. We are expecting the Nissan Magnite to be launched in India in early 2021. The Nissan Magnite price might be between Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom).1 point
